Great tasting fried chicken with lots of options for extras. You can't get okra at KFC! I would say that the cost is a touch high for the amount of food you get. The strips are good, but not for that price or portion. That's the only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. Chicken Express on 82nd (just past University Ave.) is the best! We have tried many chicken tenders in Lubbock, and drive thru was busy!! Gave us a few extra tenders, too! Usually the food is pretty good but avoid this location. I found a 4 inch hair in my food and it was disgusting and nobody seemed too concerned. Again check your food first if you go to this location and even better avoid it at all costs. read more

I came through the drive through at lunch. Place was under construction so drive through speaker was not available. They had an employee out front to take the orders. Her tablet wasn't working so I got wait for her to go inside and get it operative. Had to give her my order twice and repeat a third time what two pieces of chicken I wanted. Got to pickup window and employee there was very friendly and pleasant (which is real unusual for this place). However, when I got home I discovered one of my sides was missing. Called store and gave them the receipt number. Said I could come back to store, the same day only, to get my fricking side. I explained that would not be convenient at all and could they do something for me on a future order? Answer: no. Not apologetic about it at all either. My family and I have probably been spending around $80 a month at this store because we like the chicken. However, their customer service has always been poor. They have a real arrogant attitude. There is no provision for leaving online feedback with the company and in fact they openly discourage it. Also, I have noticed the chicken getting smaller and smaller. This place has always been expensive for a chicken joint. Think I'll give Popeyes another shot after this highly unsatisfactory experience. read more

Super sad everytime I go into this Chicken Express there is always a 10 minute or more wait on the fish fillet. My husband cannot eat the chicken so when we go it's because we are going to want the fish. Never ready. Always a wait. Super frustrating. Popeyes chicken on Milwaukee Ave, Lubbock Tx. Has been the worst experience ever. The place was dirty, the employees and managment were rude.. I waited 30 minutes for my food until I finally went to the counter to find out they didnt have my order ticket. I asked for my refund because this was just enough, managment gave me refund but was not happy.. My order was a $41.00 order.. This location is the most unorganized place I've been to..
