If those are must-haves for you, bring them along. Service was good, especially considering it was essentially a two-person operation. Chef Brian was upfront that things were running a bit long due to earlier guests, which we appreciated. We took the opportunity to grab a drink nearby and came back, no issue at all. The food was outstanding. We ordered the fried chicken dinner with fried potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was phenomenal: crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. I initially assumed a pickle brine, but Chef Brian explained it's actually the herbs he uses that give it that depth. Whatever the method, it works. Excellent food, honest service, and a smaller, no-frills space. The spice was fairly tame, it adds a kick but doesn't overpower or leave your mouth on fire--which I'm okay with. The spice seemed more cayenne/paprika based though I couldn't pinpoint the seasonings. If you're a spice-head I'd suggest adding buffalo or honey sriracha sauce. The inside is very spacious, with lots of cutesy Asian decor and an 80s J-Pop soundtrack. Service was friendly and decently-timed as their food is (clearly) made-to-order.
