We were in town visiting for an event and I always look for good BBQ when I travel. I noticed TNT was highly recommended so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived we had to look closely as it it kind of hard to see. The building is pretty worn out but not a big deal as we were there for the food. When you walk in you notice another business in the front, so you walk past it towards the back where you find a counter with the two owners waiting to assist. The two owners were very friendly and asked a lot of questions about where we were from and what we were in town from. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, rib tips, and Mac and cheese. We waiting in chairs in the waiting area. It was clear that they had a steady flow of local customers which is a good sign. After about a 20 minute wait our food came out packed up to go as they do not have seating. Also we noticed a lot of flys in this area. The wood smokers are out front by the road and grills are in the back. When we got to our hotel the food was hot and it was a lot of food. The brisket was very flavorful with a solid wood smoke flavor. Our guests visiting from England said the pulled pork and rib tips was the best food they had eaten in the couple weeks they had been visiting. At the owners recommendation we also tried the banana pudding and it was fantastic. So overall you have to ignore the restaurant itself and focus on the food which was really really good and the owners were engaging and friendly. I highly recommend giving TNT a shot. read more

So this BBQ in Kalamazoo (the town and the food genre rhyme - see, it was meant to be - hmm, I wonder if Katmandu has good BBQ) was one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the best value-for-money meal I've ever had, with notable memorable service as well. Firstly, they recommended the rib tips with green beans - both among the most delicious things I've ever eaten. At only $5 for a mini, which was enough food to feed a family, I just can't. Wow. I went marching right back in for a pulled pork sandwich, and with that they gave me some spectacular cabbage - even better than the green beans - and a side of spaghetti which was wonderful, if a little sweet (like my ex). Even if you're a vegetarian, the sides are worth driving hours for. The sandwich had coleslaw (sort of like sod's law), and enough pulled pork to feed an army (not that I would want to feed an army, I'm a pacifist). It was perfection. They slipped me some yumsy sweet cornbread and the most spectacular banana pudding I've ever eaten. Food-wise that is. In general, your boyfriend's Banana Pudding is incomparable. I don't know how they do it, but these people cook better than pretty much anyone. Maybe because Marvin Berry works here (Chuck's cousin), and he hired someone that really cooks. The tragedy is that most will never know what perfect BBQ is, because they skip places like this, since it's in Kalamazoo, in a beauty mart. You skip this, you skip life itself. And no I've NEVER exaggerated in my LIFE. They seemed to figure out without me saying a word (I never do) that I write reviews, because they kept whispering about what I need to eat, in order to give them 5 Stars. I'm pretty sure they didn't know me from Yelp - perhaps they saw me taking pictures of a hot dog in the parking lot (from Ray Ray's, also amazing, and the other K-zoo place you must try). Anyway, that might be why they gave me half their store for cheap prices, but even then, the given to other patrons, masses. Finding the location of TnT - Lil Brothers has been a recent challenge. On Thanksgiving Eve '17 there was a fire in the building on the corner of Burdick & Cork, and the Barbeque dropped momentarily off the radar. We were saddened because the fire was mere months after our lucky discovery of this site, and we thought the Barbeque was gone. Then we stumbled onto it again. The Barbeque set up shop at 806 B Riverview in either late '17 or early '18; but its time there was short-lived. The store front now houses the Burger Bros. (But the business website - lilbrothers.com - still gives 806 Riverview as its address.) TnT - Lil Brothers then moved to the other side of the street in the 700 block of Riverview, setting up a trailer and grills in a parking area north of the American Legion 118 Vets Cafe (at 701 Riverview). And since the Barbeque's move from the Burdick & Cork site, we have been less than happy with the service and product. My first time there and being an out of towner, when you go somewhere for the first time you want the food to hit your soul & get great customer service. It is near the I94 W & E Exits. Customer service was great friendly interaction, atmosphere you can relax in big enough space to either stand or sit, welcoming to introverts or extroverts. There is space for a small gathering if you desire to sit in with about 15-20 or more of your friends. The food...... OMG, the portions didn't disappoint. We ordered The Bubba with baked beans, The Large (2) Smalls all with fries, and (2) polish. The meat was meaty and fall off the bone tender, wasn't over saucy just the right amount. Having too much sauce as you know can take away the enjoyment and when the sauce hit those fries. Loved it. Baked beans were smoky sweet & seasoned. The polish, my son wouldn't let me near it but he is autistic and as you know they can be finicky. He had no problem and was looking for more. My daughter and other son watches a ton of review shows and in their "Keith Lee voice, we got it, we tried it, that food hits"! 10/10. read more

This is the Bbq that I have been searching for my last two years living in Kalamazoo. Rib tips were my favorite, smoky and meaty. Pulled pork was good, it was chopped, I prefer it shredded, We're still friends though. The brisket was solid, not a lot of fat, good flavor, chicken leg quarter was very good, very flavorful, very tender. Side dishes - the green beans are mixed in with potatoes- phenomenal, the candied yams were next level, super sweet, you could've called them a dessert and would have been happy with it. They were out of one of the most amazing cakes I've ever looked at, the people before me bought last of it, I will get there earlier next time. The meat was amazing but the sides...not so much! Avoid the mac and cheese! It was runny, separating, and didn't have any flavoring to it.
