4/3- Dine in visit Restaurant is super clean and staff was super friendly and very sweet . Ordered a bunch of things We saw in social media !! Overall, food came out super quick and hot and everything was extremely flavorful . Chicken was nice and savory and hot and crispy and fresh and tender. All the items I ordered was amazing and I really liked the spicy cheese sauce drizzle over the fries and dipped in the chicken sandwich. All the HYPE on all social media platforms is spot on . This place is a must over Dave's got chicken straight up .
This place actually exceeded my expectations. I asked for a level above medium which ended up being "smoked". The spice was pretty tasty; spicy and with a lingering heat, but I was able to handle it. My son couldn't finish it though as it was too spicy for him. I also ordered a side of mac n cheese and it was pretty delicious I would say it's a must when I come back. The place was clean and they had music playing. Will be coming back
4.5* If Cane's actually seasoned their chicken and didn't rely on their sauce to do the heavy lifting it'd be Chubby's. If the portions were worth the price you paid for them then Dave's would be Chubby's. Unlike Dave's you don't taste the food for the rest of the day. Chubby's perfectly seasons the food, but not to the point where it stays with you in an unpleasant way. This was my first time here and I didn't expect the portions to be as big as they were. My oldest kid ordered the double sandwich combo because we both assumed they'd be slider sized sandwiches, but they were two full sized sandwiches. I ordered the Chubby fries and everything was balanced perfectly. I was able to taste every aspect of plate individually, but they also came together perfectly. The coleslaw didn't overpower the sauce or the pickles. The chicken, which I ordered Chubby's spice, was also spicy but not overbearing. I could've handled a bit more spice so next time I'll go up another level. The fried pickles were an unexpected surprise. The batter was stayed on the pickle and didn't fall apart on contact. The pickle flavor was still very much present. The sauces were all very good as well. This is just a personal preference but the ranch was a little too runny for a dipping sauce. If it were to go on a salad the consistency would be perfect. But as a dipping sauce I would have preferred it a bit thicker. The cheese sauce was a low key banger. I didn't order it but we got some put in our bag. The cheese was a perfect accompaniment for the fries. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean. The music choices of the day were an 80's fan dream come true. First time here, won't be the last.
Food was great, Spicy but good. Not salty. Love the combo of chicken and coleslaw. Service was fast and friendly. Not shy in giving their sauce. Place has the industrial look. Pretty clean, even the bathroom was clean.
The chicken sandwich at Hot level was just perfect,very juicy and crunchy. The service was fast and friendly. This place is a hidden Gem. I'm glad I was nearby and stumbled across this place. I'm definitely coming back and bringing friends. If you live in Fontana and you are going anywhere but here for your chicken sandwich. I need to put you up on game. This is your new place to come for a chicken sandwich or tenders. If you get hot level and add some honey too it . Come give this place your business. You will not be disappointed.
Crispy juicy chicken and the sauces were delicious. Very much a great alternative two places like Dave's hot chicken.
Honestly one of the best places to eat in the inland empire. Great prices, great service, and GREAT food. The chicken is always cooked to perfection and the variety of spice levels are excellent. I haven't ventured beyond "Chubby's heat" yet, which I believe is made using ghost peppers. But even then, it isn't a seating burn, it's very enjoyable. The searing is nice and spacious and the soda machine is always nice and crispy. Lol
At the top of the hot chicken game!! From the chicken sandwich to the tenders to the loaded fries. The house sauce is incredible and way different than anybody else's, they use more than just the hot seasoning, and the slaw is crazy good. Be careful if you plan on trying the Revenge Tender... that almost took me out LOL. Chubby's got the game on lock !

