I've been to this location twice. First time we sat at the bar and someone had their dog there sitting on a chair. It was a small dog and was apparently friendly because the wait staff and the manager came and petted the dog and then continued on with their handling of food. The second time we visited this location we sat at the bar. There wasn't a dog but there was a family sitting there with a kid who had toys out and playing and talking loudly. Ok we can get past that because kids are kids but I don't think they belong at the bar... so my food came out wrong and the bartender admitted that she put it in wrong. My husband had already been given his steak and he didn't want to eat infront of me while I was waiting on my corrected meal. It took a little too long to get the food so the bartender went to the kitchen to see what's up. My plate was right and the food was hot but guess who's wasn't? Right. Meanwhile his drink wasn't refilled, we weren't offered bread when we sat and certainly wasn't offered more bread as the evening went on. All and all it wasn't worth the $100 bill. I called in an order of coconut shrimp today for my 87yr old Mom. She loves this stuff and is sensitive to "soy" in her diet. When I ordered it, I was able to place the "no soy" in the special instructions. It was no problem for them! The order was ready in as little as 15-20mins and I stopped by to pick it up! "GOING OUT FOR A CELEBRATION" A neighbor or ours had a Birthday last Saturday and we invited her out for Dinner to Celebrate. She chose Outback Steakhouse, which happens to be near us. 'Bret', my Wife's Maverick, is already to go - and so are we. We were greeted by the Hostess and shown to a booth. Kevin is our Server and we looked over their Drink Menu first. We LOVE their Bar Drinks and they have Cocktails all day, every day, for only 7-Bucks. My Wife chose their 'Boozy Cherry Limeade'; Black Cherry Mix w/Bacardi Lime & Sprite, and I went with the 'Wallaby Darned'; LaMarca Prosecco & Peaches. Linda is having Iced Tea. While we waited for our drinks we looked over the Menu. Linda Loves Outback for their 'Coconut Shrimp' and says it's the only thing she orders here, and that's what she is ordering this time - as is my Wife (she also LoVeS Coconut Shrimp). The 'Coconut Shrimp' is listed on their 'Aussie 3-Course Meal' consisting of 'Soup or Salad', choose 1-Main Entree with Side and a dessert of 'Cheesecake' with choice of topping. Pretty good deal. Linda and my Wife went with a Salad & Asparagus as the side - and Raspberry Cheesecake. I also am ordering from the 'Aussie 3-Course Meal', but went with the '6oz Sirloin' (med-rare) with Steakhouse Mac-n-Cheese and the Baked Potato Soup - also the Raspberry Cheesecake. Outback also brings you Fresh Baked Bread in a Loaf form with Soft Butter. I sliced off a couple slices, spread on the butter, which is Very Fluffy (love that), but the Bread itself seemed like it was a couple hours old just sitting around, but still had some good flavor - just not as fresh as you would think. Orders are in and our Drinks arrived. My Wife's 'Boozy Cherry Limeade' is really Cherried out, it is Cherrylicious. My 'Wallaby Darned' is Peached Out to the max - this is really good stuff - and the Alcohol is present making both a Very Tastylicious Cocktail. Soon our Salads and Soup arrived and they all look really good. My Baked Potato Soup does taste like you are enjoying a Baked Potato with just the right amount of flavor in every bite. Linda and my Wife enjoyed their Salads. Soon after we finished our first course, the Main Entrees arrived and they do look pretty good. The Coconut Shrimp is very impressive with the Golden Breading, served with an Orange Marmalade based dipping sauce (nice choice). The Presentation of this plate is Right-On. They both LoVeD their Coconut Shrimp, said it was very Tasty with just the Right Crunch - and that Marmalade Sauce makes it even better. I totally agree - my Wife let me have Two of hers and they are some of the Best Coconut Shrimp you could ever have, Tasty, Fresh and Perfectly Prepared. You get eight of these but my Wife received nine (extra is always a plus). The Asparagus is also some really good stuff (I had one of those also). My Sirloin Steak also looks impressive and is Med-Rare Perfect - but - it is kind-of overly seasoned for me, taking away the true flavoring of the Sirloin, which is also a little chewy - but very juicy. The Steakhouse Mac-n-Cheese is Fluffy (which is different than most places), but also on the dry side - would like a little more cheese on mine. Next up is the Dessert - and here comes our Raspberry Cheesecake. They all are a Very Nice Size with lots of Raspberry atop running down the sides - they didn't skimp on the topping and they didn't skimp on the size of the slice. We all agree that this Raspberry Cheesecake is Very Rich and Licious with strong Raspberry flavor - it's some Goooood Stufffff. Since it's Linda's Birthday, Outback offers a Free Dessert. Linda chose their "Tim Tam Brownie Cake"; layers of Chocolate Brownie, Peanut Butter & Chocolate Mousse topped with Caramel Sauce & Arnott's Tim Tam Cookies from Australia (and those cookies have the perfect crunch). We have had this before an it is a Very Rich & Creamy Delicious Dessert. Since we already had Dessert here, she chose to take it home - and we did - to our house to have a little later. Here's the catch having it 'To-Go'. They box it up differently than when serving it while you are there. Lets put it this way, it's like ordering from Ikea, taking it home and assembling it yourself. It doesn't change the taste any at all - it's still Rich & Creamyliciousness that one person along should not eat it all - it is meant to share - but it is still some Really Goooood Stufffff - it just doesn't look anything like what they serve in the Restaurant. Outback Steakhouse ROCKS on their Cocktails, Coconut Shrimp and their Desserts - but not their Steaks (not for me anyway). Next time we come here we are sitting at the Bar, ordering their Cocktails, Coconut Shrimp and Dessert of choice, especially their Tim-Tam - and sharing. Interacting with the Bartenders is always fun at any Restaurant. Service has always been excellent here and Kevin earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-and-beyond' the norm - and loved it. read more

