    Spicy Chicken Sandwich
    Steph T.

Stopped at this location while on a road trip up north. We had to charge our car in the Walmart parking lot behind this location and decided to walk over and eat lunch. The service was great, everyone very polite and helpful as usual at Chick-fil-A's! The restaurant was absolutely packed since it was about 1:30 (prime lunch time) so we got our food to go. The order did not take long to come out. Maybe depends on where you are, but the spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy at all. The fries weren't as fresh as I'd like. Overall, it was just okay.

Two happy customers going up route 95, we stopped to get a spicy deluxe and some waffle fries.

We were headed north on Route 95, needed to stop for a break and get a bit to eat. I have been hankering for Chick-fil-A for quite a while, and this location was handy. I was amazed at how popular this restaurant is, the inside is totally filled with customers, the outside is filled with customers milling around and the takeout line wraps around the building. As we expected, the food was tasty hot and spicy, and i really like the chocolate milkshake as well. We asked about how busy the restaurant was, and a lady at the counter said "it's not busy now, normally it's twice this busy!) I have to complement the staff at this location: not only were they extremely polite, but they quickly processed a long line of customers through and brought the order to our table without any delay or confusion.

I don't remember the last time I visited a Chik-fil-A, but this visit was far better than expected.  My friend and I shared a spicy deluxe, which comes with tomato, pickles, lettuce, a large order of fries and thirty chicken nuggets. Both the chicken nuggets and the chicken sandwich were juicy and tender.  We made them disappear in record time!  Part of the reason we finished it so quickly was the fact that it was really tasty; the other reason is that the chicken nuggets are VERY small - around the size of a tater tot.  It was difficult to believe that there were actually 30 of them in an order, but we counted them ;-) The fries were crispy and nicely fried; they tasted fresh and natural.  They're waffle-cut, which I like, but we found that if you don't eat them right away they get really soggy and unappetizing. Tip: There's a surprising wide variety of sauces available to go with your food.  I enjoyed the honey mustard BBQ and the Chick-fil-A sauce, but didn't really care for the other ones.  You might though, so give 'em a try when you stop by :-) While the value proposition for the food was pretty good, it took almost 20 minutes for our orders to be ready.  The staffers were helpful and friendly, but "fast" food shouldn't take this long...

I am updating my review as my experience last weekend was extremely better than the first two visits. I was traveling from Jacksonville, Florida to Wheelersburg, Ohio to visit family. This location offers convenience, right off Interstate 95 and has always been super busy and this day was no exception. The difference on this trip was the use of mobile pick up. The drive-thru line was long so I decided to order using the Chick-fil-A mobile app. Man I was impressed! I parked in a mobile spot and submitted my space number via the app. My food was delivered to my car in less than 3 minutes after submitting the order (even with a drive-thru wrapped around the building and spilling outside the parking lot). No lie! I will use this form of ordering from now on at this location. Thank you for my delicious chicken minis;)

I often find myself at this location with my family due to a variety of reasons. It goes without saying that we are a fan of this chicken chain, but one of reasons we find ourselves at the Pooler location is that it is one of only four Chick-fil-A (CFA) locations outside of Savannah for miles. It's conveniently located right off of I-95, but that means it's also a curse for the locals. Anyone traveling up and down I-95 stops here. I think the next one is in Brunswick going southbound and the next one northbound is probably in South Carolina. Whenever we're in Pooler, it's one of our go to spots for a quick meal. This particular time, my husband and I were shopping and running errands around the Tanger Outlets and he pulled into the CFA for us to grab some lunch on the fly. - Parking - This store is located in front of the Home Depot and it has its own private lot. - Vibe - It's always busy. Like, ALL THE TIME! This location is a lot smaller than most CFAs I've been to and for the amount of traffic it gets, I wish the big cheeses at corporate would have built it a little bigger, but then again, bigger space would mean more people and then that would mean more chaos. This particular visit though, we noticed the long line at the drive thru, which was to be expected and we decided to peek inside to see if the line would be any shorter and what a surprise! There was barely anyone inside, which seems like an isolated case because like I said, it's busy ALL THE TIME! - TLC - Also as expected, we've always experienced great customer service, despite the chaos. Kudos to the staff for keeping it together with a smile all day long. They are always so polite and they have a couple of people always floating around the dining area to clean tables, refill drinks and whatever else customers need, etc. - Eats / Refreshments - S/O to Katie Q. for the heads up, but I did not know CFA rolled out some new menu items so of course, for this visit, I was excited to try the Mac and Cheese! Mac and Cheese Combo - This one is an 8 count nuggets with a side of Mac and a drink. The lady at the cash informed me that essentially, you can order the Mac as a side for $3.09. Well, wow! Bravo, CFA! Bravo! *insert clapping* That's some damn good Mac! It was elbow noodles in a nice creamy, cheesy sauce topped with melted cheddar. Looked like any ol' Mac you would find at a good ol' southern restaurant. 8 count regular nuggets - nice sized pieces and freshly fried! Frosted Caramel Coffee - I noticed that this was also a new item, so I replaced the drink in my combo with the Frosted Caramel Coffee. It's a nice balance of creamy and slushy consistency. I would definitely order this again. It kind of reminded me of the Iced Cappuccinos I used to get at Tim Horton's back home. My only recommendation is that the cap does not fit on the cup very well, and the stuff was leaking from the sides. - Heads Up - If you dine at CFAs a lot, download their app and scan it at the time of ordering to accumulate points for every purchase you make. You can redeem those points for all sorts of free items like cookies, ice cream etc. Enjoy!

