Excellent! Good came out hot and order was exactly what we wanted. The thighs and legs have the perfect amount of breading on them. The cashier was a younger high school aged guy who was extremely helpful and friendly. Restaurant was clean and music was fun. We will stop by for dinner again! read more

I didn't like it. The food was very dry. The fries were dry and too hard for my liking. Only thing I like here is there biscuits.

Fried chicken is my monthly guilty pleasure. Today I decided Chicken Express would fill that craving. I normally go to one in Edmond, but decided to stop in Yukon this evening. I was extremely disappointed. The chicken strips are always amazing, but today I wanted the real thing. I ordered a 2 piece meal with a breast, a thigh, Cole slaw, and a biscuit. When I got home, all was not as I had hoped. The batter on the thigh looked different, not sure what was wrong with it, but it wasn't flaky like normal, it was hard, and almost like a fried paste on the outside it the meat. The chicken itself was fresh and juicy, by far the best part of the meal. The cole slaw was wilted, it tasted fine but was well on its way to brown. The biscuit was old and stale, I only took one bite and threw it out. Even my iced tea was so packed with ice that I finished in in a few drinks. It was about 7:30 when I went through, so it is possible that I got the left overs after the dinner rush but it was really disappointing. That said, the guy at the drive thru was really nice, he offered up sells, and asked me every question possible Including inquiring if I was eligible for a military or senior discount (be carful with that last one, if I were an older person, I might have been aghast). Overall, I think they were having a bad night as normally the quality is much better, or possibly the standards aren't as high in Yukon as the are in other places. Stopped at The new chicken express in Yukon. I ordered the number one combo which includes for tenders, a biscuit, a small side of mashed potatoes, and gravy. The biscuit was in ok nothing special to rav about. The mashed potatoes were not freshly scooped and tasted as if they had been scooped and hour early and left to sit in the container under a heat lamp. The dollop of gravy on top didn't do enough to untoughen them I found having to put a 1/3 of my gravy side in them to get them back to a decent consistentecy. The gravy itself was a hybrid of peppered gravy with a bit of chicken fat in it, and was the best thing about the meal. The Tenders were surprisingly hot and juicy, even though with the speed at which they got my order out to me u just knew they came out of a big fried recent batch. The breeding was light but had no flavor. I had to douse in hot sauce just to get it to have heat and salt, so keep that in mind. I'd say the tenders were ok, the tenders from Golden Chick or Kane's just has more flavor then these. The tenders were big enough, a decent size that for the $8 I paid for the combo, made for a decent meal for the cost. A solid 3.5 star effort, would probably eat here again on a coupon or discount. read more

Pickup dinner was cold catfish was tuff and chewy, the tea was weak like sugar water..

Went through the drive through and ordered the fish snack with extra hush puppies. The fish and hush puppies were hard and dry. So dry I had to drink lots of water to get it down. I eat here often so I know how it is supposed to taste. It was 4:10 in the afternoon. I called to let them know it was not up to their usual standards and they said they couldn't do anything unless I brought the food back up there with my receipt. This is in Yukon, I live in Mustang! So buyer beware! They do not want to take care of customers and want to argue. Fortunately for me there are tons of other chicken places that actually WANT my business! read more

I almost didn't try this Chicken Express because of a previous horrible experience at another location. I'm so glad I changed my mind. I think this was the best chicken tenders and catfish fillets I've had. They had a light flavor to them with just the right amount of salt and they were really juicy but not greasy. Most places put way too much salt on their chicken, but not here. The fried pickle slices had a unique flavor but they would have been much better with a lot less salt on them. I could only eat a few and I love fried pickles. The corn on the cob wasn't sweet but it was still good. The cole slaw was tasty and the hushpuppies were different than most other places; they had the perfect amount of seasonings without an overly strong onion flavor and they weren't full of grease. The gravy was just your ordinary pepper gravy from a package but it was still satisfying but I didn't taste any chicken fat like someone else had stated before. The yeast rolls were amazing. I could easily just eat the rolls and chicken tenders and be content! I like that (according to the website) the chicken, fish, just about anything that's breaded and hushpuppies don't contain egg. My son ate everything and didn't have any visible signs of an allergic reaction. There is finally a chicken place he can eat at! read more

