The past two weekends, my server has been Nalyssa, and both experiences were extremely disappointing. Two weeks ago, she was at the computer system openly talking badly about a coworker--loud enough for my entire family to hear. It made all of us uncomfortable. When she brought our food and it was incorrect, she became defensive instead of willing to fix the issue. She went right back to the computer and started talking badly about my family as well. That was my breaking point. I wanted to speak to a manager, but my family didn't want to be embarrassed. This past weekend, she was our server again, and the behavior continued. She seemed irritated from the moment she approached our table. I overheard her complaining about a bad tip she received, which made me uncomfortable because I consider myself a good tipper, but her comments made me second guess everything. She also used multiple cuss words nearby, which is unacceptable, especially with my young daughter sitting right there. My daughter has been begging to work as a host at Red Robin someday, but after witnessing this behavior, I can't in good conscience encourage her to work in an environment where this is allowed. I'm honestly shocked that Red Robin would allow a server to behave this way. She lacks basic respect and professionalism. We even spoke to a table near us, and they felt the same discomfort. I didn't see any managers available to report this to, but this was the final straw. I truly hope something is done because my family and I are extremely disappointed and frustrated with how drastically the standards have dropped.
