I just went here again twice within the last seven days. The first time I recommended it to my parents who were looking for a healthier option for lunch. The three of us went together on an early Monday afternoon. We were one of the few tables there and all three of us enjoyed our orders- enchiladas, curry bowl, and the ahi poke bowl. I have forgotten that my curry bowl did not come with meat sadly, but it was still really good. I went again with my dad for lunch on Wednesday and got the yakisoba noodles, while he got a steak entrée with fresh fruit and a kale salad. He really felt the kale salad paired well with the steak.. Again, the food was flavorful and came out quickly. However, on this particular day, (a Wednesday around 12:30 PM), it was absolutely packed in the restaurant.. only about two empty tables, and this is saying a lot because there are a lot of dining tables inside. We came to Wildflower for lunch with my cousins and got a few different things to try! I got the entree with chicken, mac and cheese, and roasted broccoli. The chicken was alright, nothing super special and probably pretty average, but the mac and cheese was definitely where it was at!! It was so good and honestly the best part of my meal. The roasted broccoli was good too, but I would 100% get the mac and cheese again. My cousin got the steak with mac and cheese and sweet potato fries, and the steak was cooked perfectly! The sweet potato fries were also really good, especially with the sauce that came with them. The sauce was SO good and honestly made the fries even better. My other cousin got the enchiladas and those were super delicious and really flavorful. I definitely think the enchiladas were one of the highlights of everything we ordered. The only thing I would say is that it is a little pricey for what you get, especially depending on what you order. But if you're coming for lunch, the steak with the mac and cheese and sweet potato fries is such a good combo and definitely worth trying. What a great find! I was in town for work and wanted a lighter, healthy dinner and stumbled upon Flower Child. The gal at the counter taking my order was super friendly and patient. I asked for recommendations and she strongly encouraged the Glow Bowl. I asked about protein options and another staff said the salmon was great and she wasn't wrong. The bowl was the perfect portion size which is greatly appreciated. The flavors were amazing and I would gladly eat this on repeat if I could. The food, service, and interior are all excellent. The first time I went here I did not like the broccoli side I got but after coming here again with a friend, my mind was changed. I got the steak entree with the smashed potato and the grilled asparagus white bean salad as my sides. The asparagus salad was so delicious, I could buy a whole bowl of just that! It's tossed in a yummy pesto sauce with bell pepper and squash and arugula. The steak was cooked perfectly and the smashed potato's are perfect. I didn't get any but they have some good looking dessert options and a decent amount of gluten free options as well. I love that it's an open seating concept and you can refill your water and drinks by the side. There's also an area that has extra napkins and to-go boxes if you need. It is very filling and feels like a good value for the price and portion. Depending on the flavor, I will pair this with their rotating kombucha on tap- yum! The dining room is cheerful and bright, the employees were friendly and talkative to us even while they were in prime lunch hours, and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. I tried the chicken yakisoba dish, and took a steak entree plus fruit and "smashed" gold potatoes home for dinner that same day. Their yakisoba dish had me eating up all the carrots I could find even after my noodles were long gone, and I was surprised at how well they cooked and seasoned my steak slices. I've seen a lot of positive reviews about their vegetarian and vegan options, which is great! I only want to add that they don't slack on their meat options, either. I usually love flower child, but unfortunately this experience with my meal was a little less than satisfactory. I got my usual order, plate with chicken, mac n cheese and a veggie. This chicken was close to room temp when I received it (thinking they were cooking the broccoli still while it was sitting on the plate) and had cartilage in it. The dining area will get very loud inside which is unpleasant at times. The service is simple really. Grab your drink, utensils, napkin and find your own table. Place your number on the table and a service person will bring your food to you directly. Came here for a birthday lunch for my wife. She ordered the Mother Earth bowl and I got the steak with broccoli and shishito peppers. I mentioned it was my wife's birthday and they gave us a free dessert. We choose the chocolate pudding. We love the abundance of seating and fun interior design. It was a bit too warm for us to sit outside but there's lots of outdoor seating as well. All the food was delicious, healthy and we left feeling energized. The chocolate pudding was very reminiscent of the pudding you grow up with but the addition of dried coconut and nuts add texture and salt. A great lunch! read more

While there were several highlights in these dishes, the salad was missing the avocado and the bowl had grains that were way too salty to eat (that may be somewhat personal preference but it was generally too salty). I've had the salmon and the tofu as my proteins, in various combinations with the kale salad, the mac & cheese, the broccoli, and the rice. The mac & cheese and kale salad are my favorite sides! (I wouldn't even guess that the mac & cheese is gluten free!) The Forbidden Rice bowl was decent, as well, but wasn't particularly memorable. My biggest recommendation has nothing to do with food, though, and everything to do with timing: don't go at noon. Go at 11:00, right when they open.
