We spend a lot of money here. We came and got food they missed some food. We called and asked for Manager. The Manager is extremely rude. Hung up on us multiple times, told my dad he needs a doctor because he ordered food wrong. She is extremely unprofessional. We will no longer be eating here. Find a new Manager. I ordered fish and it was put into a styrofoam container, instead of the paper ones in the past. The container melted onto another styrofoam container of fries, which also should have been put in a paper container, because they were soggy. read more

A very small place that has a huge appetite punch! Only on remaining Kiel's Chicken Coop in Battle Creek. Like many places during COVID, they were pretty affected in 2020. And inflation has of course driven up their prices a bit. That said, they've held prices better than most. They've struggled with having enough staff, yet they've managed to keep their service time and food quality close to excellent. Their food continues to be hot, fresh and tasty. We are NEVER unhappy with the food we get. Love their fried fare, as their batter is light and crispy, fries are excellent, other breaded items not soggy, hot veggies very good, cold items cold. When I think about it, I'm really quite amazed how they manage to serve so well! For our usual two orders, order menu to food at the pay/delivery window is typically about 8 minutes. All drive-thru ordering, the time varies based on business. I always bring along something to pass the time, as large or special orders in the line ahead may add to the delay. Staff may be a bit harried from busyness, or a very testy customer, but a smile is always returned and I've never been treated rudely. I've only had two mistakes made in well over 20 years, and both were corrected politely with apologies. I have been going to this small business since 2022. On most days you wait for 15 mins. Or more to be served in the drive through. I expect this time limit after 5 pm. What I don't expect is to be treated rudly where I am spending my money below is what happened I. 2 times the store did not give me the side order, I paid for. 2. Refused to give me the owner name so I could correct and report the rudness. 3. Made sidebar rude statement, and comments to me on the phone 4. Did not know how to count correct change back. My order was nine dollars, I gave the cashier twenty dollars, she returned to me one dollar, and when I correct her to give me eleven dollars back the cashier had a bad attiude because I caught her mistake. She never apologize for making the mistake. She appeared to be upset because I was not going to allow her to steal my ten dollars. I will be contacting the store owner! Small business are required to give you owner name. This rule person refused to do so. Therefore, I will ask my Uncle who is a retired judge to get it for me!! They were rule, and disrepectful to the wrong person!! read more

Heard so many good things about this place, but also heard it takes a long time to get your food. Had an hour to kill, so I pulled in behind a handful of other cars and settled in. Took me a solid 30 minutes just to place my order, and another 5-10 minutes to get to the window to pick up my order. Cashier was super friendly, and food very reasonably priced. Got a basket with both chicken and fish and fries. Food was hot and crispy - fries well seasoned. I was most excited for the fish, and I was not disappointed. Batter was super crispy and fish was tender and delicious! Chicken was good, too, but didn't totally blow me away - still better than KFC, though. Will certainly be back! read more

I've been a regular customer for years in the chicken coop chain. Today I ordered 3 meals totalling $32.00 I went home realized I was missing a small macaroni salad. So I called them to make the report only to be told they put it in the bag. So after explaining to two different people on the phone I was missing a "small" macaroni salad I asked could I come and get what I payed for and they said yea very sarcastically. Once I got there I was greeted at the door with attitude like I really had to lie about a small macaroni salad... So I called and asked to speak with the manager they put a person on the phone and I asked for his name and he said it didn't matter what his name was... He also told me if I had a problem to just go somewhere else and eat really!!! You cant get anymore petty than that chicken coop and I'll never return again. read more
