Our go to family place when we need food fast. The kids enjoy the kids meals that come with fresh fruit, or applesauce Nd milk. My husband enjoys the spicy sandwich. I normally go with the number one (a battered chicken sandwich) with mayo and with fries and a lemonade. I've tried their grilled chicken but it's just not as good. The kids love the play area inside. It's for 3 year olds and up, as there is kind of a large slide. Service is very fast but the place can get packed quickly. I tried the ice cream, but it's not very good. I regretted not doing the brownie a la mode, which is delicious. I've also tried the cookies, which are ok. You can ask for them to heat the cookies up for you which makes them warm and gooey. read more

At Chick-fil-A the staff, despite being quite young, did an awesome job. The service was fast, friendly and competent. I ordered 4 original chicken sandwich meals and it was ready within five minutes. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and well kept. So glad to have a Chick-fil-A closer to work. The service was amazing, only thing better is their food! While this place only has chicken, they do chicken very well and in many ways. My favorite thing to order is the grilled nuggets with a medium fruit cup. What other fast food places have fruit cups with blueberries, strawberries, mandarin oranges and apples? I also loved the sit down area, they haven had a long table with benches for bigger groups. Everything was clean, shiny and new. I can't wait to bring more of my coworkers here! read more

Chicken, chicken and more chicken!!! I love their nuggets with the buffalo sauce. Prices are right on for a fast-food joint and probably a little heathier option for you then other fast-food choices. Well this was an amazing experience! Karla came to our table to talk with the boys to see if they needed anything. One wanted to trade in his toy for ice cream so she took him up to the front and let him get it with her. I am not a Yelper but I am Yelping this Chick-fil-A... Visiting from MN. I love me some Chick-fil-A, so I stoped for lunch. All the other locations in MN I've been to have been so stingy on their signature Chick-fil-A Sauce; you would think we were going through the Chick-fil-A Sauce depression.. Being "Minnesota nice" I never asked for more... It is what it is. So, when I got here I wasn't expecting anything different... Boy was I in for a treat. I ordered and she asked if I wanted any sauces and I told her the Chick-fil-A Sauce. SHE THEN ASKED ME HOW MANY PACKS I WANTED!!!! I could have cried or hugged her..Or both! Well shoot! I asked for three. Two for my meal and one to take home. (They really got to bottle the stuff...) Besides the godly flow of Chick-fil-A Sauce, the staff is very nice. Checking on everyone, offering to top off drinks and throw away your trash. It's like a well staffed sit down restaurant. The only downfall is, while I have been writing this, the manager or shift leader came to me and asked to take my tray. I told him "yes please! Thank you!" That's not the downfall.... The downfall is, is the packet of Chick-fil-A Sauce I had been harboring to bring home was on that tray and he just threw it away... I didn't realize until it was too late. R.I.P. read more

One of the worst Chick-fil-a In the country! The fact is the fries are often cold and the sandwiches are usually cold. Please report this place to the corporate offices in Georgia before we loose another place to eat (we have one of the worst restaurant failure rates in the country). Do waist your time telling the managers the food was bad as they wont change! The best thing the owners of this location could do is go down south and get a manager (and hopefully some cooks) and bring them back (There is a good reason there are no chains from Iowa outside of Iowa). read more

Order is always made right, and in a timely manner. Also they don't skimp on the sauce if you say you drink the stuff!

My family and I were big fans of Chick-Fil-A and were excited when this one opened earlier this month. Unfortunately, the food quality has not quite been up to par with the other Des Moines locations, although the service is great! So far we have visited this CFA location twice since it opened, and we have had lemonade with piles of seeds at the bottom of the cup, vastly different sizes of chicken on our chicken sandwiches (like one was probably 1.5x as big as a normal one, and the other didn't even fill up the surface area of the bun), and fries that were not quite cooked all the way through. This morning, my wife stopped by over her lunch hour for a salad, and they forgot the dressing. I know CFA prides itself on service, but I'd rather have to deal with a less respectful staff if it means I get better food quality. read more

My brother had ordered from the Chik-Fl-A delivery service an hour goes by no one has showed to up to our house.. the app says the food was delivered, we live in an apartment and my brother had given a DETAILED description on what floor what apartment # probably 10 sentences long. 2nd hour goes by we decide to drive to the place and they act like they don't know where the order went or who took it, well Andy from the app had to ordered and told the app that HE HAD DELIVERED the food.. we had to wait to get his ordered prepared but were refunded! read more

I work very close to this Chic-Fil-A. One day, I decided to finally have my first real Chic-Fil-A dining experience over lunch. I found the ordering area, dining area, and restrooms to be immaculately clean. The staff were extremely friendly and their clothes were clean and with an appropriate size/fit. I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich meal. The next day, I enjoyed Chic-Fil-A so much, I decided to go again! What really pleased me was that on my second visit, was my interaction with an employee. When I placed my order, I ordered an additional large waffle fry parcel. So my order was a Spicy Chicken meal + an additional waffle fry. When I swiped my debit card, it declined (eek!). I swiped it a second time, and it declined again! Instead of further inflaming an embarrassing situation, the man ringing up my order, WITH A SMILE, said, "No, worries, it's on the house." He didn't "remove" the large fry I ordered. He gave me everything I ordered with a genuine smile. I couldn't believe it! I called the restaurant back and asked, "Who is the employee with glasses?" and the employee replied, "That's the owner - David Grimm." Well, THANK YOU, David Grimm. I really appreciate the kind and forgiving gesture. I will be sure to frequent your restaurant, spread my embarrassing-but-positive customer experience with others, and I will bring cash next time! ;) read more

This place had terrible customer service. The lady packaging our foods didn't have any of the food with the correct name. When we tried to clarify, she was rude and refused to help us. Who would have ever expected such awesome service from a "fast food" restaurant? The manager carried my handicapped mother's tray to the table for us, and even came around to refill our drink. It was literally sit-down restaurant service, and honestly better service than some of the actual sit-down restaurants! The food was great, and the dining area and restrooms were nicely clean. They even provide cheerio cups for parents to give their little ones while you wait for your food. All in all I would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back! read more

This is the worst chick fil A location in the des moines area that I've been to. The food is not the same as the other restaurants. My breakfast burrito bowl had cold gross chicken mostly crumbs, no cheese, soggy potatoes and gross wet microwaved eggs. It was nothing like any of the other restaurants serve. Very disappointed I won't go back to this location. read more

This location has the lunch rush down to a science! Employees had iPads outside taking orders and payment, making the drive thru 2x faster! Cars moved through the line quickly, my order was correct, hot and fresh... they even added a mint and wet wipe to my bag. Super impressed. read more

Went through the drive thru yesterday. It was my first time at this location. I was so impressed! I was afraid I would hit the hit crowd and have a long wait but they had 2 ladies standing outside taking orders and the second I got up to the window my order was handed to me. The lady who took my order also asked my name so I was greeted by name by the person at the window. A nice touch. The day before I waited 20mins during the lunch rush for a burger elsewhere. It feels like a rare treat when you get courteous, prompt service. And of course the food was amazing as it always is no matter the location. Chick-fil-a is a bit pricey but it's worth every penny. read more
