This is a favorite stop for us between South Carolina and Virginia. The food is always good but the service is pretty average. For example, on our most recent stop they asked three times if I'd asked for unsweet tea. I had. It was marked unsweetened. But alas, it was very, very sweet tea. Super busy here on a Thursday afternoon. Tiffany was a very nice and quick employee which was helpful for a family trying to get going on their road trip home. Everything went smooth until we got back out on the road and noticed that I had been given a box of hash browns instead of a box of chicken nuggets. Had to turn around and go get our food. They were very busy, which, being a past chick fil a worker myself, I completely understand. But apparently at some point during the already 30 minute drive thru they bumped our order, so we were just sitting there for 15 minutes waiting for our food, nobody came to talk to us or ask us what we got. Then after they still didn't get back to us for another 10 minutes and then explained their error, once we finally got our food (two salads and two sandwich meals). It had been a full hour, and then we realized that our sprite was soda water, and all of our fries were small. Gross. Most Chik-fil-a's are nice and clean and the employees are friendly and polite. This is not one of those Chik-fil-a's. It was dirty.... trays overflowing on the trash can, drinks spilled on the credit card reader, bathroom destroyed, multiple tables dirty with food and customers were unable to sit and eat. The service here was amazing!!!! The place was PACKED, line nearly out the door, and we placed our order and got our food pretty quickly! And all the workers were so nice and friendly. I came across this chick fil a location while traveling north and ordered through the drive thru as usual. However, the line I was in (the one far away from the restaurant) was going 3 TIMES SLOWER than the inner line. We've been in line for at least 30 minutes. I had to use the restroom URGENTLY and I couldn't use the restroom inside so I had to wait and watch all the cars on the other side of the line past us and go way faster. Nobody came to explain or tell us why it's taking SO long. Nobody said anything, not even an apology for making us wait for more than 30 minutes in line to get our order. They are too busy to function properly. I don't see where their food is all that great to have to wait that long. Putting up orange cones to direct the traffic flow increases risk of pedestrian getting struck. People find some other place to go to lunch. read more

This was the first time I'd had Chick-fil-A and may I just say; WOW! So amazing. Service was top notch, the ranch (as weird as this may sound), was soooo nice. The chicken was tender but not falling apart and very flavored. The fries were so fluffy and perfect texture, not soggy but not burnt. Next time, we will definitely be avoiding this chick Fil a. The chicken on the market salad smelled like tuna and looked like it too. We returned the salad any got a full refund. So that's a plus. I gave it three stars because the staff was nice but they can't take off anything on the salad or swap out designated dressings. I know chick Fil a lemonade is supposed to be sweet, but this lemonade was entirely sweeter than other chick Fil As I've visited throughout the years. Altogether, we won't be returning. read more

This is a CFA, so obviously the menu is what one would expect from there. The service was wonderful (also as one would expect, being a CFA), with employees stopping by every ten-fifteen minutes to make sure we were okay. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. 9/10; would stop by on a road trip again. read more

On leave with my husband and we stopped at Chick-fil-A for a clean bathroom and quick meal. I ran in to use the restroom first and then I planned to come back out and order food for myself and my husband. The restrooms were so disgusting that I left. I would compare it to the nasty shell station bathrooms that I was attempting to avoid. I definitely won't be eating out of this place. The dining room was about as gross as the bathroom. Stopped here for a late dinner after driving from NY. We got there maybe about 40 mins before they closed. I ordered chicken strips and fries. They made a fresh batch of fries for me. This is the worst CFA I have ever been in. 1400 on a Friday - twenty minutes for a spicy chicken sandwich and two kids meals. Standard fare. Chik -Fil-A's most of the time are excellent in food quality and service. This one location not so much. Breakfast burrito overcooked - burrito and chicken inside. Also the service was very poor - no greeting after standing in front of a register for several minutes and then the receipt of the food was slow, slow, slow. I have been to several CFAs before. This one is by far the worst. Horribly inefficient- it took almost 10 minutes to get the order after it was taken. It wasn't busy at all. In most CFAs if your order is delayed, they will bring it to your table- not this one. We got 2 chicken strips meals, and 2 chicken nuggets meals. Nothing special. You'd have thought they had to chase the chicken down to kill it and cook it! Waffle fries were COVERED in salt- almost inedible. Highly disappointed. I for one will reconsider going to this location next time we travel thru this area. read more

I don't really like the company as a whole and I really really hate the "my pleasure" that they are forced to say. I want to buy from a person not a robot. With that being said the food is almost always great with chains like this you have to try them when they are busy and slow in order to get a full experience and they can get extremely busy. As far as getting food fast it's normally gotten quite quickly and still hot/warm when you eat it. Overall I will go here once in a while. read more

Chick-fil-A NEVER disappoints- you can count on good food and good service, except in Roanoke Rapids, NC. This CFA is clearly not well managed. The work crew looked bored and acted annoyed to serve you, hardly the "it's my pleasure " that one usually expects at CFA. This restaurant (in addition to manners) was lacking in supplies -no placemats for the little ones, none of the dipping ketchup containers and we had to go back to the counter to get the salad dressing and other dipping sauces we had asked for. Never imagined I'd leave a 2/5 review for Chick-fil-A. It hurts to do so but this is by far the slowest and most disorganized Chick-fil-A I've visited. I'm on the road constantly and frequent this chain as it seems to be one of the healthier on the go options. I have visited this particular Chick-fil-A in Roanoke Rapids probably around 5x as I'm in the area often for work. I've never had stellar service but after waiting in the drive thru today for 25 mins, I had to review. I have actually waited in another Chick-fil-A locations drive thru line happily for 30 mins before. Their line had more then 3x the amount of cars then were in the line at this location today and my meal came out fresh at that location with every condiment I asked for. Please work to improve your speed of service and double check bags for all the needed condiments and utensils before sending it out. I really hope to see improvement on my next visit. read more

My daughter and I stopped in on Saturday our way back to the DMV. I had been here before in May moving my parents down to South Carolina and had a great experience back then. We arrived to a full parking lot at 230pm. The place was beyond crowded but what do you expect for a travelling day after Thanksgiving. Anyhoo, we ordered our food which was nice and hot. The staff came by our booth to check up on us and wanted to know if we needed any more sauces and refills. This totally threw me off as a most welcomed surprise. The restaurant was extremely clean as were the bathrooms. I think what set this Chick-Fil-A apart was the fact that I didn't feel like another number in the herd. We've been here twice on stops between Virginia and the beach. On both stops, the chicken sandwiches were overcooked (how does this happen?!?),the fries were cold, and the staff was rude.
