Chick-fil-A - Poor Customer Service & Mishandled Order I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for Chick-fil-A, because the food and service are usually excellent. Unfortunately, this visit was not. We arrived around 8:45 PM. The restaurant was not busy--only a few parties dining. When I ordered, the cashier (David) appeared visibly annoyed from the start and rushed the entire interaction. He initially rang up only the two sandwiches, even though I ordered meals. When I noticed we didn't receive drinks, I went back to the counter and asked where they were. His response was, "You wanted meals?" followed by an eye roll and visible frustration when I said yes. I specifically asked if I would be charged the meal price, and he said yes. However, instead of correcting the original transaction, he rang the items up separately, which resulted in a higher total. This is clearly shown on the receipt. I also was not given a receipt initially, so I had to return again to request one. After sitting down, I noticed every other party in the restaurant was having their food delivered to their table. Ours never was. We were left sitting with the table sign until I eventually had to go back up to the counter to ask about it. One manager did apologize, which I appreciated. However, another manager later discussed my complaint openly on the floor, loud enough for me to hear, in a nearly empty restaurant. That was uncomfortable and unprofessional. To be clear: * The food tasted great, as always. * The issue was attitude, order accuracy, and follow-through. Chick-fil-A is known for hospitality and professionalism, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I asked them why they said you get charged for a full sandwich but you get a dollar off per sandwich but only showed $.60. I love Chik-fil-a, despite the company's political and religious affiliations. But when I last visited this location, they were playing Christian music over loudspeakers in the parking lot! It's one thing to be closed on Sunday's and fund anti gay laws but when you start displaying your religion to all customers, you've crossed the line for me. It's bad enough that states and pushing to put Bibles in the schools. Now businesses have to push their agenda too? As far as the food, I had to wait a LONG time for my order and two people in front of me were shorted on their orders. The counter person cheerfully fixed them but it was enough to demonstrate that this location is less concerned about getting the orders right, than other issues. I used to work across the street from the Burbank Chik-file-a and it was the only restaurant within walking distance. Plus, they never screwed up an order, they were prompt and didn't play church music in the parking lot. I ate there 3-4 times a week, but this is too much. During a recent visit to the Chick-fil-A location in Yucaipa, I experienced an incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and discriminatory encounter that completely ruined what was meant to be a peaceful lunch with my niece. My niece has Type 1 diabetes, and anyone familiar with the condition understands how critical it is for her to have access to appropriate food in a calm, stress-free environment. As such, I was focused entirely on making sure her experience was flawless, and I tried my best to shield her from what was happening--even as I myself was being harassed. I am also an active-duty military member, and I was home on leave--something that doesn't happen often. It was a rare moment I carved out to spend quality time with my family, especially my niece. Yet, that moment was completely overshadowed by the behavior of the manager and owner, Lisa Rodriguez. I had simply asked for a refill on a drink I had already purchased, when Ms. Rodriguez scrutinized the cup, questioned what beverage was in it previously, and made me feel like a suspect instead of a welcomed, paying guest. I was taken aback--especially since this is not a known or posted Chick-fil-A policy, which corporate later confirmed. When I returned to request a second refill, she again served the drink, but then asked for my name. When I politely asked why, she vaguely responded that she "needed to check something." Not only did she single me out, but I also observed that no other customers around me were asked for their names or questioned about their drinks. This was targeted, discriminatory behavior, plain and simple. What was even more upsetting is that I hadn't even had a chance to eat my whole meal. My appetite was gone, and the entire experience was ruined. Yet I allowed my niece to continue eating because her health depends on staying consistent with her food intake. My priority was her well-being, and I refused to let this incident disturb her experience--even though it had completely disturbed mine. It's tragic to say, but even while deployed overseas, I have never experienced the kind of demeaning treatment I faced that day in my own hometown. To be disrespected like this, by someone who owns and operates a business in my local community is beyond disappointing--it's shameful. Lisa Rodriguez