    Crispy chicken skin
    Della S.

The prices here are great for the portion of food you get. I tried the crispy chicken skin ($6.95) and the gai yang (grilled chicken rice, $12.95). My partner got the gai zaab (spicy crispy chicken rice, $13.95). The fried chicken skin was bubbly and crispy with chewy parts here and there, in the best way possible. They use a seasoning powder that has a chili lime flavor. I couldn't eat too much though, because eventually the oiliness of the chicken started to feel heavy and greasy. I thought the gai yang was okay. The spicy tamarind sauce was delicious and was what drew me to this dish in the first place, but the chicken itself was underseasoned. I got to try some of the gai zaab which was a lot better. The pieces of red onion added a lot of flavor and freshness to the chicken! For the price, I'd totally eat here again. I would not get the gai yang though.

Chicken duo, with crispy pork and poached chicken over ginger rice. Came with daikon soup.

Chicken + Co has a somewhat limited menu, but all the options have combinations that offer something for everyone. The pricing is extremely affordable, so if you are looking for a night out that won't break the bank, this is the place to go. For example, the thai iced tea is only $3.50 here... everywhere else it's at least $5 (and the size/taste is just as good as other local thai spots). My husband and I like to get an appetizer and split the chicken duo, which comes with a generous portion of rice. It's delicious... I love all the meat options, I've tried them all. If you do just the poached chicken option with the rice and veggies, it's a super healthy meal! I think we'll go here regularly given the price and quality of the food.

Chicken and Co. - 2261 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140 We went all out on Thai food and drinks at Chicken and Co. and had quite the feast! Drinks Thai Iced Tea - A classic! Sweet, creamy, and comforting. A must-have. Butterfly Pea Milk - Gorgeous drink! Loved the color-changing magic, but my heart belongs to Thai tea. Thai Iced Coffee - Smooth, rich, and perfectly sweetened. A great pick-me-up! Verdict: Drinks were top-tier! 9/10 Food Tom Yum Noodle Soup with Crispy Chicken ($13.95) Spicy, tangy, and super filling! The crispy chicken paired well with the flavorful broth. 8/10 Zaab Wings ($8.95) Perfectly seasoned and even better with the sweet chili sauce! A must-try. 9/10 Crispy Chicken Skin ($6.95) Extra crispy, well-seasoned, and great for snacking. 8/10 Truffle Fries ($7.95) Crispy but needed more truffle flavor. A little underwhelming. 6/10 Daikon Soup Simple, light, and comforting. 8/10 Gai Tod (Crispy Chicken Rice) & Moo Tod (Crispy Pork Belly Rice) The crispy chicken over ginger rice was the winner for me! The pork belly was good but not a fan of the tamarind sauce. 8/10 Dessert Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango & Coconut Ice Cream A Thai classic done right--creamy, sweet, and refreshing. 9/10 Final Thoughts Food: 8/10 Affordability: 8/10 (Great portions for the price!) Ambiance: 7/10 (Cute spot, small seating, but they were playing the new Lady Gaga album! ) Verdict: If you're craving crispy chicken, Thai flavors, and refreshing drinks, Chicken and Co. is a solid pick! Grab a feast and enjoy it while watching White Lotus!

Chicken Duo Combo (Poached & Crispy)

I stopped by Chicken & Co on a Saturday for lunch and was able to get seated immediately. I ordered the Chicken Duo Combo set and went with the poached and crispy chicken. I also ordered the Thai Iced Tea, which was pretty good for the price. It was perfectly sweetened and more on the creamy side, but I enjoyed it overall. I was given the choice between white or dark meat for the poached chicken and I ended up going with the dark. The poached chicken does not have much flavor on its own, but the sauce that comes with it was really good. The crispy chicken was SUPER crispy. You can hear the crunch on the skin which was perfect. The sauce that came with the crispy chicken did not have as much flavor though. Both versions of chicken were not dry at all and tasted moist. The rice had a slight ginger taste, but it is not too prominent. I also found that there was too much rice in proportion to the meat. I had to drown the rice in sauce to feel like finishing it off. The set came with this daikon soup as well which was really good. I wish there were more daikon pieces in it though, but it was flavorful and yummy. Overall, this meal left me feeling full and satisfied. Service was attentive as she constantly came to fill up our water. I would come back to try their appetizers and get the Thai Iced tea again!

5/5 restaurant: I would highly recommend going here. Our service was exceptional, and we were very taken care of. It feels cozy inside with music playing. Everything we ordered lived up to its expectations. Our favorite was definitely the Zaab wings though because the dry seasoning was limey yet flavorful. The mango sticky rice was great as well. Our mango was very ripe with coconut creamy rice. All prices were very reasonable. I would be coming back!

Yum! Yum! Fried chicken! My bf and I were excited to try this new chicken restaurant so we went for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant is really cute and cozy. It has a few tables for small groups and it was a busy Sunday night but we luckily found a table. The menu is not that big and I really like the pictures of the dishes. They have a good variety of appetizers and a couple of main dishes. We ordered some spring rolls to start and I went with the chicken noodle soup and my bf got their fried chicken plate over rice. The rolls were crunchy and hot and tasted good. I was excited about my noodle chicken soup. The chicken broth was packed with flavor and the chicken pieces were very juicy and tender. I really liked the boc choy in the dish and the noodles were cooked perfectly! I was surprised how fast I finished my plate! My bf's fried chicken was also very yummy. He was nice enough to share his dish! At the end of our meals we decided to get dessert and got mango sticky rice and butterfly sugar tea. Both were very good. I liked the colors of my butterfly tea, I had fun mixing the colors. We will definitely be back!

