Updating my recent visit after the last one. I'm impressed that the owner of this (and several, if not all Jersey Mike's in Utah) actually reads the Yelp reviews on his business. He reached out and made it good. I always say that there's no way any business gets a perfect score. But when it does get a report of a bad experience, it is always an opportunity to show how you handle complaints and can even win more loyalty or more regular customers. Businesses should always use such times to show their customer service side. I've seen it happen both ways, for the business' benefit and also for handling things in a negative way. I came during the lunch rush. Bottom line is that I got my order quickly. Smiles all around from the employees, they were very nice and interested in serving their customers. I got my favorite, the #13 The Original Italian. They just pack their sandwiches with a ton of meat and veggies. Love it. Why, oh why would anyone go to Subw**? Subw** shops has that processed smell, can't describe it any other way. Jersey Mike's subs just taste more fresh all the way around and not processed like that other chain's sandwiches. Anyway, very pleased with the service and the quality of my sandwich. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Absolutely love a good Jersey Mikes sammich but this wreck of a store continuously messes up every order. Today's was the absolutely worst yet! Neither sandwich ordered via Uber eats was even close to being correct! I keep trying to give them another chance every 6 months or so but alas... Every time I come here, they make my food wrong. You have to micromanage them to make sure they make your order right. They always add oregano, which I hate, to my order even though I ask for it not to be on my food. They also didn't add all of the toppings I asked for so I had to add them at home. read more

The workers saw me looking over and immediately realized the mistake and quickly made it, and gave us free cookies and apologized. Wow! I ordered an Italian regular on the rosemary bread with jalapeños and there was an error message that said there was an issue with the transaction but my credit card was charged...I drove over and though the transaction was cumbersome the staff treated me with kindness and empathy and made my sandwich seamlessly. This is my new spot. The staff acted like owners and took care of the customer. Blown away amd the sandwich really hit the spot. Delicious and fresh. Why offer curbside pickup if you dont want to do your job and provide curbside pickup? If it is not something you want to provide then add a disclaimer or something to let us know its not available. When he brought it to me I told him that I saw what he did, he said that "it could've been that I was chewing gum". I really like Jersey Mike's subs. I feel a lot of sandwich shops are similar, and the big differentiator is the bread of the sandwich. Jersey Mike's has good bread. My favorite sandwich is their Philly Cheesesteaks sandwich which is extremely delicious. I recommend this sandwich shop. read more

Average experience. We came for lunch, and we waited for lunch. It wasn't the employee's fault, some terrible woman came through the line and ordered about 10 sandwiches 'to go' and she was not nice about it. There were 3 workers, but after we ordered, one of the workers dipped for some reason right in the middle of making that rude lady's order. That wasn't cool. This place needs more workers! I Ordered the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich and my husband ordered the pastrami one. It took a while, but it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of flavor. After waiting so long for our dine order we had to change it to a to go and when I did get to it about 10 minutes later, one end was very soggy. There are a lot of sub sandwich chains out there, but this is one of my more favorite places. I feel like the bread is better, the proportions are better, and there's some FLAVOR! So often, sub sandwiches are just bland deli meat on a somehow even blander hunk of stale bread. Never felt like their bread was stale, and there's always a good taste. read more

Went back just last night, 27 July, and ordered two #6 roast beef and provolone in giant size. I was a little leery about going back as my last experience with the odd-tasting roast beef and even the perceived skimpiness of the sandwich add-ons left me disappointed. Well, fellow customers, you have nothing to worry about. I suspect that it was just a bad night for the staff and the beef, as last night's experience was a marked improvement! And yes, last night's roast was outstanding...nice and rare and great tasting. Then on top of that, the staff there found us some extra-soft and fresh bread and then proceeded to load them both up with healthy amounts of the usual add-ons, including my wife's avocado and mine with the "Mike's Way No Onions", mayo on the top bun, and then soaked really good with their 'juice'. When we got home we enjoyed two outstanding subs, and it was right back to the way it was...and always should be! My husband and I come here often and have never had a bad experience. The customer service is always great, and the sandwiches are delicious! Unless you don't want it, all cold subs include "Mikes Way" which is onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend & spices... so good! You can also add other things (pickles, mayo, etc.) If you order a hot sub, make sure you specify what toppings you want when you order it. They don't put it together in front of you like they do when you order a cold sub. They have gluten free alternatives, but their sign says that those options are prepared in the same space as the other subs (so there is a possibility of cross contamination.) read more