should be absolutely ashamed of how she treated me. This situation should serve as a serious wake-up call regarding the professionalism and customer service practices at this location. If I--a military member, a paying customer, and a local resident--can be treated this way, I truly fear how others, including their employees, may be treated behind the scenes. This incident has been reported to Chick-fil-A corporate and the Better Business Bureau, and I will be informing others in the community. I do not wish to be contacted by this location for follow-up. The damage is done, and I will not be returning. Let this be a message: no one should be made to feel harassed or discriminated against when trying to enjoy a simple meal with family--especially not in their own hometown, in their own country. read more

Really amazing service! Lisa and Dave were at the entrance when we entered and greeted us. We came to get a bite to eat before the Yucaipa pumpkin patch. And the food came out quickly and was just to our liking. Even though we live closer to the Redlands location, we actually really like this one cause it feels more cleaner better. Yucaipa location is by far the cleanest location and they never mess up on our order. I use the mobile app to order ahead most times and it's always fresh and ready when I arrive. Occasionally you will see the owner in the store, and he's very friendly and greets customers when they walk in. I also love how this store is doing "operation Christmas child". It was yummy, but grossly over priced at more than $9......For less than that I will hit up Popeye's for a bigger piece of tasty chicken. Been going to this location for about 6-7 months now. The people as is customary with the franchise are always nice and they provide good dine-in service. However, in my last two drive-thru visits, my large fries containers have been given to me only half full, with one container less than half full. The fries containers have instead been stuffed with the chick-fill-a sauces by drive-thru employees. I order for a family of 5... so the cost adds up, especially since I order large fries. Aside from the cost, Imagine my kids disappointed faces and remarks each time they opened the bags of food. Instead of fries, they find their fries containers are filled with sauces. Their favorite thing from chick-fil-a is the waffle-cut potato fries. They like the fries so much, that this is what they always choose to eat first. Why are the sauces being stuffed into the fries containers in the first place? Perhaps there's new people working the drive-thru that need additional training? Or are these new orders from management? I will give this location one final drive-thru visit and hope this does not happen again. If it does, I will unfortunately need to find another chick-fil-a location. I've only seen this disappointing practice at this particular Yucaipa location. read more

Had to correct him 2x when he repeated it. We got to the window. Got the drink wrong and had to have them remake it. When I got home the drink still wasn't right. I wasn't able to completely check the order until I got home. They shorted me my $14 nuggets meal. I tried calling back at 9:05 and they were closed. Perfectly fine, as the night progresses we see or hear things (im not crazy) And hear things keep in mind this is a perfect horror movie setting . I suggested we split up so we could cover more ground. As we split up its pitch black, and i felt chills down my body and we started getting chased by a person in all black . The embarrassment that this establishment put me through today. I have never been treated with so much disrespect until today. I guess there is a first for everything. A simple request for extra pickles turned sideways. Asked for 3 side orders of extra pickles for 3 different people in my vehicle. They said no we put them all in one cup. I specifically asked for them to be separated. Lets make my job as a mother easier. If your a parent you know this will end up with the kids fighting over pickles. I don't frequent Chick-fil-A due to ethical reasons, but we were in need of food and one of my passengers asked for us to stop here for lunch and it was conveniently located right off the freeway. Upon entering, it seemed like the staff was tense due to a staffing issue, and many customers who were waiting in line were getting impatient. The girl who began taking orders was rather rude and tried to rush each customer through their order to move the line along. We placed our order quickly and asked for the restroom code, and the girl ignored us as she had already begun taking the next customer's order, even though we were still standing at the register. Another girl noticed what happened and gave us the code, but we couldn't believe the first girl's attitude and lack of customer service. The experience at the register left a poor impression on us. The food somewhat made up for it, but we expected more of the customer service since Chick-fil-A has a good reputation for it. I'll be recommending all my friends because the evening manager for Saturday is absolutely amazing.
