We ordered Chicken Fiesta via Doordash and enjoyed our meals. The chicken was delicious and very well seasoned and the rice was quite good as well. Hubby devoured the ribs. I used to LOVE steak but don't care for it so much anymore. I knew that Chicken Fiesta's steaks were super thin, tenderized like a Ponderosa Steakhouse (I'm showing my age) steak which appealed to me. A much smaller cheapola steak! ha! I got takeout since I didn't feel like eating inside. It was pretty good. I ordered a taco platter and a half chicken. The half chicken was really good, and I enjoyed the taco platter as well. I'm not a fan of their yellow sauce. I don't know the name of it, but I absolutely love their green sauce. It has a nice little spicy kick. Also not a huge fan of their beans. Great little Spanish fusion fast food place. My husband got the chicharrones which he loved and I got the steak chimichanga which was delicious. The tres leches was good, the cake itself was a rough texture and it didn't really hit the tres leches spot so I probably wouldn't get it again. It is close off of 95, the food came out fast, and it was fresh and tasty. We have come here a couple times, but we decided to sit inside and eat our meal there this time as a break from the road. The space was clean and service quick. Fountain sodas available (Pepsi products). I ordered the quarter rotisserie chicken. The chicken is juicy and the skin crispy. It also comes with a few dipping sauces which I like. The chicken is the star for sure. It is served with 2 sides and I selected fries and coleslaw. If you want a veggie side the options here are kinda limited. I have gotten the salad before and it's kinda sad (just basically lettuce). The coleslaw wasn't much better, it was very finely chopped and mostly mayonnaise. The fries were also just okay. Wedges aren't my favorite cut and they lacked seasoning. Dipping them in ketchup or the sauces from the chicken definitely helped. The meal is satisfying and a good fast option if you want something other than typical fast food on the road. read more

I've also got catering here, which is very affordable and you get a lot of food. Every time I've visited this location, it's very clean and the employees are very nice and friendly. New to town and was looking for something different. I saw this place not far from Walmart so I decided to give it a try. Upon walking in you see juicy chicken on this revolver just dripping all its goodness as it turns and cooks. There is plenty of options to try on the menu from chicken to steak to seafood. I decided to try the grilled chicken tacos with a side of chips and guacamole. They don't have salsa but the guacamole was really good. I also got a small horchata with my meal. The person who took my order was kind of to ask if I wanted my drink then or when I got my food since I did decide to sit down on the inside and eat. The tables were clean and it seemed like there's traffic that flows through pretty often but they keep it clean on the inside. I can say that these were probably the best grilled chicken tacos I have had in a long time. The chicken was so good and juicy. It was not dry at all and the rice with the garlic butter! So good. At first I was skeptical about putting the butter on the rice but once I did there was none left to take as left overs. I killed the whole plate of rice and beans while sitting down. My daughter absolutely loves eating at Chicken Fiesta and since we were in the area, she wanted me to try it out for myself. The amazing smell of the rotisserie chicken hit me as soon as I walked in. Chicken Fiesta offers tacos, burritos, salads, sandwiches and whole, half or quarter size rotisserie chicken. I decided on the Grilled Chicken Tacos Fiesta Platter which came with rice, beans and filling for the tacos. Thankfully, it didn't take very long for the food to be prepared and I was very pleased with how much food they provided. The grilled chicken was absolutely delicious. It was juicy, tender and flavorful. The platter came with two different sauces and I'm not sure what flavor they were but they were amazing on the tacos. The rice and beans were okay but I could have done without them. Right off the highway and with good reviews, we decided to stop in on a Tuesday evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu has a bit of everything, so it was hard to make up our minds. My partner got the chicken sandwich, which was super tasty and not short on chicken or grilled veggies. He also added an egg, which was an extra $1. I went for the fiesta burger, which had a good taste; I just wish they used ground meat versus a frozen patty. The sauce spread, lettuce, and ripe tomato were perfect for a burger. The steak fries were home made and not super greasy. The restaurant is super clean and there's plenty of parking out front. I got ribs/steak & double rice, and my family got beef taco salad and the soft taco platter. My steak was so thin. I was in shock when I opened the box, but I gave it a taste anyway. It was actually tasty & the ribs were DELICIOUS and tender. The rice was yellow with veggies in it. It was tasty too. My family's taco salad didn't have a good flavor to it. It was bland. Remember the year without a Santa Claus? I know, it's sounds random but bear with me. Santa had made a side trip to Petersburg, Virginia and he was hungry. Top-notch he mentioned to himself. "I must remember to add extra gifts to their stockings come Christmas time", he said under his breath with joyful glee. His food arrived and what a beautiful colorful array of food. This is Tex-Mex done right. And Tex-Mex in the heart of Virginia. Who would have guessed? I'm going to start this by telling you all how much I want to go back here. I mean, I'm dreaming about going back and trying to plan trips around it. I know it's a salad and yeah, sometimes that can seem a little boring (especially if you have a gluten allergy and it's basically all you get anywhere you go), but this was anything but boring. It pack a punch of flavor. The chicken was perfect. I seriously need to go back and eat this again. My husband got a burrito and said it was very good, definitely something to write home about and tell everyone you know about. My kids had the nachos and were equally as impressed. Ordering was quick and easy and the food was out SUPER fast (which initially made me a little concerned). My husband said the restaurant smelled so good (I'm sad I missed it) and was clean. Never underestimate the power of the sauce!!!! It's what keeps me coming back especially that bomb green sauce

I've been going to a chicken fiesta at one location or another since I moved to Richmond. For the most part, it has always been a 4 or 5 of 5 stars food experience. Sadly, the same can't be said of this visit. It wasn't on account of the people, they are always pleasant and account for 1 of the stars. My son's ribs with fries, also looked fine. He said the portion was the same as always and he was content. As a result, the second star. The fries were plentiful For the downside. The chicken burrito grande is nearly 9 dollars. The size of it was ok, the content and taste was off by a mile! I was able to account for maybe 5 small chunks of chicken, a little rice, little beans and cheese, then God knows what! The consistency was mushy and the taste was nothing! My wife ordered the steak quesadilla. I was taken back by how small it was! However, she said the taste was fine as usual. The final star. One of the things that draws me to Chicken Fiesta is the fried yucca. I love em so much, I ordered 3, two for me and one for the Mrs. The fry sized bag for the yuccas used to be filled beyond the brim. Today, they didn't fill even half the bag. On all previous visit, they were cut thickly to have a good fried to yucca interior. Today they were sliced more like fries and the taste was nearly absent. No star. Money is not abundant for most folks, so when you do invest in money to do so, you want to feel it was worth it. Sadly, today's $36 tab did not, and at least for the short term will impact our visiting Chicken Fiesta. read more

Chicken is good but not Northern Virginia Peruvian chicken good. But it hits the craving for the most part. The yucca fries are airy, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fries are also well done. DO NOT GET THE NACHOS. It is so disappointing. It is taco shells broken in half with rotisserie chicken, beans (makes the whole dish wet) and topped with what seems to be an excessive amount of cheese. It was one of those lunches where I can wish I ate something else instead, maybe even a taco lunch nachos supreme would have been better and cheaper. But I guess that is what I get for ordering nachos at a rotisserie chicken place. My advice, stay with the roasted chicken and the yucca - fries. read more