Had a great experience here, got here around 2:30 PM on a Wednesday. Just me and my little family in here. Ordered our food and it came out really quick. Service was good. But when my wife asked to add tomatoes to her they didn't add it. But besides that I had a great time. I had the chipotle cheese steak, love the the chipotle mayo. I usually love this place!!! I have ordered through DoorDash here MANY MANY TIMES!! I have been somewhat frustrated in the past because I wanted to order a side of their cherry pepper relish with my DoorDash order and since it is not available on that menu I would have to call and ask for it but they never answer their phone! It always just rings and rings and rings! Honestly, I am not sure why they have a phone number available. Still, that was not enough to deter me... Today was different though. Who would've thought 2 of the workers there today could make all my previous experiences not matter. The rudeness of these people THREW ME! I have worked in food service before and I have always been told (and was under the impression everyone was trained this way) "when a customer walks in, that's what matters in that moment". I was at Jersey Mike's in Sandy today at 2:40ish this afternoon to get my daughter and I sandwiches. They don't wear name tags so I was unable to get names...The big guy was slicing meat when I walked in and barely looked at me for a couple minutes. Finally, I asked if I should order through him or the girl at the register and he said "Me, but I am making myself a sandwich right now". I chuckled to myself because it was unbelievable and I just said OK... I waited for another minute or 2, while he sliced HIMSELF more cheese, I simply asked is there someone else that can help me, that moment there was a girl walking by with a short buzz cut, And she turned to me and said "he has been here for a while and you haven't even been here for 10 minutes"! I said "You can't be serious! Is there someone else that can help me!??? She walked away... The big guy who was making his OWN sandwich THREW down his meat and cheese to the side then asked me "what I wanted" I told him the sandwiches of choice and bread etc. (while he was almost done slicing MY meat and cheese, only then did the rude "buzz cut girl" come back and say "what do you want?" I told her HE was finally helping me, she walked away after an eye roll) then HE threw all MY ingredients down on the cutting board and one ingredient after another I got THROWN ONTO THE BREAD. He said "is that it?" I so wish that I had my phone because I would have filmed all, then I said just "salt and pepper", The AMOUNT OF SALT AND PEPPER HE PUT ON WOULD MAKE ANYONE'S HEAD SPIN! I took a picture of it when I got home and will post below. The sheer rudeness is enough for me to travel to the next Jersey Mike's up 106 by Bangerter (They're all so sweet there) I think these people need to be retrained, I think that they should be disciplined for their actions. I am not calling for them to be fired but I do believe they need to understand that you should pay attention to the customers when they walk in, as well as treat them with respect. You should not make a customer feel like they are putting you out in some way. If you are hungry because you are working a double shift then get someone to take your place where orders are taken but you should most definitely still greet someone standing directly in front of you! I was craving a sub "Mike's Way" on Wednesday night so I dropped into this location around 7pm. I ordered a turkey and provolone mini--which is a good size for me, might be a bit small for some. The sandwich was made up quickly and exactly as I liked. Tasted great. The service overall was just subpar. The employees seemed to be going through the motions, a lot of chitchat among themselves and only a little with the patrons. I wasn't asked if I wanted my order to stay or to go and they must have assumed no woman was going to sit and eat alone but this I did with my "To Go" sandwich. Ha! Ask next time. Whoever started this chain should remove the Jersey from the name. This place is a joke. My "never lived outside of Utah" co-worker swore that this place had great sandwiches. I finally gave in and I tried the classic Italian. Even if I wasn't from Jersey, I'd be ashamed of this sandwich. The majority if the sandwich was that shitty, square, boiled ham that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. The rest of the cold cuts, one single slice each of prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese, we're sliced so pathetically thin that you could see through them. I even thought that they forgot some of the meats but they were so thin they were glued to each other. I can't even say if they tasted decent, though I doubt it, because they were shaved that fucking thin. Embarrassing. Last week I ordered two sandwiches from this location around 8pm. I got a phone call/ voicemail a couple minutes later saying that the store didn't have any bread so I was being refunded, and the person on the phone said it would be about 24 hours before it would show up in my account. I understand that it was the weekend and then Monday was a holiday so a refund may not have gone through or been processed until the next actual business day but I called yesterday to try to get an update the status and I checked periodically and still hadn't been refunded, as well as today and still nothing. I have tried calling the store and the phone just rings and rings and no one answers, both my sister and I both tried to call and were on the phone for over five minutes with no answer either time. I'm not sure if it's just not important for them to answer the phone, or if the employees are lazy or maybe it's just inconvenient for them to do their jobs, I don't know. I will say I love Jersey Mikes and have had pleasant experiences with other locations but this one is not one I would recommend as it seems like they don't care for their customers as much regardless of the circumstance. read more