We have always enjoyed Outback at a number of locations. This was our first visit to this location and we weren't disappointed. As usual, we ordered a Bloomin' Onion. When it arrived the waitress apologized regarding its small size and said they were cooking another one for us. While it was indeed small, I told her it was OK as it was just the two of us anyway and asked her to give the second one to another customer. While we were eating it the second one, more like a dish of crispy onion petals showed up. They were very good too, different, definitely more crispy. The remainder of our order arrived. Again, we are very familiar with what we like and what we ordered. It was all excellent. The service was excellent. Our beverages were never empty. What else can you ask for? Horrible service. Steak was raw and undercooked for my wife's I asked for them to finish cooking and they returned mine still raw. Blooming onion was burnt. They also made my sister chicken, but brought it out raw as well. The manager had an attitude with our family on a nice night. My sister for her birthday was offered ice cream, but they got the order wrong; to not make waves we decided to just eat it and go. Kind of going high on these stars for a chain but came here and...... please don't bash me for this, but ordered the steak sandwich. I cannot believe how good it was, I mean it the way it came wrapped in some kind of newspaper looking wrapper and as you remove it, cheese and all kinds of gooey things come dropping out but that flavor though! I then moved over to the main dining room for dinner and ordered a side salad for starters which was good, then a 6 oz filet which was cooked perfect and a baked potato. My family dined at Outback Steakhouse yesterday for dinner and this experience was slightly less enjoyable than our previous experience about a month ago. I opted for the "Tilapia with LUMP CRAB MEAT" with broccoli and my husband tried the "Grilled Chicken topped with Bacon"; his meal also included mashed potatoes and a side salad. For starters, by the age of three I could catch a crab, cook, and eat it like most Charlestonians worth their weight in gold. Knowing how much work is actually invested in harvesting crab meat, I only allow the term "LUMP" to be used with crab meat when that's what it is. Therefore, the crab should be pulled from its crustacean's shell in one piece or in a LUMP. This allows the diner to enjoy mouthfuls of crabby deliciousness in one or many bites. That's NOT what I got! Instead, I received a beautifully cooked piece of grilled Tilapia with a flour filled patty on top that would give all of the diners with gluten sensitivities in a "crab stuffing" induced coma. Yes, "crab stuffing ". That's how the manager succinctly described my meal when he came by to check on us and I explained the small dilemma. He added that the "stuffing" was topped with "crab" but he left the "lump" off of his description. Unfortunately, I did not care for the addition but he did offer to switch it out. At that point I was near done with the meal. My husband enjoyed his chicken but the mashed potatoes was SALTYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE! I mean so salty Lot's Wife (know your Bible History) could have made them by stirring the pot with her finger! I will give the Manager an "E" for effort as he further explained Outback is known for their "BOLD flavors". You can't fault the man for trying and they did swap out the Salt Reserves for a beautifully cooked Sweet Potato. Overall, the kid's meals turned out well and our waitress was an absolute treat. While I can't say when we'll return I'm still a little "salty" (pun intended) over that "lump crabmeat" which was more like the meat harvested out of a blue crab's backfin. My dad and I come here once a month and I always look forward to it. I get the Grilled Chicken on the Barbie with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes as my sides. I love the mashed potatoes. My husband and I used to come here for every anniversary, and on other occasions too. It was our favorite place, but since mid 2022, we noticed the quality of steak going down. I love steak but dislike steak sauces, so what appealed to me about Outback was the amazing taste from being seasoned perfectly. No need for sauce. But now, I don't feel the same. They don't season the steaks like they used to, making them less flavorful. This is the first year my husband and I will be having our anniversary dinner else where, and I'm kind of sad about it. My friends who recently went said that there's a new chef and that the chef isn't doing very good, so it got even worse AGAIN. Keep in mind that this could just be my outback having these issues. I'd like to back IF the quality of the steaks get better, otherwise, I'll be exploring other options. However, management and the waiting teams are always hard working and very nice. They always do their best, check in on the tables frequently, and have great attitudes. My only problem is the steak. I do love there baked potato soup, and there Chocolate Thunder From Down Under is delicious! If your not going for steak, they have plenty of other options that are yummy too. I had baked potato soup to start, it was tasty and piping hot. Followed it with a fillet mignon with baked potato. The fillet was cooked perfect and was well seasoned.