The pork was crispy and flavorful. The poached chicken is soft but not seasoned. It does come with a side of ginger sauce. The grilled chicken was well-marinated. My favorite part was the ginger rice. Pretty standard Thai chicken and rice. The staff was nice and the service was quick. My friends and I (party of 6) made a reservation for a Wednesday dinner. The place is a bit small with about 8 tables, so not so great for large groups.

Authentic thai chicken rice place in Davis Square. We went during their soft opening on a weekday evening and end up having to wait around 15 minutes. It is a small cozy place with about seven tables. I like how they pay attention to details on their branding - like the plates. Curry puffs were great but could be better. Chicken rice both grilled and crispy were just as expected. A place to go if you want chicken rice with no surprises. A tiny complain is that their portion might be a bit smaller and the flavor could be stronger. - 7/10

Popped in on a Fri night to try their Thai chicken rice during their soft opening. The space is very clean, new, and cozy with limited tables - it's a little tight, but they make it work! Service is fast, friendly, and attentive. I needed some caffeine, so I ordered a Thai Iced Coffee and it was a bit too sweet from sweetened condensed milk, but I mostly enjoyed it with the intensity of the thai coffee. We split the duck wings, which were piping hot. I don't think I need to get them again, but they had a great crunch, I'm glad we tried them. I had the chicken duo with the grilled and crispy chicken for my main, which was a big portion for a very reasonable price. I liked the crispy chicken more of the two, and asked for the ginger sauce that comes with the classic chicken because the tamarind sauce was a touch too fish sauce forward for me and my partner has fish allergies. The ginger rice was flavorful and abundant, and the chicken soup with daikon was nice and chickeny. My partner really liked the crispy pork. I was too full to try the mango sticky rice, so I'll have to try it another time when I get a khao man gai craving and also check out the classic poached chicken.

Simple but so delicious! My husband and I came here on a Sunday night around 7pm and were seated immediately. The restaurant is small and seating is limited so I see how that can be a problem during busier times. We both got the Gai Tod (Crispy chicken rice) and inhaled it. The chicken was very crispy and paired well with with the sweet chili sauce. The daikon soup was also very umami and flavorful. Very delicious and can't wait to come back.

Newly opened in Cambridge, Chicken & Co is a cozy spot that offers delicious chicken and rice dishes. LOCATION: Located on Mass Ave in Cambridge, Chicken & Co, is a very small spot with minimal seating. I recommend getting takeout but if you prefer dining in, be prepared to wait during peak times! FOOD: As the name suggests, the menu is limited to mainly chicken dishes! Poached, crispy or grilled are your chicken choices and each rice dish comes with sauces to accompany the chicken. I tried all three different styles and prefer the poached, grilled and crispy - in that order! DRINKS: The Thai tea is classic and absolutely a must! The butterfly pea drink looks pretty so will definitely have to try it out next time! SERVICE: Though busy when we visited, the staff was still very kind and food came out fairly quick!

Best Thai street food! -- I recommend the combo meal with crispy and broiled chicken to get the best of both worlds. It might be pricey for what it is, but honestly, given that we live in the city and the food is served in a restaurant, the price justifies.

Great place for Thai Chicken Rice! I definitely recommend getting the Chicken Duo and the Crispy Pork Belly! Both were still crispy even after the drive back home. The flavors balanced each other perfectly. The rice was nicely seasoned and the cucumber added a nice refreshing crunch. The chicken came with a sweet chili sauce and a spicy tamarind sauce. Both very good The spring rolls were crispy, but flavor was similar to other spring rolls I have had. The Butterfly Pea Milk surprised me as I do not typically enjoy Butterfly Pea drinks. I ordered it since the colors looked nice together. I am not sure what is in the pink syrup, but when mixed together, it tastes pretty good. It is definitely sweet and has a slight cotton candy flavor. I am glad I tried it. I will definitely be back! Staff here was very nice as well!

I've gotten lucky with walking in but they have enough seating for one to generally be able to snag a table even around dinner time. During the summer, they have lovely outdoor seating! I've gotten take out here once and the food holds up well. Now onto the food... - drunken noodles: occasionally these are very spicy and occasionally they are appropriately spicy. They are always so excellent and the noodles are bouncy and chewy! I usually get this with pork. - pad see ew: this is my favorite Thai noodle dish and it's no exception here. Not as spicy as the drunken noodles but just a massive portion of filling noodles, chicken/tofu, and Chinese broccoli. There's something about the way they do the sauce here that is just so savory and delicious. It feels less greasy than it usually does at other Thai places, which I really like - pad mee korat: my friend always get this and raves about it. I felt like it was worth sharing that this comes in a huge plate and was finished completely. They have a lot of variety in dishes!!

Flavor-wise, this version was lighter and more lime-forward than the sweeter, dark soy profile I'm used to. It was also very liquidy, which didn't mesh well with the noodle type. The Pad Thai was fine overall. They use a different kind of noodle than I've eaten before, which was fun and unique. The flavor was solid, though not especially memorable. Portion sizes were very generous, especially for Boston. That said, at $17 per dish I didn't feel the quality quite matched the price, even with the large portions. Overall, it's not gonna be my go-to spot, but I'd be open to ordering again if a friend really wanted to.

The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived, but we were seated right away at the last available table. The space felt both lively and cozy, perfect for a date night. We started with the Larb Pork Dumplings, which were beautifully presented with chili lime mayo, fresh herbs, and crispy greens. The one and only bone I have to pick with Black Ruby is that the service, while very attentive, is almost TOO fast. I get that they want to turn tables over efficiently, but the last couple of times I've come, I kind of felt like they were rushing me out. I came here to catch up with a couple friends and our food came almost instantly, before our drinks, and the waitress seemed eager to keep us moving. I think our entire meal was less than 50 minutes.
