Ordered 2 half chicken light only, which means the wing + breast and then another half chicken that includes the wing + breast + leg + thigh = so altogether, both orders $54.62 It seems expensive considering a whole raw chicken is about $5 but they do some voodoo magic to their fried chicken at Hotboys -- the seasoning is delicious, batter is crispy, and meat inside is still juicy -- the breast meat goes well dipped in their special sauce and they bagged plenty for me! Service was excellent -- very friendly and accommodating! The music is hyped up so it can be a little loud. Bathrooms were very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed digging into my half chicken with my hands. The wait is about 20 minutes but it's not a problem to wait for good chicken! It came out so hot that I was willing to burn my fingers a little LOL

We were waiting for like 40 minutes or so I think, so this is not really fast food if you were wanting fast food. And then, we go to pay, and first, they insist that we had gotten a 4 piece chicken and the sides separately, which costs more than if you get the combo. Both the cook and the cashier look at us like we have three heads when my husband insists we got the combo. And then, they gave us 12 wings instead of 6 and insist we ordered the 12. My hubs (who is a lawyer, so he's not afraid to argue), tells them to take 6 out because that's not what we ordered. And they just stare at us shaking their heads no, insisting we ordered 12. And the cook and cashier just stand there, waiting for us to pay. And they wouldn't budge at all. At this point, we just pay it, we're so hungry, we take it and go home. The food was fine. It wasn't incredible, and it wasn't terrible. It's hard to enjoy it when they scam you like that. I don't understand people -- why would you do that to your customers? We live in the neighborhood, and if we had a good experience, we would have come back. I like cooking indian food sometimes, and so I would had also come back to the store, but now I never want to set foot in there again. So yeah... that's my story. And so never again!

First, the inconsistent size of the chicken pieces. Every so often, I'll get a piece of chicken that is like 2-3 ounces, or about 1/2 the size of a normal piece. It's happened to me so many times that now I just go back to the counter and show them the tiny piece of chicken. They're usually pretty nice about it and will just give me another small piece to make it like a normal portion. Second, the weird pricing is a bit unfair. The single slider used to be $6. Over time it has gone up to $9, so basically $10 with tax. Fries are like $4.50 a la carte. So if you ordered 2 sliders and a fries a la carte it would be $22.50. But the meal with two sliders and fries, I believe it's $15. That's a nice discount for bundling the items, but sometimes I only want a slider. Slider alone should be like $7, not $9.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The tenders were nice big pieces, the biscuit was light and fluffy with a sweetness about it, no butter or honey needed. The mashed potatoes and gravy was not tha great though, they gave off an instant flavor and texture vibe I still ate it. Super good all around though and I will be back. Unfortunately, the Cheesling wings at this location have been really inconsistent. The last couple of times I've ordered them, the Cheesling powder was only lightly sprinkled on top instead of fully coating the wings, so they looked nothing like the photos on the menu. It almost seemed like the wings were placed into the to-go box first and then the powder was sprinkled over them. At other locations, I've watched them toss the wings in the Cheesling powder first, giving them a thick, even coating before boxing them up. The other flavors have been pretty consistent, but it's disappointing that my favorite item hasn't been. Service has also been quite slow on several visits. I really hope they improve because I'd love to support this location. But if the Cheesling wings continue to be this inconsistent, I'll probably just make the drive to one of the other Bay Area locations whenever I'm craving them.