Stopped of on I95 for a quick lunch while traveling. I enjoyed a delicious salad, received excellent service & the bathroom was clean.

Stopped off at while traveling along I95. Even though the store was extremely busy the cashier was very friendly. I ordered the market fresh salad & it was delicious. The bathroom was clean & that's always a HUGE plus.

I tried the garlic honey fried wings and they were really delicious. They definitely have a little bit of a kick when you first bite them, but as you continue eating them, the heat kinda slows down. At first, the price point can also seem a little pricey, but overall I think it was really worth it. I was able to have a 10 piece between myself and my spouse for two nights of dinner. I also didn't realize that they serve things like beer and wine and had available seating, so I'll definitely be back to try to dine in instead of taking out. I still had no issues with the takeout option, as my food was still piping hot by the time I got it home. They also have really cute decor inside.

The prices are higher than other places that specialize in chicken in this area, but it's full of flavor. Also love the pickled radish, but didn't like that I had to order that as a side. I'm used to that coming with the chicken as a palate cleanser, esp. if you have two savory flavors - my favorite combo here was the garlic spicy and red hot spicy. I came in on a weekday around 2 and it's was pretty empty, but I did some work while waiting for my food. Definitely going back!

Yea man, it is good-oud! We decided to dined in, being tortured by the Leopoldo's ice cream case the entire time as our food was prepared fresh because we gave up ice cream for lent. But I have been distracted and stayed from our focus here. Anybody got some ice cream? We covered the ambiance, FatzGirlz's is located in a gas station with a very clean restaurant, concrete floors, and three, two top tables. So dining in has limited seating but is very pleasant. But fret not, they offer carry out meals which are very popular as there was a continuous stream of customers the entire hour and a half we dined that did not stop. Here is why we enjoy going to a restaurant, it's the FOOD! And the food here is savory, tasty, hot, perfectly cooked, and an awesome eating experience. They offered us the best corn bread we have ever eaten topped with a chef recipe Maple and Bourbon topping which tasted fantastic. We ate the Salmon, crabmeat and shrimp and I could not finish it because it was a large portion which almost never happens. So come prepared to eat. My lovely, pristine beauty dining mate had their kissed fried shrimp that were so light, the shrimp floated above the surface of the table waiting patiently as they danced into our mouths. The candied sweet potato's were divine, and the collard greens were perfect. You don't just enjoy this food, you savor every bite! We met our Chef/Owner, her Sister, and our Server who were all a hoot and a lot of fun to talk with in this Family affair restaurant. Do you ever get that late night snack craving for some fried chicken? No? Just me? Oh... okay…read more.. Well, that's what happened. Stopped by at 9pm for a little snack and went with the 3-Piece Tenders with their Honey-Buttered Biscuit. Instead of ordering regular tenders, I chose spicy with a side of Zesty Ranch dipping sauce. We also ordered a Original 2-Piece Dark with biscuit. I think this was my first experience with Church's Chicken. The drive-thru was empty the staff greeted us quickly and was patient as we made out final decisions. Our food was ready in by the time we got to the payment window and received our receipt. Kitchen looked clean and organized from my perspective. The Chicken was hot, crispy, and tender! The spicy tenders were a good medium spice level. I liked that the "spicy" wasn't the flavor but that it was spiced, if that makes sense. However, for both the tenders and the original chicken, the consensus was that the chicken was lacking flavor. The Honey-Buttered Biscuits were slightly sweet but not dessert sweet. It created a nice balance to the spicy and savory chicken. Overall a good experience!

However, the one consistent thing is they always have - hot cheap chicken. And that definitely includes this location. However the nice thing about this location is the service is on point even in the drive-through. Now I will credit what appears to be a family owned operation, and one that I had not witnessed in a churches franchise setting before. Definitely appreciate the attention to detail and the prompt service delivered by this ownership team, which appears to be a family affair. I have stopped in two or three times now and each time my entire time in the drive-through line didn't span more than 9 to 10 minutes max and that was because there was already one or two cars in front of me. Both of my orders were delivered hot fresh and most importantly, correct. They even threw in a bunch of extra hot sauce and honey, which was pretty impressive because in my neighborhood, you always had to beg for an extra packet and they would get an attitude about that. I would definitely say if you are in this stretch of Tanger outlets and looking for some cheap eats, you could do far worse by going somewhere else.

I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.
