BUT the employees at the Taylorsville Chick Fil-a were so wonderful this morning I had to pull over and leave a review immediately. Taylor helped me at the window and was so personable! I could have chatted with him for an hour. The sweetest, friendliest voice helped me at the intercom (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name!) too. I was especially impressed because I stopped for breakfast, which means the employees had been there since an early hour of the morning (coming off a holiday weekend!) and were still delightful. Chick-fill-A can't seem to provide lids that actually stay on a drink cup. I heard a customer complain very loudly about this issue not long ago while I was dining there. BUT I have kids so obviously I waited to get home to unbox which is when i realized that EVERYTHING. The gluten free sandwiches come with the bun pre wrapped separately and the sandwich fillings in a bowl with lid. Add your sauce, put it on the bun, and you're good to go. They have the staff to make the drive through quick and efficient. Conveniently located just east of the Regal Movie Theater and surrounded by shops. I never understood the hype over this place. We've come a few times (mostly before kids and it was drive thru, and out of state) so when they brought them to Utah I was like, I don't get it! Well, NOW I GET IT! We came inside after my son's soccer practice. 1st- service. OMG, I cant believe how friendly and attentive the workers are in a FAST FOOD restaurant. I was disappointed today, because when the sweet boy who brought out my food curbside, he only brought out half my order. My fries were completely missing. Also when I went to "give feedback" in the app, that button is complete crap! Because the only question it asked was "I felt confident that my order was received and the team was working on it." I had to send him back to get my fries, but he did help bring it back by asking me to verify that that was the only thing that was missing from my order. They also missed my chick fil a sauce. This was the single most bizarre experience I've ever had ordering food. Anywhere. And I've eaten at Training Table. We pulled up expecting the normal double-lane situation where you order into a speaker then shuffle into line zipper-style behind the other cars. But they had kids standing outside, taking orders at the window of the vehicles. Our .... Order taking kid (?) was a young woman who welcomed us VERY enthusiastically, then asked what we wanted. There were no menus posted alongside the driving path, so we said we didn't know and that we needed to see the menu. She asked, wide-eyed, if we'd never been to Chik Fil A before and I said "no". She gasped (literally, actually gasped) and said "Whaaaat?? You're from Utah, right?!?" I said "no" again and she said "WHAT?!? Where are you from?" I told her Idaho and she said "And they don't have Chick Fil A there?!?" then just stared at us waiting for an answer. I asked if it was a problem that we needed to see a menu and she responded "Oh, no! Of course not. I'm just messing with you guys, hahahahaha!" Then she stared at us again. I opened my mouth to ask for a menu, and she interrupted to say she'd go get one. Once we had the menu, she STUCK HER FACE INSIDE THE WINDOW OF THE CAR and just *stood* there, grinning and waiting for us to read it and order. We were literally leaning away from her inside the car, to feel comfortable. She had finally pulled her face back out of the car and started taking our order, when the car ahead of us moved and she asked us to pull forward. We did, expecting her to walk up and meet us when we stopped. Instead, she crouched down and walked alongside the car, and asked my partner to give her the rest of the order WHILE HE DROVE THE CAR! Afterward, another man came up and said he would take our money (we paid in cash), and he literally just stuck it in a cashbox inside the podium his iPad was sitting on. We waited the same amount of time we normally do when going through a drive through to get our food, so aside from being...unorthodox, I'm not sure what the point of this bizarre, maskless, and unnecessarily intimate experience really was. There are only two things I ask when I eat at a fast food restaurant: one--that the food is good. And two--that it comes out quickly. I have been to many a Chick Fil A in my lifetime and there is nothing wrong with the food. Chicken nuggets with the special dipping sauce (Polynesian and Chick Fil A) with the waffle cut fries and their special sauce (bbq and mayo mixed) make for a delicious lunch! This particular one though.. The employees weren't very happy or kind, they kind of just moved through the motions. They forgot my beverage when they brought out my food. Let me start off by saying, I love Chick-Fil-A. Just not this location. We just went through the drive through where there was literally three total cars. A very rare sight indeed. I ordered two spicy deluxe