A charmingly whimsical experience that is great for special dates or occasions. The exterior looks like a fairy tale and the inside is like a cozy piece of history. Tenderloin Bruschetta - 5/5, absolutely delicious. It seemed strange that the bread wasn't toasted, but the flavors were so good we didn't care. Tomato Bisque - 4/5, solid but unremarkable. Nothing against them, a tomato bisque is a tomato bisque. Filet/Ribeye - 4/5, the quality and the sear was great, but it was lacking any sauce. The server said "Chef" can make us some, which I was excited about but it was really brand. We did blind tests trying it with or without the sauce and we couldn't tell the difference. Even spooning it directly into my mouth, it didn't taste like anything. It was still a nice gesture to make us a sauce, but we were expecting something a bit more impactful - a red wine reduction, a garlic butter sauce, a béarnaise, or even a vinegar/Worcestershire/brown sugar/blah blah etc. would have been fine. I won't hold this against them though as it was impromptu and I realize some "fine diners" probably consider me a heathen for complaining about sauce on a high-quality steak. Dessert - 4/5, solid but unremarkable. Nothing against them. Ice cream is ice cream and a cheesecake is a cheesecake. Our server had great attitude and was diligent in her service. We visited this place for a birthday dinner for two. From the outside, the place gives romantic European architecture vibes. It was very nicely decorated with warm cozy lights throughout the property. On the inside the decor is a bit dated, and when we arrived we were the only young couple in the restaurant. Despite the older look, the place was charming and cozy. We were lucky to be seated next to a nice couple. However, I can see it being uncomfortable with the close proximity if you're not as lucky with your neighbor table. This is what lost them a star. Now for the food. It is delicious and highly recommended! Everything we had was so tasty. Dinner salad - fresh veggies and a different tangy dressing. Be warned you can really taste the champagne. Chicken dip - we still can't stop talking about how delicious this dip was. The texture is so smooth for being chicken and cauliflower. The bread was the perfect combination. Sirloin - the meat was cooked perfectly to temperature we ordered. The only picky thing with this plate is the sweet potato. While it was delicious we don't really enjoy sweet with our savory. Chicken - it was delicious. The mushroom risotto was so tasty we ended up ordering an extra side of it. Chocolate sundae - save room for dessert because it was fantastic! This venue was absolutely stunning! The lighting was absolutely incredible outside and so many opportunities for beautiful pictures! I'm beyond grateful to have had my wedding here! We enjoyed a beyond words, fantastic meal to celebrate Valentine's Day. Service, as it always is, was on point without being obtrusive. The menu was selected by the chef and was luxurious and decadent and delicious. We started with what I would call a deconstructed bruschetta. This just might change the way I make and prepare bruschetta for guests in my home. It was fresh and flavorful and provided the perfect bite. Next a warm and wonderful lobster bisque arrived at our table. It was silky smooth and filled with sweet bites of lobster. Along with the bisque we received a plate of warm dinner rolls. Those rolls disappeared quickly and we gladly accepted the offer of another serving. Next was a fresh salad with a light raspberry vinaigrette. If you only had the salad you'd be happy with nothing else. It's easy to mess up the balance of a vinaigrette but this was beautifully done. The main course was a filet mignon and lobster tail served with clarified butter, asparagus and mashed potatoes. At this point of the review I'm running out of adjectives and superlatives to describe the meal. The steak was a perfect medium just as I'd ordered it. The steak knife was completely unnecessary. I would say that the lobster tail was the cherry on top but dessert would serve that role. Dessert was a chocolate mousse with caramel sauce. I hope the picture tells it all, I'm just sorry you didn't get to taste it. We shared this holiday dinner with our best friends. We went here on a Friday evening for our (dating) anniversary. I was able to make reservations a couple days ahead online, so that was super convenient. The service was terrific! Never felt rushed. We were able to really look at the menu and discuss the options without feeling like we were keeping our waiter from something else. He was very attentive without being overbearing. We got crab cakes to start and holy jeez... so yummy! I chose the pot roast for my entree and it was fantastic! My wife chose the ribeye and asked for mashed potatoes instead of the risotto and veggies it normally comes with, and that was no problem to make that substitution. My boyfriend and I were invited to join my boyfriend's brother and wife for a "Paella on the Patio" dinner event and it was absolutely LOVELY! Very classy. It was held inside the Grand Hall instead of the patio because it was so hot. Champaign was served during social hour, followed by a 5 course meal, with each course perfectly paired with a Spanish wine. Chef David prepared the paella at the front of the hall, "Live", and gave us information about the ingredients. Details about each wine was given as it was presented. The servers were all wonderful and so nice. The atmosphere was romantic - it felt like we were transported to a European castle. The food and wine were excellent. The price was what was to be expected for this type of fine dining. Bottles of wine served during dinner, may be purchased too. The grounds are beautiful! There are a few different dining options in addition to the Grand Hall (for larger events). It is definitely worth checking out! Full disclosure. This review is solely based on catering service in the large event center (Grand Hall) from Castle Falls. I did verify that the restaurant side does in fact cater to the Hall events before writing this review. In all fairness we have eaten in the restaurant many times and the food