I waited 15 full minutes in drive through. When I finally got to the window, I said this isn't fast food. I could make a burger faster at home. They said oh yeah it's not fast food. We make each burger fresh to order, like it's somehow better than fast food. Believe me it is not better the burger I got didn't even have the cheese melted on it. On Saturday, July 18 around 12:30, the volume of business was surprisingly low. There were no customers sitting at the outside tables and there was a handful of people inside waiting for food. When I approached the counter, I was informed by one of the two employees that it would be a 5-6 minute wait before my order could be taken. I didn't leave because I wanted to redeem an offer on the app. She then took my order. A few other times I've been here, the employees seem harried, and today was no exception. After about 7 minutes, two more employees appeared, but didn't show any signs of urgency; one of them was looking at her phone. My order arrived in 9 minutes and it was put into a bag, even though I did not request a take-out order. It would have saved the employee some effort if he had just handed me the tray and confirmed that it was a dine-in order. read more

My husband uses a walker. There was a sign next to the door indicating the restaurant is handicap friendly. Unfortunately, there is no handicap access to open the door. It is impossible to open the front door without assistance or enter the establishment using a walker or any other disability device by oneself. The doors are extremely heavy. This is not user friendly at all for a disabled person or their caregiver. It really put a damper on our experience. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and thankfully a gracious patron helped us navigate the door. How many sales are you loosing because of inadequate access? Also, it is impossible to find a direct email address to notify the manager or corporate regarding the issue. Please install a handicap access device to assist customers. I've tried contacting management about this issue multiple times but never received a response, so I'm sharing my experience here. I placed an order through their app, and when I arrived, my food was sitting behind the counter instead of in the pickup area. Assuming it wasn't ready yet, I waited. The employees noticed me several times but didn't say a word or ask if I needed help. After waiting a while, I finally asked, only to find out my order had been sitting there the entire time. Just walked out of there after 10 mins of standing at the front counter waiting for my order to be taken. A heavy set Latino man refused to even look at me while he constructed boxes. After another customer asked what was going on I told him they dont seem to want to take orders verbally and I walked out. 5 minutes later I was at Five Guy's which attended me right away and served a great burger. How is this the most popular burger place in the US?? I've ordered food from there - three times - and it's been awful each time. They offer an option when ordering - like NO CHEESE - etc, then ignore it. They overcook the painfully dry slice of whatever that is, drench the bun in - olive oil? Butter? Something wet and gross. And you get a cold chewy weird cardboard thing in between wet buns. The fries? Abysmal. They're brown and soft and wet - and have no flavor. I tried really hard - I can't think of one single positive thing to say about this overpriced place. I contacted corporate to let them know how terrible the experiences were (I was guessing the specific location was problematic). I told them I won't eat there again - just wanted to let them know how annoyed I was at the money I lost over food I couldn't eat. Their solution? Offering me vouchers for a free burger. Seriously? After I told you they screwed it up 3 different times - and that I'd never eat there again? You make it right by telling me to eat there - again? That tells me the local location doesn't care and corporate didn't care enough to actually read my email. It's beyond a Hard Pass for me with Habit Burger. This was my go to in SB, I used to work across the street in Goleta so I went to that place nearly every night. Never had anything but a burger and fries. That location had a beach vibe but not close to beach, just a take out line and the food was great. I missed this food forever and for some reason I took a long time to come back to the habit even though they opened in my home town years ago. Man it is good food, and a way larger improvement from the beech hut with incredible menu upgrades. It is priced like fast food and yet has the quality of a sit in diner. Try the Fries! Where else can you get a salad for 5 bucks? The one item that knocked my socks off was the chicken club with perfectly grilled bread and the good lettuce with huge serving avocado. After taking pics the entire family came up from SF just to eat there the next day, I kid you not. Any burger chicken or hamburger is a 10 outta 10. The chicken nuggets also a 10 outta 10, a long with the fries. I didn't care for some of the fancy deep fried tempura avocado or green beans, but the family liked them. The fountain drinks are nice too, they got the mix correct on the coke, not as sweet and some other places that annoys me, 10 outta 10. Salad was great, nobody has 5 dollar salads like this. This place is priced near fast food places but you cant get anything this good at the name brand fast food places. I guess there are some issues with the other services, this place should really solve these issues, one lady was screaming