combo meals and a kids meal. The lady read my order back to me as such. I get to the window and she asked if I was picking up a mobile order. I said no. Then she asked me (a male) if I was Katrina. I said no. Then she asked my name. After telling her she said she didn't have an order for me. I reminded her that I just ordered it and gave my name at the drive through box. She finally found my order and read it back to me correctly...two spicy chicken deluxe meals and a kids meal. I get home and open my bag and what do I find? Two regular chicken sandwiches with literally nothing but two soggy buns, one....yes, one single pickle and the regular (not spicy) chicken breast on both orders. To top it off, it was cooler than room temperature and the fries were cold and soggy. Though the kids meal fries were piping hot, just not the other two. They also forgot to give us sauce. Needless to say, I will never return to this location. Such a bummer since its between my home and the in laws home. l will gladly drive out of my way to go to a better location from here on out. read more

It is a tad bit over priced, but since we live in Honolulu, it didn't phase us in the least. Worth EVERY dime. The service was friendly and super attentive. The chicken was everything I remember it being . . . absolutely incredible. They offer some "deals" like 30 nuggets for $12(ish). Mind you, that these aren't the pressed mystery meat that you will find at McDonald's, but REAL, slices/chunks of chicken cooked with LOVE (ok, peanut oil). I had the #2 meal: chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a drink for about $6.50 + tax. Not bad, but the fries weren't near as good as the sandwich. EXCELLENT!!! Drinks come with FREE refills locations . . . BONUS!!! (Although, someone told me that they limit the number of refills you can get in their mall locations - one. Makes sense). I will go back, maybe not to this location in Taylorsville, but I'm sure I'll find another. Oh, and our order took longer to get than expected, so they gave us a couple cards for free chicken strips/nuggets as an apology. The young man who helped us was also very courteous and apologetic. Spent more than 20 minutes to get my food because they didn't call me; if you ask for a name you're supposed to call the person then... I don't take issue with Chick-fil-A at all. I love their menu, their consistent service, and their desserts (yum!), but no one messes with my coffee! I was here 7/14, ordered one of their biscuit sandwiches, hash browns, and a medium coffee. When I cracked the coffee open, you could tell the dairy creamer they used was spoiled. Usually when milk products are out of date, you start to notice a separation of sorts, and that plenty showed in my cup of coffee. I called the manager and he was real apologetic, even offering another coffee. I took him up on that offer and again, had no issues at their location this morning until I peeled the lid over my coffee and saw the same issue again... spoiled cream. I really don't want to give their store a bad rating because it's not reflective of the experiences I've had before, but when quality is compromised, even sour, I need to address it. My family and I came through the drive-thru on Friday July 3rd around 2pm. I have never in my life had such a negative experience at a Chick-Fil-A location. When we first entered the queue, there was someone who appeared a manager in a button up shirt (not the solid red polos the other team members wear) who was yelling in frustration at the women who approached us to take our car's order. He was frantically waving his arms and looked upset that not all the cars could fit properly inside the area, as it was very busy at the time. We rolled down the window to order right as this manager grunted loudly, threw up his arms and stormed away from our server. Shockingly unprofessional. She was not smiling, but took our order quickly and scanned our app. Not one employee said the famous "my pleasure" the entire trip, which was surprising, and the back door had old boxes falling out of it. The restaurant looked messy, and not one of the team members was smiling. This is the kind of thing I would expect from McDonald's, never Chick-Fil-A. I'm not sure why I keep having hope in this place. This time they forgot items in our order. We couldn't use the lobby, so we had to get in line for the drive through to get our missed items. This place charges a small fortune for what they gives, gives poor service, rushes people through just to get the next person's money! I'm very disappointed with this chick-fil-a. Also, they use so much plastic in their packaging. The quantities are minimal. It's nearly $10 for a chicken salad now and the portions just keep getting smaller. This salad should be no more than $7. The grilled chicken nuggets are so small and the costs are astounding, so high for what you get. You know some people are living high off of our money.
