After wiping it off my finger, after digging it out of my 32oz Sweet Tea

The people honestly did not care about anything, they were so "whatever" about everything, my drink had whatever the picture shows in it and I found it after I drank it. I thought the Bryant location was bad, I sadly stand corrected

a box of fried chicken and a donut

Horrible workers horrible everything they aren't even busy and they still messed up my entire order I asked for extra gravy and got non and order chicken TENDERS didn't even get that u need a new damn staff lazy ass workers never eating there again

drive thru.

So, I will give props to the girl who took the order for being super sweet and friendly. However, disappointed in the fact that you claim to have powerade & was told that wasn't a thing... but they had hi-c.... not even the same bracket on the thirst and beverage scale. Also, outside appearance was rough. looked like a semi tried to take out the drive thru... god bless.

Receight showing what my order was.

I am so tired of going to this Chicken Express and ordering a THREE piece chicken dinner and getting home, which is 85 miles away, opening my box and finding TWO pieces of chicken. The employee even asked me specifically whether I wanted TWO thighs and ONE leg or TWO legs and ONE thigh. I asked for the former and got the thighs but no leg. The receipt SHOWS (2) THIGHS LEG. I love their chicken but it's like this is the way for them to make an extra profit because they know that TO GO orders may result in the customer not coming back. I usually take the time to check my order before leaving but was in a hurry today and didn't do so. That's my mistake, especially with this being a recurring issue there. They've lost my business for good now.

Chicken tenders, fried pickles, biscuit with gravy and a large tea, $7.35 out the door.. Can't beat it.

Excellent food, fast and friendly service and good price.. Can't beat it. I wish some of the bars that are nearby this place would take pointers from the customer service here.

Chicken is always really good, rolls are always delish, it's a hit or miss with the okra and tea is usually good, but it has tasted old a couple times.

"TACO TUESDAY at a BURGER JOINT" When you think of Taco…read moreTuesday, you think of having a Taco at a Mexican Restaurant, and that's a good thing because Tacos at any Mexican Restaurant are always a good sign. Well, people, one does not have to go to a Mexican Restaurant to enjoy a Taco on Taco Tuesday. There is another place that offers Tacos, but not your ordinary Taco. It's their "Steak Tacos" that are for a limited time only. It's "Freddy's Steakburgers" (& Frozen Custard). I have been to Freddy's and enjoyed their Double Steakburger with Cheese, but my Lovely Wife has not. Taco Tuesday is the perfect day for that. Here is how it went when we arrived. Freddy's came to mind when I saw a Foodie Friend, Mike Bendiksen's video of his review of Freddy's Steakburger Tacos. Nicely done, Mike. Pulled in just past 5 pm, and lots of cars/trucks are here. Walked in, and no one was at the counter ordering, just us. Checked out the Menu board overhead and didn't see the Tacos. Noticed a sign on the counter promoting them, and they look pretty good. Nancy is ordering first, and she is going with their "Senior Cheeseburger" Combo. Single SmashSteakburger with Cheese, Mustard, Onion & Pickle. Comes with French Fries, which are Skinny Fries (and I love them), and a Small Drink. I enquired about the size of their Tacos. Aleanna, who is taking our order, stated they are about the size of his hand. Their Tacos are a Smashburger Taco made with a Steakburger Patty, with American Cheese on a Grilled Tortilla with Lettuce & Jalapeno Fry Sauce. I asked for a Double-Smashburger Taco, two of them. Aleanna said he didn't think they came that way, but will check. His boss came over and said that they only come one way, as a Single Smashburger. I then asked for Two Steakburger Tacos, both with extra Pepper Jack Cheese and Cheddar Cheese. He seemed confused about the extra Cheese, and replied back, with extra Pepper Jack Cheese. I then stated No, with extra Pepper Jack Cheese 'and' Cheddar Cheese. (let me explain, before we left the house, I checked on-line at this location, and there is an extra charge for the combo of Pepper Jack Cheese and Cheddar Cheese, and there are many add-ons to these Tacos for an extra charge). He wanted to know if this replaces the American Cheese, and I said, No, it's added-on. I then ordered a medium drink. Orders are in and paid for. We filled our drinks, a Diet Coke for my Wife and a Diet Dr Pepper for me. Located a table away from the crying baby (don't you just love it when this happens). Soon they called out our number and my Wife picked up the tray. Both of my Steakburger Tacos are filled to the top with lots of Lettuce, and the Tortilla is nicely grilled. Took my first bite, and this is a pretty good Taco. The second bite was better because their Jalapeno Fry Sauce was there, and it has a nice Spice kick. The Smashburger itself is seasoned very well, but it is very thin - and I mean "thin". It would seem that 10 of these patties would equal a quarter pound. Lots of Jalapeno Fry Sauce is hidden inside the lettuce, making this Thin Smashburger Taco heavy, and adding a lot of flavor - nicely done. I also did not receive any Cheddar Cheese on either Taco, just the Pepper Jack. They apparently did not know how to do that. Overall, this Single Smashburger-Steakburger Taco is good, but with the patty being so thin, they should call this one a "Newspaper Smashburger Taco". My Wife enjoyed her Senior Cheeseburger, and also stated that the Patty is thin, and okay in taste. Their 'Skinny Fries' are delicious, with a nice crunch. She picked up one of their dipping sauces for the fries, and it's one of the best dipping sauces you will find. Nice flavor that goes very well with these fries. I also added some to one of my Tacos, and it is gooooooood. Some time back, as stated earlier in this review, I ate here before, and their Double Steakburger patties were thicker then than they are now. Don't know if this is true with all of Freddy's locations, but it is at this one. This location also needs to retrain their employees, including the Shift Supervisors, or whatever they are called, as to what they sell here and how they are made. Both of our order-taking guys had to go check to see if they do this for what I ordered. Maybe this is why when we drive by Freddy's, there are hardly any cars/trucks here. Anyway, when you are out-and-about sometime, check out a Freddy's and get yourself a couple of those Tacos while they last. And if they can, double-up on the Smashburger-Steakburger meat. Hopefully, they will know how to prepare yours.

