    There's a party going on
    Maria T.

A fun event was going on at this location: a daddy daughter dinner, complete with live music by my hubby, a cow princess, which was udderly adorbs, crowns and goodie bags for the youngsters, pink mocktails, photo sessions and chix nuggets all around. It was a cute party albeit a bit chaotic. Wow! So many people and kids! The place was packed. The lines for the drive through never got shorter and were nonstop. If you don't mind the excitement and deafening din, by all means come by for din din! We all know how good the food is at Chick-fil-A! But if you was some space and peace, you may want to try moooo-ving to one of their sister stores!

Family trip so we decided to grab a sandwich for the road. Normally I'd park and go in, but today we picked the drive through. They have two lines so we were thinking it wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong. We arrived shortly after 11 am thinking it wouldn't be crowded. There was already a decent line. We ordered our sandwiches and fries and then waited and waited and waited. We inched forward and then waited a little longer. After 20 minutes we made it to the window. For fast food Chick-fil-a is good...a little too salty but that's what msg does to food. If they would solve the drive through, I bet they'd seriously grow their business. I can't imagine being on your lunch hour and spending 20 minutes in line. I think I'll stick to parking and walking in for future visits.

Large fry that's not large at all!

I placed a curbside order today for 4 chicken strips, a large fry, small mango passion tea lemonade with light ice and a side salad. The food was brought to my car quickly which was a positive. Once I got home to eat any food, I pull out the fries and the container wasn't even full, it basically looked like a medium sized fry. I tasted my mango passion tea lemonade and there was no lemonade or mango and no ice. I called the restaurant to see if there was a way to get this resolved and the manager Jonah told me to either come up there to get it replaced or come again and mention the situation. I decided to go back tonight, so the situation was fresh in my mind and could get resolved now since I was hungry. I went back up to the location and went to the door since the drive-thru was very long. I was approached by an employee asking if I worked there and told her no and informed her of the situation. She sent a manager out and I was given a new large fry and a brownie and cookie to make up for the negative experience I just had.

    Spicy chicken / fries

So a few months ago it was my first time eating at a Chick Fil A. And all I can say is that it was chicky good. Long story short I eat only halal (similar to kosher), when I found out that my dietary restrictions are met at most VA locations, I got super excited. I knew while visiting my sister in Richmond, I have to stop at a CFA. The experience was good. Actually I'm craving a spicy chicken burger right now. Starting out with the bun of the burger, it really makes it or breaks it if the bun is not good. And boy, it was good, buttery, soft, mellow kind of good. The chicken was cooked just right with the hint of spice. The fries were the prefect way to get this. Waffle fries have always been my weakness and these just made me stronger for my future waffle fries weakness. The employees were very patient and polite because it was my first time and I took my time and asked questions. The sauces that you can take on the side are a must with the fries. And lemonade to drink with your meal and there you go, you get the CFA experience. I will be back Richmond VA for some halal Spicy chicken burger. ~

The food is fine and so is the service but it's absolutely ridiculous they can't have one person to help prevent people block traffic.

Cons: Overpriced for the portions and quality, Self-service ordering only, stingy room-temperature water. This was my first time dining at this location. I tried some of the items from the new Korean style menu. It was pretty late and the roads were still a bit snowy so we were almost the only patrons. We weren't welcomed when we entered, but we were greeted by a block of touch screens for ordering. No one offered to take our order so we made our way through the menu. The only complimentary water available was a self-serve dispenser at the counter with very small paper cups and room temperature water. I almost exclusively drink water and the paid drinks were $3.50+ so this was disappointing. The single K-Shack BBQ burger was amazing and I am looking forward to getting it again. It was a bit light on the sauce but the cashier did give me a feee cup of sauce when I asked. The crispy onions added the perfect texture. The BbQ not a strong or spicy flavor so I recommend anyone to try it. The small K-Shack fries were great. I would have liked a bit more seasoning. They were hot and mostly crisp. The cheese was glommed on, but it tasted good. The small Chocolate Pudding Blackout Shake really had a pudding-like texture and was delicious. My husband got a single hamburger. So that meal was about $40.... In THIS economy?! And it was especially upsetting as the ordering, water, and clean up is self-service. I'll come back once more to enjoy the Korean style menu but that will be it.

The wings; Garlic Buffalo, with ranch fries. The fries were good. Coated with a batter. So if you like regular fries, not sure you would like them. The wings tasted OK. Everything was fantastic. The chicken was crispy to the last wing, flavor of the sauce was excellent. Fries were crispy with great flavor with the buffalo each rub. We ordered a small and the bag was huge. I don't know if that was a mistake but if it was truly a small there would never be a reason to order the large as it could easily feed 4. Ranch dipping sauce was excellent and the coleslaw was surprisingly great. Service Food came out quickly and the staff was friendly. On this trip, my wife had the turkey club sandwich with curly fries. I ordered one of the new Meat & 3 meals, the fried chicken sandwich, which came with small fries, a cheese stick, and a peach cobbler roll-up. Everything was excellent. We dined in, and like most times we're here a manager walked around checking on guests and making sure everything was good. We were talking about how much we enjoy stopping at this location because of the food quality and how clean the restaurant is. I mentioned I had been talking with the gentleman at the table next to us who was eating the chicken vegetable soup, he said it was very good and had plenty of chicken in it. The manager asked if we had tried the zucchini bread. We hadn't, so he left and came back with a muffin for us to try , it was very good. The new peach cobbler roll-up is excellent, and I really hope it doesn't get discontinued. They used to have a caramel cookie that was the best and unfortunately they stopped selling it. Overall, this Arby's sets the standard for fast food. We'll keep stopping here every chance we get.

Of course, they wanted to do the challenge and try the hottest level--the "Reaper." But baby...when I found out it required me to sign a waiver?! Yeah, that was a hard NO for me. So we played it safe--one got the medium, and the other went with the hot (or super hot--whatever is right under that Reaper level). Now for me--I kept it cute and went with the mild slider and fries. I only ordered one slider because I saw how big they were on someone else's plate, and I was right--it was HUGE! And let me tell you, it was actually really good. The chicken was flavorful, crispy, and cooked just right. And listen... I am not a coleslaw person at all, but theirs? Surprisingly good! The pickle added that perfect sweet and tangy kick that pulled everything together. The restaurant itself was clean and had some really cool, colorful artwork that gave it a fun vibe. And the service? Excellent! The cashier was friendly, patient, and really knowledgeable about the different heat levels and flavors, which made ordering super easy. Now, the only downside for me was the price. It felt a little high for what you get, (the meal did not include a drink) so I did take off a star for that. But overall, the food was good, the kids really enjoyed it, and it was a fun stop during our trip. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend checking it out! Rating: 4/5
