Delicious food and the strawberry's are delicious kind staff make the experience that much better

Overall a mediocre experience. The location is very clean, I will give it that. The staff/service was disorganized, there was one ladiy at the beginning taking orders and then telling staff behind her on the line individual items what to make, but they had no idea what items went together so they all Piled up at the cashier. Cashiers were guessing what items went with which customers with customers routinely reaching into the pile to say "I think thats mine". Etc. As for the food. The Mediterranean bowl was hardly Mediterranean. No Feta cheese, instead goat cheese. No kalamata olives, black olives. The tzatziki tasted like it was made with sour cream, not greek yogurt. Tasted like sour cream with chives. The flavors were just wrong. The grilled cheese brisket was not grilled. It was a regular sandwich made with brisket and microwave melted cheese. The bread was not grilled, warmed bread. It was also served with a lot of sauce, a mayo based sauced. The bread was good, it WAS a tasty sandwich, but there was nothing "grilled cheese" about it. The lobster bisque had good flavor but there was nothing "bisque" about it. I'd call it a lobster soup or stew. It was not well blended. It had lots of chunky vegetables particularly carrots and celery. The whole point of a bisque is it is a silky smooth dish. This was gritty, chunky, almost like a porridge. The flavor wasn't bad, had nice buttery notes, but the lobster was not even close to being the star. read more

The staff here is absolutely horrible and so rude. They seem like they just don't know what they're doing and have the biggest attitude. What sucks is the food here actually is pretty good but the service is just not worth coming back. I've seen multiple reviews talking about the service, obviously there is a problem and it need to be fixed. read more

Not sure what's been going on the last few times we have been here. But the employees have been so confused. Especially this last time. We spent nearly 20 mins in line as they were all completely lost with everyone's orders. It's like they have zero tracking system to know who ordered what. I watched them mess up two orders before us, remake several items, including some of ours. Literally 5 people behind the counter looking at each other like they had no idea what was going on. Eventually, a woman came out to try and straighten things out but all the damage was already done. To their credit, they did give us a couple extra strawberries, free drinks, and a slice of cake for the trouble. Which is what kept my updated review at three stars instead of one. Something needs to be done here in organize the orders that are coming through, because this was insane. read more

I have never written a review on YELP before (about a restaurant) but my experience at Cafe Zupas @ West Valley (SLC) was terrible. I travel a lot for work all over the country and eat out at restaurants a lot ... but I have never seen a restaurant this disorderly/unorganized/dirty. --My first and second soup choices = not available. --The employees don't seem to know what they are doing and seem confused about how to take orders and take/make orders.. --There were many people waiting in restaurant (10-15 minutes) for their orders. Orders were piling up... customers waiting to give their order that have been standing in line. The restaurant is filthy. The make-up station with the veggie/protein choices that are served from were not clean. There was trash on floor.. trash was piling up..dirty rags/rag bucket just sitting out and the condiment/silverware station was filthy. (See my pics if you don't believe me) And my soup wasn't even hot when I finally got it. Sorry I spent money here. For a "healthy" food option.. they need to do better. .......However, I will mention.....the Caesar/Avacado salad was delicious. That's the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. I hope a health inspector or a regional manager visits this location soon because it clearly needs help! read more

Went there with my family. Some of which have allergies. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude about answering questions about allergies. There was a man who was trying to help us but the woman decided we weren't worth serving and kept talking over him. She has no knowledge about the industry she is in. I ended up taking my family down the street to In and Out burger. The young woman behind the counter was very sensitive to our situation and knowledgeable about solutions to help us get fed. read more

I don't eat too many salads cuz I don't wanna eat too much of the horse and cows food but the soup here is good I like how it feels like an Utah restaurant inside and then you go outside and you're in Utah! That's so neat! Service the last time we went was good but I think the guy making one of the salads was annoyed cuz we wanted it to go and he was using a glass or plastic bowl at first and then just dumped everything in the cardboard container lol My bigg bacc had both the lobster bisque and the chicken enchilada soups. Delicious! Lobster bisque not gonna blow your socks off cuz we far from the ocean but it's a nice flavor and enchilada soup was good but why do I want chicken enchiladas and not inna soup? Came in around 8:30 and the entire front of the store was tore down fridges were pulled from the wall the salad bar was definitely not taken care of properly because all the lettuce was wilted and just too much for nobody to be here, they said sorry because they were extra busy and it was a transfer of 3 employees then we got our order half way taken, stood around for a few minutes until someone said that there was some bread issue, I'm always fine to wait just don't want to feel like bother 30 min remaining till close and nobody wants to help just send me away... over all got my food so thanks read more

It's been over a year since the last time I went to any Zupas. Price and Quality, quality mostly. It has always lacked. But I decided to try it again and it's as bad if not worse. There is no pride in the work they do. The picture and the actual product are not even closer. In fact it was so unpleasantly looking the only reason I ate it what I did of it was because I paid so much for it and my sweet boyfriend brought it to my work. Casual and clean. Always enjoy the fresh salad and unique soups at this chain. Food was great but the portions have been cut and are about half of what they used to be. Staff was cordial but not overly friendly. Had to ask them a couple of times to restock the silverware so we could get some to eat our meal. read more

