This used to be a good value, it's been changing of late. We walked in an hour before they are supposed to close to get some chicken and the floor looked like they had a flood. And the wet floor signs were hidden behind the tables. I'm no OHSA narc but this place had some weird ideas about how to mop the floor. Trash cans had trays over the openings so you couldn't throw anything away. There was no water available even if you are ordering food. The whole place looked like the workers wanted to go home. Everyone was rude, especially the manager on duty. Someone needs to tell her that some of us folks, even if we're white understand Spanish and it's probably not a good idea to talk mess about customers in a language they think others cannot understand. This place has gone downhill. The service was fine however we spent over 80 bucks on chicken and then they tried to charge us for the sauces. I didn't even want to ask for ketchup because they probably would have tried to charge for that too. Half of the Resturant was closed due to the air unit leaking. When the food is made fresh it's delicious. Fresh meaning you're going to have to wait at least 10 minutes for your food. If it's ready immediately might as well drive off or throw the whole meal in the trash. Customer service varies. You can get a pleasant and patient lady when ordering through the drive through, but once you get to the window the older Latina/Hispanic lady is not who they should have servicing people. Keep her in the very back away from customers. She's a little brash and definitely impatient. It's a family friendly place where you can inside at eat together. This is one of my Go-to spots. I probably went here about 30-50 times in 2025 and only had my order wrong once and the immediately fixed it. The food has always been hot and fresh. I have to admit I was a little disappointed because my visit was delightful. I read so many negative reviews about this mysterious "Alex" woman, an agitator, who is single-handedly destroying this location's reputation and yelp rating. I was hoping to have dinner and a show, but it was just a typical fast food experience. I have never endured what I had to endure during my lunch break, it was absolutely unnecessary and even more disappointing when I was given a hard time trying to place and receive the correct order. November 11, 2024 at 2:28 pm, I made a trip from my office on E. Sheridan to Sooner Road and placed an order for a 2pc combo with a wing and drumstick, first I had to repeat myself 3 times and then was put on hold so she can verify if there was wings available. I get to my office and I received a leg and thigh but I paid the extra for white meat that wasn't received. I called them and advised my order is wrong and I'm across town and it was on my lunch break and i have my receipt etc. thinking this will be the standard easy fix but nooooo she proceeds to tell me that she was only going to replace the meat I told her I am back at work and I wanted what I paid for. I don't know who can just eat meat like a cannibal but I cant I ordered a meal and paid for it to be prepared correctly and for this I am getting punished. I would like the meal that I thought I was going to get in its entirety like you received your payment in its entirety now your depicting how I have to receive my food which I already paid for at no fault of mine. I asked for the supervisor ph# and she said its the same number different option, so I called the number picked the different option and the same lady answers and tells me the supervisor wasn't there ( she could of told me this when I was talking to her but at this point she is being patronizing and facetious, this is the kind of torture they was putting me thru thinking this is a game. So today December 4th at lunch I go to retrieve the remake and when she finds out its me she has a attitude now and starts talking in Spanish to the other workers about me of course you can tell because they all keep gazing at me. The Mexican elderly lady works the window was so rude that I want to punch her in her face. Practically threw my chain on the ground at the drive-through window and I told her the change fell on the ground and she like yeah it's on the ground didn't offer to give me my little $.53 back and then they come out and get it the Customer Service there was horrific from that lady, and there was a young man that was very helpful and he didn't come out to try to help me find my change. I could've tried to find my change myself, but this was strictly principality. I'm not sure if this Mexican lady is racist or what but this is not my first encounter with this woman. Dana provided 5 star customer service to all the customers in the diningroom. She was so fast with the wet floor sign when someone dropped their tray I wished I could hire her! The food was amazing! Left the hospital after two days of no food and clearly we picked the right place to go! Thank you for helping me with my first visit to chicken express. I now know why my son loves it. We always go through the drive-thru. They are always friendly and patient with us because we can never decide on what to get. They have many delicious choices of chicken and side items plus you get a roll or a biscuit. The rolls are very good. This time I tried the spicy chicken strips and they were so good! Hot, fresh and fast! I ended ordering okra and mashed potatoes and gravy but the corn poppers and fried pickles also sound so good! Next time I will try one of those. They have dipping sauce. You have an incredibly immature and incapable manager in Alex.   She is not ready for a position of authority especially in a restaurant environment.  She was flummoxed and out of control because she could not keep up with the pace of the traffic.  I waited at the speaker for 10 minutes while three cars pulled forward through the line and no one said anything.  I called out to get someone's attention and no response.  When I got to the window, Alex told the cashier that I had to drive around again even though I had just spent 20 minutes in the heat waiting.  Alex claimed she was sorry she could not get to me, but refused to take my order and make it correct. She has  zero customer service skill and is a detriment to your company.  She has no business managing a store.  I eat at this location 2x a week..  You might not care about losing me, but it is obvious you don't really care about customers at all. read more

I tried to be courteous and call ahead my order since it was a larger one. The lady on the phone said no problem it'll be ready in 15 minutes so I show up 20 minutes later to the inside being closed and I call tell her I have arrived and she said okay you'll have to wait in the drive through line. So even though I called ahead I had to wait in the drive though line for another 15 minutes before getting my food! That means my food had been sitting out for me for 20 minutes. I was not told prior to arriving that the inside was closed nor was I told that I would have to wait through the line. No one ran out my food and you could tell it had been sitting for awhile. The Chicken Express in Del city Oklahoma have the worst people there working and the manager is very rude . The last time I was there the chicken was cooked to long and all that was left was the really brown coating the chicken inside was crispy . I tried to call and they never answer there phones . We came in around 5:50. We stood there forever and all the employees stared at us before a lady decided to finally take our order. Our food sat on the counter waiting for two orders of fried pickles to be cooked. So our food was served cold. We got two cookies and my son could barley bite into it. We were missing half of our meal through drive-through and paid $43 for some chicken and rolls, when it was supposed to be a family meal with 12 pieces of chicken, six rolls, family size mashed potato gravy, and a fam. coleslaw. Didnot get any mashed potatoes no gravy 2-2oz. containers of coleslaw and six rolls. Very disappointed when half of that was not in the bag. The lady right before us had a large order and waited for just a bit but had her order within 6 minutes. When we pulled up we are waited for about 15 minutes and watched the staff serve 5 cars behind us. I review eating establishments on three criteria: 1) Service 2) Price and 3) Quality. 1. The employee who took my order at the drive-thru speaker was friendly, apologized for the wait (even though my wait was only a few seconds. Repeated my order back to me to ensure accuracy and politely asked me to pull around. 2) Ordered the two piece snack pack, came with a side and one of those terrific dinner rolls at $5.44. Perfect lunch on a Sunday for a busy teacher. When I pulled up to the window, the employee again apologized for the delay, how often does that happen!? 3) The chicken was freshly cooked, juicy and tender with a crisp flavorful coating. Okra, also freshly cooked. As any Okie can tell you, cold Okra is not a thing of beauty.
