I love Chik-fil-a. I get the 12 piece chicken nugget and fri and my daughter gets the kids meal. She gets to play in the play place after that is for kids age 5 and younger after so she's happy. For this location specifically, the women who works in the lobby is just a joy. I love her. This location is surprisingly lovely for a fast food joint. I love that they have a toddler area for small kids to play. My son enjoyed it, and it kept him occupied. I read about this feature on Yelp, and it made me want to check this place out. The employees were so friendly ! I was surprised at just how friendly everyone was. They welcomed my family from the moment we walked in the door. They bring your food to you on a tray. My hubby's breakfast biscuit was very flavorful and buttery. My chicken hash brown bowl was adequate. My son's chicken sandwich was juicy, hot and fresh. Like I said, my husband really enjoys the food here. Yup 1 star... I don't even care about the food. GETTING INTO the place is not only impossible but dangerous. Whoever designed this place needs to be checked in at a mental hospital. First thing you do is pull up on Hawthorne and the entire right lane for two blocks is dedicated to going to getting into the parking lot causing traffic. And Hawthorne is the best street to get into cause if you do 182nd prepare to get hit by a car. The left turning lane is always backed up for this place, if you actually want to take a left to get on Hawthorne, two bad you're now stuck in a pseudo drive thru. Turning left from 182nd really is dangerous cause you're stuck in ON COMING traffic as you're waiting for the drive thru to start moving. Oh but I ain't done yet cause now you have the parking lot to worry about. Where they designed the drive thru lane to literally be up against the parking spots on the right hand side. I've accidentally trapped so many people who are trying to pull out of their spot and no one in front or back is willing to move so I can give space to let someone out, you have to actually watch and see which people are going to leave so you preemptively leave room for them if their car is blocked by you. If you don't they're stuck waiting for you to inch forward to let them out. Every time I go I see people yelling and honking and flipping each other off cause the restaurant designed this place to get people into road rage. Funny thing is you swear this place is super busy and popular all the time. And it is pretty busy, but it's like they designed it to make it look busier than it actually is. I only give 1 stars to places I'll never eat at again. But it has nothing to do with the food this time! It's actually good, it's a Chic-fil-A... they got good food. But when your chicken comes with a side of road rage, car accidents or migraines. No thanks. 11/19/19 9:35am I'm in the drive thru lane the lane is split in two. As I switched to the 2nd lane im waiting and waiting until a different car pulls up on the other drive thru lane and they took his Order. So instead I pull forward and I mention to the lady that nobody took my order. Instead she's convincing me that there was a cone, I said no you have a cone in the middle of both lanes. That cone is not blocking no lane. She ask her manager if they have someone assign outside and she responds no. I order the nuggets and she tells me sorry you have to come inside and order that... wow after all that wait, and the discussion of the "supposedly" cone. Due to my being able to return to the location I tried to get a refund for my 2 missing items. The store's automated service instructed me to call the 866 number which I did the customer service rep offered to send me a coupon for 1 free item. When I stated that I did not want a free item as it was not a free but a refund she stated she would put in a request but it was up to the store's discretion if they wanted to refund me. I then called the store and according to the Store Manager, they have a policy that customers must return to the store to get a partial refund. The store manager then offered to give me credit for 2 free items. Again I explained that the items are not free as I paid for 2 items that I did not receive. If been to a lot of chic fil a but this one is BY FAR the slowest one I've ever been too. Currently sitting in the drive thru going on 30 minutes and haven't even placed my order. It's too late for me to try and get out of this disaster. The Burbank location doesn't have a drive through and the line goes out the door when they first opened yet I was in and out in 15 minutes. The Northridge location has people taking your order and it's pretty quick. This however is a completely nightmare. I most definitely won't be back to this location.
