I went around 2:30pm on a Wednesday, so it was pretty empty and I had service all to myself! The server, Mackenzie, was quick, responsive, and very helpful for this first timer. The place had soft to moderate sound, even with all of the TVs nearby. It was clean and I can tell they were waiting for the evening rush. The Signature calzones are a must try! I had the All meat one and outside of the outside breading seeming a little overdone, the insides were cooked to perfection. I wish I asked to take some marinara sauce to-go because it was that good. Parry's Pizzeria & Taphouse is the epitome of an excellent restaurant, excellent management, & excellent service. We have been many times now since it opened, & we have never had an experience less than wonderful. Despite it being on the louder side when you walk in, you can still hear everyone at your table, & there are areas you can sit (including nice outdoor seating) that are even more quiet. The atmosphere is very cool inside & out. Now, no place is perfect! Our first time to the restaurant, my husband & I split a pizza. When our server brought it out, she pointed out the bubble in the crust. She explained that it isn't up to their standard, & said they were going to send us home with a whole other pizza for free, as well as let us keep this one if we didn't mind. OF COURSE we didn't mind! WOW! Both pizzas tasted incredible & had such delicious, original flavors. Any mistake we've ever witnessed at this restaurant has consistently been made up for above & beyond. The next time we visited, we tried a different pizza flavor. Absolutely wonderful. We have continued to try different things every time we've visited since the menu has so much variety. Not to our surprise, everything we've tried has been DELICIOUS & so full of flavor. First off, I think they have the biggest tap list in town and bigger than most brew pubs I've been to. Sat at the bar with adequate service. Three big TVs in clear view to watch some good sports. Enjoyed an ice cold "The Beckiest" blonde ale beer and a "Devil's Backbone" tripel. The Pearl pizza was outstanding. The crust had a perfect blend of slight crunch and chewiness. The ricotta and parmesan cheeses complemented the sausage and garlic very nicely. The Crown Heights cookie dessert was amazing. Definitely a homemade, fresh chocolate chip cookie served fresh out of the oven on a piping hot skillet. Actually had more than enough ice cream to complement every bite. Really good happy hour specials. I wish I lived here. The pizza might've been a little overpriced, but probably worth it. read more

Stopped there to try "NY Style" pizza in Tx. I am from Upstate NY and have tried a ton of places in Lubbock. We ordered two pizzas, one sausage and mushroom and "The Pearl" as listed with boneless medium wings. The waitress was nice and our table was clean. Restaurant was pretty packed and loud, as expected for an active sports bar. The boneless wings were mid at best.The Pearl pizza was drowned in garlic/salt so heavily that we couldn't eat it. We love garlic but it was grossly salty bitter like pure garlic salt. The sausage and mushroom pizza was dense and super tough but edible. We ate two pieces of the Pearl and boxed it to only throw it away when we got home. We took the rest of the sausage mushroom home to struggle eating it at lunch for two days vs throwing it away. We used to be regulars, and I thought I had original review. Guess not. The place used to be great, and kind of a hidden gem. Now the line is too long t get in, and the hostesses are not friendly. They'd rather gossip or complain to each other. The food was great! Like I said, we were regularly there, but then they got skimpy. The last time I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, it had 6 pieces of chicken for a large. The cheese was so light, you could see the crust of the pizza, so we basically got pizza crust with buffalo sauce and one small piece of chicken for 6 of the 8 slices. The Parmesan bites looked to be half of what we used to get and the beer was served in a dirty glass. Ambiance was the same, loud, fun and full of tv's. Mostly on the same game. (Facepalm) and they now rush you through your meal. Think- here's your pizza, you got 5 minutes, then leave. We haven't been back. read more

I ordered to go via their website and paid before I arrived. Service was terrible and the hostess helping me had an attitude for no reason. I get home to enjoy my meal I paid almost $50 for and the fries were missing. Im a reasonable person, I could get over some missing fries, the part I was most excited for was the cookie because I've had it previously when I went and sat down in restaurant and it was delicious. I open the container and was astonished to see it was BURNT!!! I am absolutely livid, they saw it was burnt before they put it in my bag and just let me leave with it as is, rather than making a new one knowing they messed up. This ruined my night, will not be ordering to go again from this place. read more

Another great trip to Parry's. I had the Nashville hot chicken again with Parmesan fries and a small side salad. My son had the medium cheese pizza again. The wife had the meatball bake. My sandwich was excellent. Spicy but not ridiculous. Lots of flavor. The Parmesan fries were crisp and flavorful. The pizza was better when dipped in the warm marinara. Nice thin crust. The meatball bake was just the right size and tasted great. The ricotta cheese is a nice addition. The salad is a must. The server was friendly and stopped by often, and the atmosphere is great, especially for sports fans. I need to try something else on the menu, but that sandwich is really good. read more

After been in town visiting the family we decided to head over to Parry's. First time here and let me tell you, the place is nice and the food is good. The ambiance is a bit too loud for it been a really nice casual place. Music was just to loud. If maybe they tune it down a bit would be awesome. So we order different stuff on the menu. As you see in the pictures the only thing that was just really not all that enjoyable was the Mac and cheese pasta. Too much of a sharp cheddar taste. Other than that all the rest of the food was great. Our server was outstanding. Next time we are in town we will definitely stop by to try there pizza. That's the only thing we missed. I love Parry's food SO much. My go-to is the Lexington Ave. chicken salad - I like it grilled with buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles. My daughter and I love the Pearl pizza with no ricotta. And my husband's fav is a good ol' pepperoni and Italian sausage. When we went in last night, my daughter had the Mac and cheese with grilled chicken and it was great, too. Unfortunately, I can't give our experience five stars because it is JUST SO FREAKING LOUD in there. Seriously. Couldn't talk. The only discussion was about the volume. We checked. It was 120 decibels. You're only supposed to be in 120 decibels for one minute or less for hearing health. I worry they should provide their staff earplugs! We had to shout/repeat our orders to our server because she couldn't hear us. Truly, I think we'll just have to be a take-out family from now on. We came in around 3 and were seated in the patio. It took a long time for a server to greet us. In fact, a server at the bar had to find a server for our table and when she did so, I observed him less than enthused about it. We were not able to catch his name bc he didn't speak clearly. Ordered pizza, Caesar salad, and cookie dessert. Pizza was good, but we really prefer a thicker crust. It would describe this one as thin crust pizza. The dessert was burned slightly on the bottom but it had a lot of ice cream! Overall, we would try Parry's again with hopes of a better service experience. Verdict is still out for us! read more

Parry's is sooo hit or miss. We ate at Parry's lastnight. First the food: the Caesar was good. We ordered the artichoke appetizer and it came with almost a smear of of it in the bottom of the dish. There was enough to put on about 3 chips, of the 50 they give you. The pizzas was the oiliest, drippiest pile of goo I've ever seen. It was terrible. When I asked Audrey if was always this bad, she basically said "yeah". The service: terrible. This seems to be a common theme. We had to ask for plates, for napkins, for silverware, for pepper. Our 1 beer came out with the pizza. Then after this experience, our waitress expended her most strenuous effort trying to sell us gift cards so she could beat the managers wife. We declined. Parry's needs to improve service training and reevaluate the oily pizzas! read more
