Great breakfast spot in Metairie. Service is quick. Ample seating. Good variety of menu options! We tried the bfast sandwiches and traditional breakfast which was pretty good. The corned beef was perfect, not too salty or greasy. Will have to try more items next time!

I will say the food came out quick and tasty. However, there were no meat substitutions for non pork eaters. (Turkey or chicken sausage would be nice). The main reason I will not recommend this location is their false advertising of prices. Their onlinemenu and their HANDWRITTEN menu have different prices than what they charge. In my case I ordered 2 kids waffle wt berries (it does not say add berries for additional costs) for $6 however it was rung up at $9 and my blue line breakfast on their online site and board shows as $11 but they rung it up at $12, mind you I did not have any of their protein as I couldn't have it. Even their kids only price is $7. Here's the thing, I don't mind prices being raised bc we all know our economy is poop. However, don't have one price and charge me another cause I feel lied to, and when asked I was just told oh yeah the prices have changed. Well why not disclose that AT THE COUNTER. To add insult their "fresh OJ" is $7 for a small cup. (Half of a plastic cup) and it taste like they used the full orange without peeling in a juice processor - godly awful and sinful haha. It's a big no for me to go back. My first experience did not leave me wanting to go back. If you go I hope your experience is different.

Top left is the grits, then beneath that is the duck-duck-goose waffle, and finally we have some traditional breakfast items.

I'm going to start with some minor irritations. I don't like the very hands-off approach of this place. We seated ourselves, but were only allowed to do so after placing the order. The way we had to order was at the counter, without being given menus. We had to read off the chalkboard on the wall above the bar, which was difficult because the writing wasn't very big and there was a line of people waiting to place their orders so I felt rushed once I finally got close enough to read it. I wish they would just give people menus and let us order it from the table, because it was a packed house and everyone was looking for seating and saving spots like they were going to run out. I also didn't appreciate the self-serve drink counter. My mother ordered a Bloody Mary and was given a cup of iced vodka, then told she has to mix it up herself at a drink station. The waitresses were more busy bussing tables than waiting on us because we did everything ourselves apart from cooking and bringing it to the table. Now that I've got my gripes out of the way, let me say that the food was excellent. The cooks know what they're doing. All of our food came out around the same time. The grits are epic and I definitely recommend them. Once you get past the other stuff, the food is worth the 5 stars.

Food must be ordered and paid at counter, you take a number and food is brought to your table. The woman that takes the order at the register was friendly and quick and did not make us feel rushed. We ordered the Cochon de Lait biscuit and the Blue Line Breakfast, both with a side of grits. The grits were pleasantly creamy and the the Cochon de Lait is very filling (I had to take half of it home). My boyfriend enjoyed his classic breakfast, especially the jam that accompanied his meal. My iced coffee with almond milk was perfect not bitter. Why I give this review a 3 is because the place felt untidy and though I did not verify, kids at the table next to ours were complaining of the uncleanliness of the female bathroom. I am curious to try the drinks from the Happy Hour menu after reading other reviews and would give it another try during the week when it is less crowded.

I am updating my review from 3 to 4 stars. I tried to like their breakfast and tried them a few times wanting to like it since this place is in my neighborhood and I just don't like it. Breakfast is mediocre with little flavor. BUT I was told to come here for lunch and I did and I do enjoy it now! Get the amazing tomato soup with the grilled cheese sandwich. Especially now that the weather is getting cooler. Ohhh it is so comforting and so tasty! I am very happy I found something I really like here other than those bacon infused bloody Mary's (maybe it's just a tomato thing here that they excel at). Anyway, thank yall for this comfort food!

Duck duck goose ! That's what I had and that's what I devoured. Ate it how it was nice savory slightly in the sweet side but it was still good. The misses had the breakfast burrito. She said it was ok but she did eat it all lol Order at the counter and find a seat. They kinda need a busboy but all in all the wait was short for a clear table. Ambience feel is like a 1970 dinner with dinner decor. Not so bad Would recommend and come again

Went for breakfast with some friends and this place was great!! They serve French truck coffee- hot or iced which was a nice option over regular diner coffee. Pancakes and waffles were delicious. The bacon was a little over cooked so I would probably get the sausage next time. And the cheesy grits are sooo yummy. You order at the counter but the food was pretty quick to come out. Definitely a quaint little spot to check out if you're in the area.

Stopped in for breakfast and had some delicious pancakes, waffles, and coffee. Friendly staff. Counter service. Perfectly crispy bacon!

This is an adorable Mom and Pop feeling, cozy cafe. You feel like you're walking back in time a little bit where things were simpler. You order at the counter and then sit down with your number. This is the second time I've been here and both times the food and service were the same, outstanding. I have to say, this is in fact my favorite biscuit and gravy of all time and the grits are in the running! The biscuit is soft, moist, thick, with crispy edges and the gravy is a sweet (from the onions I think) and salty, hearty, flavorful pork. There was a perfect amount of gravy to biscuit. The grits were creamy and thick. I savored every bite and made the dishwashers job easy. Make your breakfast prep easy by just going to Blue Line.

District meets the suburbs…read more I've been to the locations on Magazine and Harrison several times but 1st time I have been to this one. This one feels like a chain restaurant (which it now is) and has no real personality being pinned in between a bike shop and a Jersey Mike's inside of strip mall. The kolaches at District are really good. They have a variety of flavors, I usually get a smoked sausage, cheese and jalapeno which is tasty but this time I got a brisket boudin and cream cheese kolache in a collaboration with Gonzo's. This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.

The dough is soft, buttery, and rich without being heavy, and the cinnamon-sugar filling is perfectly balanced (sweet but not cloying). You can tell it's made with the same care as their donuts. The icing is generous without drowning the cake, and the traditional Mardi Gras sprinkles add that classic festive touch. It's indulgent, flavorful, and dangerously easy to keep slicing "just one more piece." Also worth noting: it stays moist for days, which is rare for king cake. If you're torn between traditional and over-the-top versions, this is a great middle ground--classic flavor, elevated execution. Easily one of the better king cakes in the city, and definitely worth picking up during the season. Would 100% buy again.

The service was nice the first time but the second time we really didn't have a good one. We had a guy that was really nonchalant and didn't pay us any mind. I could go into more detail but no need to bash anyone. But when someone acts like that it makes the food mediocre. But the food was decent my favorite thing I ate was the French Toast it was sweet and moist easily a get it again. The Crab Rangoon dip was elite as well so creamy and full of flavor. The Harrison BLT was a big let down just felt they didn't put any effort into it was kind of just there. A BLT is a very simple dish but has to be made with love and care. The Winser Scramble had a lot of potential but it only had 3 shrimp in there it's hard to forgive that when that's the only protein it has in there. The hangover bowl was pretty nice, literally any dish makes you get over any hangover you have brisket in a dish it's always hearty. Now to the McOutpost, I love the idea of it. I felt if the biscuit was a bit firmer and more flaky it would've been nice. Overall this spot is a pretty cool spot to go catch a vibe and a bite.