We went through the Drive-thru. It was fast. The burger was tasty but a bit soggy. I'd try it…read moreagain, but this is not one of my top 3 burger joints.

My husband had been before here back in his college days and wasn't too fond of it. I opted for the 2 hotdog meal with mustard, relish and diced onions w/fries and he the deluxe burger w/fries. He LOVED his burger and quickly changed his opinion on this place from when he was here 30+ yrs ago. My dogs were good, nothing special or fantastic to write home about but now I can cross this place off my bucket list. They have a good variety of choices to pick from and the prices are reasonable. The drive thru service was friendly and fairly quick and the kitchen area looked clean from the drivers seat view. There is a small outside dining area should you choose to do so. Probably will come back but it's not on the high priority list.

My Wonderful Wife does not feel very well today and it's getting around Lunch time. I was thinking…read moreabout us going out to eat at Wienerschnitzel for their January Wednesday Special, 4-Chili-Dogs for 4-Bucks - but since she's down with the weather (and it is cold here) that will be placed on hold for maybe next Wednesday. We will just have to wait for that when she gets better ------- ------but I'm not waiting. I LoVe my Wife but I want to eat "Chili Dogs" today so I went by myself. I did offer to bring her back some but she didn't want any. It's the thought that counts - and I thought - and did ask her so it's okay that I go by myself. The Vette-Jet is ready to go so I went. Arrived for a late Lunch and there are still many a cars/trucks in line. They are always busy no matter what time of day. So I parked the Vette-Jet and went inside. On the front they have a small ordering area and Jesus (not the real one, but pronounced; 'Hey-Juice', or something like that - hey, I didn't take Spanish in High School, just French because I thought it was a kissing class. Boy was I wrong. Anyway, I showed him the coupon (which you don't need) and asked if they have that here. He said they do and so I place my order. Just the 4-Chili-Dogs, that's all I want. Didn't take long and my 4-Chili-Dogs were in a bag. They have five employees here working hard so I gave them each a nice tip. They are 'All' appreciated. We have two Wienerschnitzels here in San Angelo and this one has a Large Umbrella Covered area for you to enjoy our order. I grabbed a table and unwrapped each Chili-Dog and they all look Chililicious. I devoured each one nice-n-slowly so I could enjoy every bite. Wienerschnitzels Chili-Dogs-Melt-in-Your-Mouth-Liciousness and are the Best around - . In fact, I kind of closed my eyes as I enjoyed each one - and drooled a little. I returned home right after my Wienerschnitzel run and my Lovely Wife was still resting and taking it easy. It turned out to be a pretty nice day, not near as cold as it was earlier, but the temp will drop again tonight into the teens. I'm just keeping my Baby warm and comfy. Check out a Wienerschnitzel near you and give them a try on any day of the week - they are Meltylicious. And if you don't have one near you, next time you're on a road-trip, find one. They also have lots of other coupons available for you on their website. Enjoy - I always do. Hoping my Baby gets better. Love You Bunches & ChiliDogMunches.

