Some friends of ours, Bill & Pam, invited us out for Dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We LOVE Texas Roadhouse, they have peanuts, and we LOVE peanuts. They picked us up at our house, and off we went to TRH for some Great Steaks - and Peanuts. They also have one of the Best Bacon Cheeseburgers you will ever find. But last night was Steaks for everyone. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed with only a few spots left. Some people are waiting outside, while at least 30 are waiting inside. Bill checked in with the Hostess area, and our name was called in just a couple of minutes. Thanks to 'Call-Ahead'. We were shown to a large booth and began enjoying those Fresh Warm Rolls with their Soft Honey-Cinnamon & Regular Soft Butter. As everyone knows, these are the Best Rolls around. Our Server came over and took our drink order. I'm having a Long Island Iced Tea while Pam ordered a Sangria Margarita. Bill & my Wife ordered water with lemon. We enjoyed those Fresh Delicious Rolls while looking over the Menu. When our drinks arrived, we placed our order. Bill & Pam are having their "Dallas Filet"; their Filets are the most tender, lean Steak that melts in your mouth. Includes two sides, they ordered a Sweet Potato and a 'House Salad', Fresh Greens, Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes, Hard Boiled Egg crumbles & Croutons, with dressing of your choice. My Wife and I are going with their "Steakhouse Filet Salad", Salad Greens drizzled with Italian Dressing, topped with Tender Filet Strips, Bleu Cheese crumbles, Bacon Bits, Red Onion, Tomatoes & Croutons. Served with dressing of choice. We both requested Ranch. My wife elected not to have the Bleu Cheese Crumbles. Orders are in, and we enjoyed a second basket of those Fresh Warm Delicious Rolls. My Long Island Iced Tea is really good, and Pam said she loves her Sangria Margarita. Soon, Bill & Pam's House Salads arrived, and they look delicious. Texas Roadhouse makes the Best House Salad in town. TRH is packed, but when someone has a Birthday, the Staff still takes time to sing you their version of Happy Birthday. Soon after their House Salads were finished, out food arrived. The 'Filets' are prepared perfectly and looks Tastylicious. Our 'Steakhouse Salads' are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness. The Filet Strips are also prepared perfectly, are Tenderlylicious and Flavorful. The Salad is Fresh, Crisp, and loaded with lots of goodies. I finished all of mine, and my Wife took almost half of hers home. Nancy orders this most of the time, and I do once in a while. Bill & Pam enjoyed their Filets and also took some home. When we left, TRH was still packed with over 20 people waiting for a table. It's Wednesday night, and TRH is packed. That tells you right there that this is the place to go for a Steak, or anything else on their menu. It's all good stuff. We all went back to our house for dessert. My Wife made her first-ever "Peanut Butter Pie", served with Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream. This pie was Richlyliciousness and loaded with Soft Peanut Butter flavor. My Wife really loves this pie, and I also. Just wish that Restaurants offered this on their Dessert Menu. read more

Really disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse. The staff were rude and unwelcoming, and they seated a group of their friends ahead of us even though we'd been waiting longer. We never even got served -- after being ignored, we ended up leaving. Would not recommend. Kungfu Noodle is only 5 min away great service and food. read more