about something about the app order, so yeah guys fix this because you are officially my favorite restaurant again just like you were in 96 in SB. So glad you are here, staff is nice, but also busy. If you come at a busy time, expect to wait, come early or come late. Yummy yummy to my Tummy. This are one of the best burgers I have had. The kiddos wanted hamburgers and suggested we go to the Habit Burger. First time at this location in Petaluma. I got the Bacon and cheese hamburger and the kids got the same but they they added avocado and all the trimmings. They were delicious. For Flavor I give it 7 stars but Yelp only lets me do five stars. The fries I didn't really care for they were not crispy like I like them but the hamburger definitely made up for it. Customer service is excellent and they are pretty quickly at getting food out. Definitely a must try when in Petaluma with the family and want to grab something to eat on the go. A Yum Brands company. They own Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and more. The place, the feel, it's like Chili's but more casual and personal. You can see cooks preparing your food and employees are so close and well, personal. On this weekday evening the restaurant was mostly empty although being early evening hours. A business like this found within a cluster of shops some distance from the main road would have a hard time luring customers. With no major signage letting drivers know burgers are close, they miss out on a lot of passer-by traffic. After hitting the local trampoline park, took my nieces for a bite. They enjoyed kids meals and made use of the free refills on fountain lemonade. My youngest nibling says the lemonade tastes real. A lot better than the ones she's had around town. I had tempura green beans. They felt healthy, I dunno if they are or aren't. For dining with kids, it worked. Not sure I would return. One and done kinda feeling. Was a huge Habit fan. Likely will be again. Just have to get over a recent experience. For starters - unless you like fried parm cheese - don't order the new pesto chicken sandwich. The bread is crusted with so heavy a layer of parm cheese I could barely taste the chicken and couldn't taste the pesto at all; not to mention the cheese is so crusty it shreds the roof of your mouth. Service or policy - they now charge 60 cents for extra ranch dressing. I get it. Inflation. And probably a lot of abuse. But I just spent $80 and tipped. The Habit has been our go-to dependable burger place in Petaluma. After this time I don't think we will return. Hubby ordered a charburger with no lettuce and with cheese. He ended up getting a paper thin beef patty with no hint of char on it. This patty came on a bun with nothing on it but three little pickles, a ton of mayo, and a thin slice of cheese. No tomato. No flavor. Might as well have gone to In N Out for their wafer thin beef patty because at least it tastes good! Our nephews and nieces love Habit Burger, so when they're visiting we always take them! Our experience has always been great--we've not experienced any rudeness from the staff or locked doors during business hours! The food is always great--we're not eating burgers and fries often for health reasons, but I've never had an issue with the food. I'd consider it pretty solid. I also love all the condiments they have available, especially pickled jalapeños which are great for cutting through the fat of the beef patty. This review reflects one order. I usually have a good experience but today was not that. I ordered food to be delivered just like I always do. About 25 minutes later I get a text from my delivery person that they are approaching with my food. About 2 minutes later I get a text saying that my food has been handed to me successfully. Only, it wasn't me. So I called the drivers number and told him that I did not receive my food. He says, "oh my god" a few times and says he'll fix it. About 10 minutes later I get another call from him asking my address again. About 10 more minutes pass and I get another call. This time he says that he is here. I walk out all the way to my driveway and look both ways. I tell him that I don't see him. He says," oh my god" a few times and asks for my address again. It goes on like this for a couple more rounds. 4 to be exact. Then nothing. Ok. Now I try to call the restaurant but there is no way to speak with a person. No help there. I call DoorDash because they were fulfilling the order. I did speak with a person but, he couldn't help me because I ordered through Habbit and not them. OMFG! I'm going to have to email them a complaint, that's my last chance to at least get my $$ back. Only thing is, to file a complaint, they want an order number and I don't have one because I never received my order! Ridiculous! I even went back to the order on Habits site and found my order but there was no ticket number there. So now I'm hungry, I'm really mad and I have no way to get help. Came in during a trip to petaluma with friends. Everything was closed so we entered up here at habbit burger instead of where we wanted to go. The place was actually clean and the sales associates were very friendly. This place was also bigger then the one in Sacramento so I do give them credit for that. I don't know why but I can't get over the fact that the food was actually pretty bland. There really just wasn't much to it. I oedered this bbq burger thing with bacon and fries. I couldn't taste the fries or bacon at all. This is deffinatly a burger shop that I'm not really seeking out or making a point to come back to.