RUN, don't walk Their chicken is insanely juicy and they've got 8 spice levels -- from no heat to their spiciest level, Chubby's Revenge (not for the weak lol). Everything is house-made even the sauces -- you can really taste the difference. The nacho cheese had a little kick and the ranch was super fresh Mac & cheese was solid comfort food too I tried the mild spice and it was the PERFECT amount of heat for me Paired it with fries , a chicken sandwich , and tenders -- no misses. And the coleslaw on the chicken fries?? Chef's kiss Not overly sweet, so it balanced the heat from the tenders so well 10/10 would go back If you love juicy chicken + customizable spice levels, this spot is a must-try
My husband and I recently stopped into Chubby's Hot Chicken for the first time after seeing some videos on social media about them. Definitely a solid spot for some hot chicken in Fontana. We came in on a weekday around dinner and they were pretty empty. Staff were friendly and patient with our questions. Service overall was efficient and the wait time for our food was low since there weren't a lot of diners at the time of our visit. The establishment overall also seemed to be clean and well-maintained. We were pleased with our meal. Our order consisted of a Mild #1 (two sandwiches and fries) and a Lite #4 (two tenders and fries). The chicken was tasty on both combos: fried crispy and juicy on the inside. Definitely good size pieces in the sandwiches and tender combos. The only gripe we have is that the spice level seemed to be off. The tenders were ordered to be 'lite' spice, but there was honestly no difference between that spice level and the 'mild' spice level in the sandwiches. I have a pretty low tolerance for spicy food and can handle a little kick. I could barely finish the two tenders and had to give most of the second one to my husband. Pricing seemed to be competitive with other hot chicken spots in the area. Other than the spice discrepancy, we were pleased overall with our first experience at Chubby's Hot Chicken. We would definitely return again in the future if we found ourselves in the area.
I was skeptical of the high ratings but I like their chicken. The chicken tender was good. The burger was also good but the chicken becomes soggy with the cole slaw and pickles in it. Id come back for the chicken tender and the delicious fries with thousand island sauce. They were well seasoned. I was not into their mac & cheese as it tasted like Kraft cheese and it was too mushy. Something was missing. I tried their $2 dollar spicy cheese sauce and it tasted like spicy nacho cheese. It had a kick but I had no desire to finish this. The chicken was nice and hot when I ate it there. It was crispy outside, soft inside, and very spicy after taste. I had the Hot flavor and the Crying flavor. Crying made my nose cry. I will have to try one below a Hot next time for reference. Its all seasoning but at least it did not give me a tummy ache like Howling Rays. The soda drink helped cool down the spice.
ADDICTED TO THIS CHUBBY! One local chicken place in Fontana that beats the competition black, purple, and blue. Against my strict diet, I find myself coming here to get an amazing cheat meal. I've tried all of their flavors and they are all winners. My go to is the Chubby Fries. The service is always, and sincerely... ALWAYS friendly and courteous. I like the casual ambiance which is welcoming. Not to mention, there is a great liquor store next door to grab a drink after picking up a to-go order.

Really enjoyed my visit to Chubby's Hot Chicken! The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and had a lot of flavor even before getting into the different heat levels. The loaded fries were probably one of my favorites because they full of chicken, sauce, and toppings, and the fried mushrooms were a nice and crunchy. The restaurant itself is really spacious with plenty of seating. They have a pretty good-sized menu with a lot of sides other than just fries, which I liked. I came later in the evening and they were all out of Mac & cheese, which I was a little sad I didn't get to try but also shows that I need to go back because it is that good! Let's start off with the great customer service, the lady working in the front was helpful and very nice. They are fairly quick with the orders which was a plus. I order the mild heat for both the Sando and tender (this was the only complaint I had, the mild felt like very hot, so make sure you tell them to keep it low on the heat if you can't do spicy. Other than that the sandwich was fresh, juicy, the slaw worked perfectly (I would've preferred a bit more pickles), the tender was also very tasty, seasoned well but man spicyyyy!. The fries were as good as they get at these spots. Don't skip out on the sauce it just brings it all together. Would definitely give it a try if ever in the area. Also, before I left the lady came to clean up the table which I liked. read more

The service was amazing and the ambience was clean and professional. We ordered the number two, which came with a chicken sandwich and two chicken strips, and then the number four which was two chicken strips and just fries. Ok, I must admit that their heat is like no other. If you like hot then get their hot I had the hot, and smoked hot and it was a bit too hot for me and they came in with complementary low level heat, which was almost just like a regular chicken strip and that was amazing. I like hot food, but the other spices were just too much for me. read more