First time, visiting family in the area. Was actually staying at the Marriot right by it. The mushroom soup was actually surprisingly good for a fast casual place, like I wish I had a bowl of it right now. I don't remember what else my wife and I bought, it was a vacation, but I remember us saying that we will DEFINITELY use them again. It was a delivery and they got everything right and it didn't come across as resentfully hurled into a bag, as some delivery seems to be with fast casual. First time here. Nice casual spot. You order at the counter like chipotle style. Great selection of different salads, bowls and soups. The bowls (not sure about the rest) come with a delicious piece of bread and a chocolate dipped strawberry for dessert! The ingredients were fresh and the service was good. read more

Literally the worst Zupas I've ever been to. Took them over 30 mins to make 1 order of a sandwich and a salad, when nobody else was in line. Terrible customer service. It's worth it to go to a different location. Avoid this location by any means necessary. read more

I'm not going to lie. I come here whenever MyFitnessPal tells me that I really should cut down on my calories and eat something healthy. Cafe Zupas is my go-to for cheap but good tasting salads and okay-soups. A half portion Nuts for Berries is my go to for just that little bit of fruits and crunch (from the almonds) in life and the warm mushroom bisque soup keeps the winter months away. Service is always unbelievable slow. It doesn't matter if I'm the only one in line, it'll take a solid 10-15 minutes from order to finally sitting down at a table. If you're here for a quick lunch, this isn't the place. read more

This review is specifically regarding online ordering. From the time we ordered to when we picked up food on a Tuesday at lunch, it took an hour and 10 minute, 40 minutes after the estimated pick up time, and enough time to have ordered and eaten in the restaurant. An absolute waste of time and the entirety of my lunch break just waiting to get a dang sandwich and premade soup with no explanation or apology. I was looking for a quick, kind of healthy meal when I landed in Utah and happened to find Zupas on my way to Moab. It was a quick service style where you make your pick of soup, salad or sandwich and you watch them prepare it. I ordered an avocado chicken chop salad and my boyfriend ordered the chipotle chicken salad. Both were different but delicious! The dressing has a lot of flavor and if you get it tossed in, they give you just the right amount. We honestly loved the salads as we don't have many places like Zupas in Florida. The environment wasn't anything to brag about and the service was just okay. The workers are really just trying to get everyone in and out so I can't really rate customer service much. You are given a roll and a chocolate covered strawberry for free which I though was a nice gesture. There were some baked goods to pick from but we decided to opt out on them. They looked yummy though! If you are looking for a quick healthy meal, I would definitely recommend checking them out as I will be back if I'm around again! read more

Decent! We went later at night, so service was fast. I did feel like the food was sitting there for a bit but it was still fresh. No one was in the restaurant, but the tables could have been a little cleaner. I love the idea of zupas, but I feel like it's a more expensive fast-food restaurant option than other soup and salad places. read more

I love Cafe Zupas because I don't go away regretting eating out. I don't over eat and I it doesn't leave me feeling gross like fast food, but the serving sizes are also big enough I don't go away feeling hungry. The food is fresh and has good flavor. I do wish they had more dairy free / gluten free options, now that I have allergies I feel like I have to order the same thing every time, so I go less often than I used to. read more

It was my first time at Cafe Zupas and it was great! Very spacious with lots of seating options. I love soup and salad and I was thrilled with so many choices. The gal behind the counter let me sample the soup and some of the chicken that went on the salad. That helped a lot in deciding what I wanted to order. Once I saw how big the bowl of soup was I decided to make that my meal since I knew adding a salad would be impossible for me to too! I got the Thai curry soup and it was hearty and delicious with just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be back. I also loved the chocolate covered strawberry, nice touch. read more

Burping all day from the soup. Line a mile long. I really don't like Utah. Everywhere you go it's long lines because Utah is full of morons who can't think outside the box. Came here with co-workers in a busy Tuesday afternoon. Ordered the sandwich and salad combo. They managed to get my sandwich prepared right away, but I stood around the counter for 8-10 minutes trying to get my salad. The sanitary practices at this location are DISGUSTING. You could make the sandwiches at home considering they use the round, store bought turkey you could find at a Walmart. They dropped sharpies, food containers, and all sorts of other things in the food bins that you are about to eat out of. They just fish them out and keep going. That's when I should've left. The absolute worst service, I have every recieveed in my life, Chip William the manager should be fired!!! I demand a phone call from the district manager. He made a derogatory comment to me as I was leaving, then denied it. I ordered curb side pick up. I followed the instructions and sat for 20 minutes while people came and went. My food was cold. I ordered a salad online and added cucumber and tomato to it. Each additional topping was .70cents but there was only 3 tiniest pieces of these extra toppings. I paid almost $15 for it but it barely had any toppings. Honestly for that price I could have got much better food elsewhere. Lesson learned I guess. read more