Texas Road House is known for having a great steak for a great price! Aside from that, fresh beer and excellent service. I came to this one for that reasons. I wanted a quick-good steak, fresh draft beer, and good service. The ambiance is mostly the same through most of this chains. So you can expect about the same. This one had two amazing surprises for me. One: My Waiter was a special needs waiter. He was mute. To tell you how happy I was to see that Texas RoadHouse hires and gives a chance to EVERYONE, gives me hope for humanity. Our waiter was excellent. Though he could not verbally communicate with us WE HAD NO ISSUE expressing our order and he had no issue comprehending us. I loved it! I was so happy to see that Texas Roadhouse gives ALL a chance. Just for this reason alone they (and this particular location) deserve 5-Stars. Two: Aside from that, I also had a chance to witness something wonderful. A family, adjacent to our table, was celebrating the adoption of a young boy. The restaurant's manager came over their table and brought a horse saddle and had the boy seat on it and wave a rolled up cloth napkins around and around. They presented the boy to the restaurant and people cheered. It was that boy's celebration for being adopted by a loving and wonderful family. Everyone should have the opportunity to belong to a loving family and this boy just got his chance. Amazing! I'm glad I had a chance to witness this. Regarding the rest of the visit: 1) This one location was extremely busy, as are most. We were sat waiting 15-20min. 2) Food was excellent. My steak came out perfect. 3) Service was excellent. The food was awesome, and the service from "Amy Ann" was superb! However, the music was so loud it was extremely difficult to carry on a conversation at the table. My mother, who wears hearing aids, took them out because the music was so loud!! They have a great atmosphere, and wonderful food, but the music was so loud. The service was amazing. The server suggested a few margaritas and they were spot on. We ordered fried pickles and they came out pipping hot with a good thick ranch. The server who brought out our food asked if we would like to cut and check the quality of our steak and this was new to my fiance and I. We are here for work and we loved this. The food was perfect. One of my favs has disappointed me again. We went Saturday night for my birthday. Now, we knew it would be packed (it was) but only waited 20 minutes for a seat. We were watching the Bills lose a playoff game again, and realized we had been sitting there for about 15 minutes..no waiter, no drinks, nada. When he finally came over, he was very friendly, took our drink & app order. 10 mins later, got our drinks and took our order. 15 more minutes, appetizer & my salad come out. Asked for tea refill & plates for appetizer. Oh and more rolls. Never got those! 20 minutes later here comes our food. (We have not see our waiter since he took our order). Asked the food runner for rolls, and tea. Never saw her again. Cut into our filet and it's gray! So over cooked. We ordered medium. It was like cutting leather. Finally, here comes our waiter. My husband was so pissed he handed him the entire plate and insisted he take it off. I did as well. My daughter ordered rare. Hers was raw! It was still cold. But she ate it. Still holds my top spot for chain based steak house in the USA. This was my 10th store visit in the world and 9th in the USA. Always consistent no matter where I find a TXRH which I love about the franchise. Never had a bad meal at any site in any state. Menu here similar to most others, also a plus, no surprises or missing items. Love the western, Texas vibe this, and all stores have going on as well. Little escape from wherever to TX, even in this case, when you're actually in TX! A first for me! The double chop dinner with plain sweet tater and veggies or the 16 oz sirloin with the same side items has been my go-to order for take out, pick up orders here so far. On the money, spot on each time so far. Always ready to go the second I walk in, no waiting. The app makes online orders a snap as well. My grandparents live here in San Angelo, so I've been to this Roadhouse plenty of times. First of all, the food. I haven't had many different things here, but what I have had is pretty good. I've gotten the kids Mac and cheese and the steak, too. The Mac and cheese is really good. It's not regular box Mac and cheese like Chili's, I don't know how to describe it, but it's just really good. The steak is good, too. Nothing special, just regular ol' steak. The one bad experience I've had with the food here is when I ordered chicken tenders, it tasted like pickles. Like, it was as if there was pickle juice on it from something else. Other than that, the food is fine. The service is really good, too. The waiters are good with checking on you every so often, and they're also good with refilling your drinks really often. It's usually pretty busy during the lunch rush and at dinner, so I recommend going in between those busy periods. Since it's usually pretty busy, it's pretty loud, so expect to be speaking up and/or yelling to others while here most of the time. Anyways, that's all I have to say. Nothing super special. Went a couple weeks ago and ordered a 16 oz ribeyes which was $27. I didn't pick the steak when I was seated a big mistake. They are pretty consistent. Only once have the ribs not meet their normal standard. I cannot tell how they would have handled it because my son did not complain until we had left the restaurant. Texas Roadhouse has really taking a downturn this year it seems. My last 2 stops, here & Abilene prior, were not good. I know the economy is tough but the food is no where near where it used to be. First time ever at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. My friends had been saying how great the rolls were so I was really excited to give it a try. The rolls just tasted like warm Hawaiian rolls. Nothing too special. I ordered the salmon with a grilled shrimp kicker. Before ordering my sides, I asked the waitress of the green beans were from a can and she explained everything is fresh and taken out and made the day of. So I expected to have fresh green beans. My second side was fresh veggies. The salmon was covered in herbs, spices and a ton of butter. It was to be my lean protein so I'm sure I took on a lot of calories and saturated fat from the butter. I got 3/4 into my salmon fillet before I hit very undercooked mushy fish. The grilled shrimp was soooo salty! It had a Thick coating of herbs and spices but there is such a thing called less is more. I tried to scrape off the seasoning and dip it in lemon juice. The green beans were most certainly from a can. I have been to a ton of restaurants that serve fresh green beans and none of those places ever resembled mess hall green beans like this place did. They tasted horrible. I took two bites and took the bowl off my plate. The baby carrots and broccoli were good though. Still had some crunch even though they were steamed. My friend got the skinny lime margarita and I tried some and that was the best! So crisp, citrusy and refreshing! I should have gotten one but I had already ordered an Angry Orchard. If I come back, I am definitely going to stay away from my west coast roots because the seafood was not the best. Will definitely have to try the ribs or steak. read more

I was up for a steak and came to Texas Roadhouse for a good portion of steak. I had the grilled shrimp and ribeye. The ribeye came out about a quarter inch thick. When I cut it open, it was well done instead of medium rare as I ordered it. So the server took it back and came back with one that's about 1/2" thick and it was cooked to my order. We got seated right away on a busy Sunday. Our server was wonderful and the food was very good. Loved the rolls with honey cinnamon butter. I had fried chicken with country gravy with mashed potatoes and salad. It was very good. We have TV's surrounding and could watch sports and other entertainment channels. Highly recommend. read more
