I placed an online order with Popeyes at 11:56 AM for pickup at 12:15 PM. When I arrived exactly at 12:15, my order hadn't even been started. I ended up waiting until 12:50 PM for it to be ready. On top of that, the women at the counter were extremely rude and unprofessional. They also forgot my pies, and when I pointed it out, they made me wait an additional 20 minutes--even though the pies were clearly sitting right there. Completely unacceptable. This location needs serious improvement in both customer service and order management. I won't be returning. read more

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Myrtle Beach. I split a three piece chicken meal with my hubby. The food was good and hot just what you would come to expect. The cashier who took our order was friendly. I was just appalled and disappointed that I saw five employees in the kitchen who were not wearing their mask given that there was a sign on the door saying it is a state mandate. If it's not covering their nose and mouth it doesn't count. I hope and pray that patrons do not get infected. read more

Horrible service! I ordered a 2 piece white meat with fries and coleslaw via the drive thru. The young lady at the window intentionally gave me dark meat (two drumsticks) because there was no white meat cooked at the time. I had pulled off from the store not realizing that I had dark meat instead of white meat until I open the box. I went back to the store and notice that there were several people inside of the store waiting for white meat to be cooked. I had to wait 20 minutes for the manager to give me a refund. read more

On our drive to Myrtle Beach, we stopped at Popeye's for a quick lunch. We both ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich Combo for $7.19 each. It was a nice size fried chicken patty, pickles and mayo on a brioche bun. The combo came with a drink and a side. We shared the two sides - one Cajun fries and one Mac N Cheese. First time at this location and I can honestly say for a fast food restaurant the food was pretty good. I ordered the $5 boneless wings box with fries and a sweet tea. I was worried that the food was going to be cold and not at its freshest especially since the line was so long; but everything was hot spicy fries crispy and tea extra sweet. No real complaints about this location, service wasn't bad, the line was long but went pretty fast and the food came out quick and hot. On 09/13/21 at 5:38 pm I ordered tenders from the popeye's in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The price of the tenders was different on my receipt than from the drive thru menus. When I brought it to their attention, they told me that the menu is old and wouldn't refund the difference. I then asked for a complete refund, I handed back the drinks (I did NOT have my food at this point), I gave the 'manager' my ORIGINAL receipt and after 5 minutes ahe handed me back a REPRINT of the original receipt. So basically the POPEYE'S LOUISIANA KITCHEN on Julian Allsbrook Hwy stole (YES!!!! STOLE) a total of $38.76 from me. I left without any of the items I ordered. If anyone is going through North Carolina on I-95 and getting off exit 173 DO NOT GO TO POPEYES!!!!! Waited in line 10+ minutes to order. Waited 30 minutes after ordering and they never called my order number. When I inquired, they had no idea what happened to it. This store was understaffed and VERY mismanaged. They did not keep tickets with orders as they came out. When I went up to ask if the bag on the counter was my order and told them my order number, they asked what I ordered. They then had to thumb through the food (opening the boxes) to determine that it wasn't my order. I saw them do this with other people too. After 45 minutes when I really had their attention and they were going to prioritize my order, they told me they were out of biscuits and it would be 5 more minutes. At that point I asked for my money back and then left. The employees were individually working hard but there was not enough of them and they had no leadership or system. It's highly important to review these fast food restaurants as well. I go on road trips maybe once or twice a year and having more reviews for these stops would be a lifesaver. This Popeyes was very friendly and extremely courteous. I'm not sure if it's that southern hospitality but they were very accommodating, giving us extra napkins, plates and etc without hesitation or gave us any trouble. The lady who took our order was extremely friendly and she had a huge smile the entire time. The Popeyes in our town was non existent until recently and they had some staffing issues which caused some unpleasant backups and bad press. But this location was awesome! Am normally a Popeyes fan but was very disappointed on this dine in. Approached the counter waited several minutes before anyone even said anything to me and that even was presented as I was interrupting them. Had to repeat my order several times to get it right. Communication skills with the person taking my order was an issue. While waiting I observed two employees chasing each other with a squeegee and cleaning solution sprayer in the food cooking and prep area. When done they went back to handling food. Am not a germa don but I've worked in enough kitchens to know chemicals can cause an issue for a persons health. There where cleaning products in the serving area for the fries. Finally got my order still poor communication from staff. No thank you or enjoy your meal, everyone just wanted to horse play or sit in there cell phones. Anyway received my food and still got the wrong order, not a surprise. The store was missing supervision and failed to show any desire to do a good job. Another observation was the floors where very slick most likely not the correct water to cleaner mix. Probably a degrease residue on the floor making it actually a hazard. We patronize this Restaurant several times a month. The Chicken is the best in Roanoke Rapids. We always get good food and great service.

Hands down the best Popeyes I've ever been to. It's always nice to find a decent, clean place while traveling with my kids on a long road trip. You never know what you'll come across on the road. The customer service here was amazing and the manager was as pleasant as could be. I can't wait to stop here again on my way back down to SC. read more

I am very disgusted with this Popeyes. The food is good. However the people aren't friendly. They're advertising 1/4 L.B. popcorn chicken on the menu and on tv. I told the cashier that, she looked at me like I was stupid. They're the ones guilty of false advertising!!!! I really don't recommend this place at all. My wife and I have recently retired from Maryland to Rocky mount NC. Even though the Bojangle's here has good chicken, sometimes we have a taste for Popeye's. The Popeye's in Roanoke Rapids consistently does not fill our order properly. It has gotten to the point that we have to now check our order before we leave because the employees have been instructed by management, Bobbi, to substitute and not communicate this to the customers. It is a form of ripping the consumer off when you give them something less than they paid for. Also, offering us a free meal is not s substitute for cheating us. I would prefer to just get what we paid for. P.S. They do have excellent employees who strive to do a good job. read more