I know you know yesterday was Valentine's Day, and it's a good day to take your "Better Half" (and…read moreyou know that's true) out for Dinner at one of her favorite places. "The Grill". That also sounds really good to me. We know The Grill will be busy, especially since Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, so we left earlier than normal. Arrived, and a good number of cars were parked all around. Walked in, and the place is packed, with every bar stool and table taken. The Hostess said it will only be a few minutes for your table. In a couple of minutes, a table was available. After we were seated, more people arrived, but they also only had to wait a couple of minutes. The Grill has two bartenders working along with several servers, and a couple of employees cleaning up the tables when they become available. Our Server is Sophia, and she took our drink order. Two Jack-N-Cokes and waters. While we waited for our drinks, we looked over the menu. We kind of already know what we are going to order, and we did. My Wife is going with one of her usuals, their "Happy Hour Nachos" ($6.50), listed as 'Roasted Pork Nachos' on the main menu. Slow Roasted Pork, Chipotle Sauce, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over lots of Fresh Chips with Green sliced Jalapenos on one side, and Red sliced Jalapenos throughout the plate. I am going with the "Baja Fish Tacos", Blackened Baja Fish with Chipotle Sauce, and pickled Slaw. Served with Guacamole, Rice, Black Beans, and double Corn Tortillas for three Tacos. We placed our order with Sophia when she served our drinks. Then we toasted to Valentine's Day, and us. The bartenders here make the Best Jack-N-Cokes around. They are really good, smoooooooth, and go down easy. While we waited for our food, The Grill became busier and busier, with more people waiting. Glad we came a little early. Sophia stopped by, as well as one of the Managers checking on us to see if we needed anything. Service here is always tops. Soon our food arrived, and my Wife's Roasted Pork Nachos were served the same as they always have been, piled up high and covering the entire plate, and I might add, very colorful. I Love the way they prepare the Baja Fish Tacos with a Huge chunk of perfectly grilled fish all by itself next to the Rice & Black Beans, a large scoop of Fresh Guacamole, and several Corn Tortillas for you to make your own, with Pickled Slaw to the side. Both dishes are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness that you will find nowhere else. The Grill does it right. My Wife's Nachos have a lot of melted cheese oozing everywhere with lots of corn chips and several pounds of Roasted Pulled Pork. Well, okay, maybe not 'pounds', but there are a lot of large chunks throughout this dish. She said it is delicious and loving that Pulled Pork. She ate about half of it and will take the rest home for a meal that will be for both of us - you get a lot of food at The Grill. I cut off a long chunk of fish, spread their Chipotle Sauce on a couple of corn tortillas, then the fish, topping it off with rice & black beans, guacamole, and their pickled slaw. This Fish Taco is Deliciousness and more. The perfectly grilled Baja Fish has lots of flavor with just enough spice from the chipotle sauce. I made three of these, each a little different, and they all were very Tastylicious. Each Taco was so filled with goodies I could not fold it over, and I ate them more like a Tostada instead. Either way, they are The Best. I also have some fish left over that I ate with the remaining sides, adding that chipotle sauce to each bite. I ate all of mine, with no leftovers to take home. While we were enjoying our food, Sophia said that she would like to take a picture of us with my camera because we are a cute couple. Hey, I couldn't disagree with that, so she did. Flattery will get you everywhere. Thank You Sophia. Well, guess what? Sophia earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm, and a nice tip. We boxed up my Wife's leftovers and headed home, and The Grill was still busy as ever when we left. This was a Great way to enjoy a Valentine's Day Dinner.

The dining area should be serviced hourly with regard to wiping down the tables and sweeping/mopping. Also checking and refilling the condiments hourly. And the soda fountain could do with a nightly scouring. So why the 1 1/2 stars. I suppose that in the past, this place was really bad: dirt on the register, potholes in the parking lot, mold growing in the soda fountain reservoir. This place is actually not as bad as that. San Angelo is a sleepy little town, and looks to be quite old. The downtown area has potholes, pavement has plenty of broken spots where there were once pretty tiles, and the buildings are just old. So with that knowledge, yes, there might have been potholes recently, but upon parking in the parking lot, we didn't notice any. I didn't go through the drive thru, so I cannot say there are none. Walking into the main dining area, there are crumbs on the tables, dusty shoe prints on the floor as well as crumbs, and the condiment tartar sauce was empty, however it was easily remedied when staff offered me a handful of tarter sauces. Garbage was not overflowing and I did not note any garbage on the floors either. Although a single napkin on the floor is not a "pile" of garbage as someone else had defined in their review. The staff were friendly and quite patient as I waffled between ordering different plates on the menu. My food came out promptly. The batter was warm and crispy, so obviously my food had not been sitting out all day, but not quite fresh from the fryer either. The food smelled and looked appetizing, just as I had remembered as a child growing up. The crispy bits of batter accompanying my fish was a sight for sore eyes. As usual, it was super greasy, it probably always has been, but the oil used was not old. Everything was cooked to par level. It isn't bad at all. Just bear in mind that this place is not fine dining. The tables and floor won't be immaculate, the condiments may go empty, but staff was pleasant and even came out to check on us a couple of times.

The woman couldn't eat spicy foods and her burger was covered with spicy items. She took it up to the woman taking orders and the woman refused to do anything. Wow.) The restrooms, wood sides along booths, pickle table and the condiments/tables need a serious cleaning - there is grossness abounding. I didn't see one person busing or cleaning in the restaurant - and it shows! Gross. The fries could've been great if they were crispy but they were all super soggy. FRY FAIL!
