We were kind of skeptical about a place that serves pizza, wings, shrimp, cod, catfish, sandwiches etc. we wanted to try something different so we ordered a pizza. I placed an order at 5pm on a Sunday night of a large pizza and boneless wings. They said it would take an hour to an hour and a half, which should have been a red flag. An hour and forty five minutes later, I called to see if the driver is on the way. I was told the order would be on its way in 15-20 minutes. Never in my 38 years on earth has pizza taken that long; not even a Chicago deep dish takes that long. After a total wait of 2.5 hours, I called back and canceled the order. All I got was a "Sorry". I was in Battle Creek on a work trip and saw a Happy's Pizza delivery driver with someone else's order. The food smelled good, so I placed an order of my own: fried chicken, ribs, baked mac n cheese, and chocolate cake. It was only Wednesday and had been a long week already. Food arrived an hour later hot and fresh, and all of it was tasty. A couple minor changes would have made it perfect -- both the ribs and the Mac had too much sauce. The flavors were good, but I didn't care for the abundance of bbq and cheese sauce drowning out the other flavors and textures. Always had good food here, pizza is good, but BC has better choices like Steve's or Sir Pizza. Weirdly, though, my favorite thing here is the BBQ rib tips! They are awesome, and sauce is great! Best pizza next to Dominos. They are friendly and always happy to help with questions. Every time I have gone in I haven't had any negativity. The last time I went in I was short on cash but they helped me out so much. I appreciate how they went above and beyond to help make sure I had a great experience. Happy`s? I'm not to happy. Probably the worst Pizza I have ever had. I ordered an 8 corner everything. The crust was baked and then flipped over to add toppings. The toppings looked liked someone throw them on. Bite into the first piece, the crust was extremely soggy in the center (not doughy), almost like they put all the sauce very center. Poor customer service.. Ordered a pizza for carry out, pizza was ready when I arrived at the store, but I didn't noticed the order was wrong until after I arrived at work. I called the store to notify them of the issue, offered to make a new pizza, but the store was closing in 20 minutes and I was unable to leave work to pick up a new pizza. Explained that to the store employee. I then asked her if I would be able to pick one up tomorrow, she stated that was not allowed due to policy and only offered 10% off next order. We will NEVER order from a happys pizza again. We live in grand rapids and were ordering pizza for my husband's kids in battle creek. When I originally called they had said they couldn't take a credit card over the phone. But when i spoke with the kids mom she said they take here all the time so I called back to double check. I was clear with the second person I spoke with that someone had already told me they could not take my card over the phone but I k we someone that claimed they have done it before. So I wasn't sure if maybe who I spoke with was new and just didn't know. So then he says he can and takes my card information and then says oh my manager said I can't so I voided it. But it still took the money off my card and it will take a few days for it to be back. That was almost all the money on my card so I didn't have enough to order from another place so then when I asked to speak with the manager he starts yelling at me and telling me it was all my fault because I should have listened in the first place and this wouldn't have happened. He then goes on to say I'm just a criminal running a scam. He was very rude and unprofessional. Having worked in customer service my whole adult life never would I speak to a customer like that! This is a great pizza place. They custom did a macaroni pizza for us. It was the greatest pizza I've ever had. The other pizza we got was also great. I can't give this Happy's in Battle Creek any stars at all. This is only the second time I've ordered a delivery order from them, but they are 0 for 2. There is no such thing as a 60 minute delivery time window. It's more like 90-120 minutes. Don't waste your time calling to even inquire. I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude, told me to hang on it was coming, then abruptly hung up the phone. This is the last time I will EVER order from this restaurant. Their lack of customer service has turned me completely off to even giving them another chance. I worked in fast food for 18 years and would never even think about being rude to a customer. When the pizza arrived after a total of 90 minutes it was stone cold. I called again only to be told that there was nothing that would be done to compensate for our wait and the cold pizza. By 4:18 I had not yet received my pizza. I called the store and the man who answered told me it would " just be another second." I am very dissatisfied. I placed an online order at 9:15pm. I chose the pick 2 for $8.99 each. I was called by the location at 9:45pm by the Manager at the site telling me that the chicken tenders I ordered online were no longer part of the pick 2 deal. First of all that's not my problem that something on the website is no longer available the way it is advertised. Second of all it had already been a half hour and the order was not even started. The difference in the price for the items I ordered vs the special that was advertised was only $2, and the Manager couldn't do anything about it? Then I called back 3 times and was placed on hold for a total of about 20 minutes just so I could tell them I wanted it delivered now. Originally I was going to pick it up but waiting so long for the order to even be dropped was ridiculous. Then I was told that it was going to be another 45 minutes to an hour until it was delivered. That put my total wait time for my food at 2 hours. This is not acceptable. I have not ordered from Happy's Pizza in almost 6 years because of this same issue and needless to say this will be my last time. You just lost a customer for life. I will be spreading the word around the internet and leaving reviews so others don't get treated like I did and get to the point of frustration to get online and leave a comment like this. Someone needs to really take a look at whats going on at this location and make the necessary changes to the Management staff to better the business if they want to succeed here in Battle Creek. read more

Ordered two medium pizzas, with purchase price near 30 dollars. When they arrived we noticed one was mostly crust and hardly any toppings. When I called to make a complaint I was told their was no need to be rude( I said " I was not paying that much for a crust pizza") there was no foul language used what so ever. I was just stating the reason for the complaint. When the delivery driver arrived (same one) I tipped her again. It's not her fault that the pizza was way below sub par. I asked her if their was an owner or manager that I could speak to about the person that I spoke to on the phone who was the actual rude person. I was told he was the owner manager. Needless to say I will never order again from this establishment. When a customer is making a legit complaint and not swearing, just pointing out the mistake.