My husband and I have been seeing chubby's all over ig so we finally came and man it did not disappoint AT ALL. I could not decide if I wanted chubby's heat or cryin chubby, so Deanna recommended chubby's heat for more flavor. Then I picked up my food and she's so sweet, she threw in a cryin chubby tender for me to taste. Thankfully she did because I liked that more than chubby's heat cos it's spicier. So next time we stop by, I'll know exactly what to order! Oh and I finished the entire order of fried pickles too, they're that good. read more

We had an amazing first visit and were instantly impressed! We even got to meet the chef, and the entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and on point. My son is always chasing the best food hot spots around the San Bernardino area, so when we saw how busy it was on a Friday night, we knew we had to see what the hype was about. We walked in to a line and thought, okay... this place must be GOOD. Luckily, the line moved fast and ordering was smooth. And wow--totally worth it. The food absolutely delivered. It's just as good as Dave's Hot Chicken, if not better. The fried mushrooms were delicious, the fries were amazing, and the sandwiches were huge. My husband is a big guy, and one sandwich filled him up--with another left over to take home! Fair warning: it is spicy--but the flavor is so good it's worth every bite. The hot chicken here is fantastic! I visited this location for the first time today and tried the sandwich and a tender with the smoked chubby heat level (which was perfectly spicy for my taste), and it was delicious! The chicken is flavorful both on the inside and out, and the batter was perfectly crispy. The service here is also great! As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by the friendly cashier, and even as I was eating my meal, I was checked on by the staff if I needed anything else. The Mac and cheese was also delicious, it was packed full of flavor and perfectly cheesy! As someone who's been to Howlin' Rays in LA (iykyk) I would definitely recommend coming to Chubby's if you want some delicious hot chicken here in the IE. read more

This place was outstanding! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. The cashier, whose name on the receipt was Fatima, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu, making our first visit a great experience. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and courteous. This was our first time here, and it certainly won't be our last. I highly recommend stopping by! read more

Yes, this is worth the hype. The customer service is superb. The ladies in the front are sweet and greet you with a huge smile and insightful. We ordered 4 orders #1, 2 sandwiches w/fries, mac n cheese fried pickles, and their spicy cheese sauce. ALL delicious, the food came out hot, I recommend all of it. I preferred dunking my fries in the cheese sauce more than the pickles, but if you're a fried pickles person, you'll love this combo. The chicken is definitely juicy, tender and the spices are yum, I also agree this place will give Dave's some competition. The ambiance was great, good not too loud music, the place is very colorful and open, nice roomy tables for all the food. Loved this place, no complaints. I'll be back! Oh and free STICKERS!! One of the best I've tried! Food was delicious: we ordered their chicken tenders, fries, chicken sandwich and their chubbys fries. The chicken is so juicy, fries were made to perfection and their coleslaw and Mac n cheese were delicious! Customer service was great, super sweet and quick. Great place. Chicken tenders were huge, moist and juicy. The sauce was really good, nice toasted bun, coleslaw was a little on the meh side. Kind of just made the bun wet. I'd get the sandwich without it next time. Mac and cheese was super yummy. Fries had nice seasoning on them. Staff was friendly and patient with us as this was our first time there. Had to try I think is one of the last chicken spots I haven't reviewed in the IE. Got me the usual I get at these spots. 2 sliders with some fries. The buns they use are like regular hamburger buns which aren't the most scrumptious, the chicken is pretty good. Their fries are your typical hot chicken meal fries, crinkle cut. Their sauce is pretty good as well, doesn't beat its competitors though. Sliders: 7.7 Fries: 7.3 Sauce: 7.5 read more

Service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and kept checking up on us. Chicken and fries were well seasoned and fresh. Good portions for the price and the flavor of the food is worth the visit. Would definitely recommend! Plenty of seating options also if you come with a larger group read more