Went on 6/30/21 at 4:57pm. We ordered the fish snack and the livers and gizzards. It was horrible! Dry, so dry could not eat it. The dog wouldn't even eat it. Horrible! If I worked there I would be humiliated serving this food. We will never go back! read more

Came thru drive thru about 3 pm got the catfish combo...it was so dry and tough like jerky, the tea had a weird taste, the mashed potatoes were just ok...called just to let them know to not over cook fish so much but no answer...weird. Threw it all away, what a waste of $8 read more

So disappointed in this chicken express. I live in NW OKC so we have to travel to get there. Each time I go it seems like they give me 1 less tender than I order. Today I ordered the 7 piece hoping to at least get 6...nope get home and I got 3.5 tenders in my box and the biscuit is super hard like it's been sitting there all day. I'd rather they just tell me their out of biscuits and offer me a roll instead. Ah well, at least I wasn't ordering for my whole family tonight! I would have went to the Moore location on my way home from work if I'd thought this would happen. SMH read more

I ordered my food and sat at the drive-through line closed window for several minutes and nobody came to the window. If they were waiting on something it would've been nice to know but I got nothing. This location sucks. I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes before I even got to order my food. Once I did, I sat another 10 minutes waiting. Got up to the window and they tried to give me the wrong order, so I told them that wasn't mine. The girl walked out and gave the person behind me their food. I only ordered a combo and a drink. My food should have been ready before the person BEHIND me. Drove home and there was no silverware with my food. Opened up the box and there was no biscuit or roll. Just the chicken and fries. I contacted the manager and was told that the cashier should not have charged for the water or the sauces. She was apologetic and said that she would discuss with cashier and offer more training. Misty also provided me with a gift card to try their restaurant again and I appreciate her immediate response. First time at Chicken Express in Yukon, Oklahoma. Food and service was great. The only CON was when we walked in music was way too loud. Ask employee behind counter to turn it down because she couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear her. She said new manager didn't know how to turn down. Seen some people we knew and they said the same thing. They walked out before they finished their meal. Need to give a class on how to turn down music. Will go back and see if it's any better. Chicken tenders tasted funny. Ordered the 4 piece & got 3 and 1 tiny tender. Potatoes barely had any gravy on them. Both my sons tried my chicken and said it tasted bad. My son ordered fish and only ate 1 piece of his 2 pieces. He loves fish and this was highly unusual. I tried it and agreed it tasted very dry and had no seasoning at all very bland. Cashier was poorly trained and when we ordered a kids meal with a leg rang it up as a snack meal instead. When I corrected him to get the drink he didn't seem to understand his mistake. 2 out of 4 of us didn't finish our meals and left hungry. Went elsewhere to get something additional to eat. Will not return. We are amazed people eat here. I guess some people don't know what good chicken tastes like. read more

To me customer service is as important as the meal. I went through the drive thru and made a fairly large order ($45.00-$50.00) for a family meal and waited and waited and waited. I waited as 4-5 other people got their orders ahead of me while I waited 15 minutes without any sort of explaintion or acknowledgment while sitting at the window of what was going on such as we are waiting on chicken or whatever the case may have been during this 15 minute period. The staff just kept coming out delivering the food to patrons behind me in line. After 15 minutes of this lack of respect I ended up making the same order at Kentucky Fried Chicken down the street with no problems whatsoever. We got our order in less than 5 minutes and the food tasted fresh and was still hot when we got home to eat it. I also think for the same amount of food it was cheaper at KFC than it was at Chicken Express. Lesson learned, I think if someone asks my recommendation for chicken it will not be Chicken Express after dealing with their lack of customer service. read more