has always been excellent. The hall itself and the service were both very accommodating otherwise this rating may have been a 1 star. Okay on to the purpose for the low rating. THE FOOD Unacceptable. Starting with the appetizers. The shrimp was pungent with fish smell to the point we were warned off of it by other guests. We heeded that warning so I can not actually speak to the taste but I witnessed another guest spit it out upon biting into it. The main course was chicken and beef tips( or what resembled chunks of beef left over from roast trimmings) Either way they were both chewy, bland, and the chicken was stringy. In to dessert, cheesecake. The discussion became where it came from. The conclusion was a low end grocery store that barely edged out a hospital cafeteria. I went into last night with high expectations from my in restaurant experiences and left more disappointed than any experience I have ever had with catering. Also I let the restaurant know this review is coming because I know they don't want it either. I'm a little torn on this one. I feel like the stars could be more if perhaps we were seated in a different area of the castle. The food was good, but when you plan on eating dinner at a castle, you expect to see the castle. As we walked up to the restaurant, the outside was just gorgeous, but as we walked in, there was a black curtain blocking off any views of other areas. We were then guided to the left to a very tiny room to be seated at our table. In fact, there were several mirrors on the walls to give the illusion that the room was bigger. There were no windows or views of the beautiful outside grounds. I felt a little claustrophobic and confined to be absolutely honest. We did ask about seeing the rest of the castle but was told that tours could only happen for the first reservation of the night and the last reservation of the night. I do understand this, as the staff was already very busy. I think it may be helpful to have seating in a more open area with windows and where people can get the feel of the castle. The food was good. Our meal began with the asparagus soup, which we really enjoyed. Then, there was the smoked salmon salad, which was okay. I feel like this salad could have had more flavor, especially with the salmon. Then, there was the main course which was beef tenderloin, truffled parmesan mashed potatoes and a smoked portobello mushroom. The main course was very good! I would order it again in a heartbeat. We also enjoyed the dark chocolate mousse with raspberry compote for dessert. Like I said, the food was good. Service was also very good. We never wanted for anything or were kept waiting. I just think one goes to a place like this not only for the food, but also for the experience and ambiance. The food was spot on, the service workers were desperately trying. The ambiance would have been very nice if the kitchen had cooperated with the service. The kitchen was missing, we waited for an hour for our entree and then, out of discomfort, decided to leave. The front of the house had everything ready to go home, the dining room was empty and we were the only ones there...still no entree (our fresh made bread never showed up)! We requested our check and the front of the house staff apologized and said they would cover us. We thanked them and began to leave. Running after us, the manager asked us to wait while he bagged our entrees, they were finally ready. We waited while he bagged our entrees and he again stated that this was not the norm. We ate at home, the food was yummy (except the fact that my husband ordered scalloped potatoes and got mashed. I ordered blue cheese on my filet but didn't get it. Lastly I asked for mushrooms with my filet and was told I could only get mushrooms in risotto. I then asked for a brown sauce on the filet instead of hollandaise. The chef said nope. FYI, this restaurant is in the east side of the road. I had a reservation for one and when they called to confirm, they also confirmed that. "Open Table has you down for a reservation for one, and that's not right is it?" Yes it is. They brought us out fresh bread. It was really a freshly gayer roll such as Sister Schubert's from Sam's Club sprinkled with basil. This is not a fresh roll imo. I ordered the Mediterranean Sea Bass Special. Please don't. It was supposed to be stuffed with crawfish, and there was a bit of crawfish hiding in a crawfish cake between two slices of OVERCOOKED Mediterranean Sea bass. And it comes with an aioli sauce. Why wasn't I told about the aioli? (One of the things I detest?) Why wasn't the sea bass cooked correctly? And what was that nasty crawfish cake!? (Apparently it was crawfish stuffing). The pan seared broccoli was literally the best part of the meal. This is a total waste of my $40! At least my dogs aren't picky! Yes I fed my leftovers to my dogs. Actually, I gave my meal to my dogs since I didn't like it. A nice woman (at the time) asked me if my meal was alright and I said "yea, sure," with a not-so-good voice. She apparently believed me. I do love the ambience. It's lovely. The music was nice and relaxing. 40s slow dancing. Good trumpet. Note: after I posted this review (which I wrote sitting at the restaurant) I was confronted by the cook (chef). I didn't want my Sea bass too spicy and do he had accommodated me. So i didn't get the exact dish and it was apparently my fault. I asked him if the sea bass being overcooked was my fault. I asked him if the sea bass being overcooked was affected by the fish not being blackened. The answer was no. I asked him if the crawfish cake thing would have been different if I had had it blackened. Yea no, Then he told me my meal was comped and walked away. I was quite mortified by this exchange. Then he returned with a birthday ice cream which was very nice. He said he'd already had this planned. Then the woman from earlier approached me. She informed me that this was her livelihood. As I was leaving this same woman approached me and told me she was a woman owner of the business. She told me not to return to the restaurant since I hadn't been forthcoming when I told her the food was okay. I told her I wasn't trying to get my meal comped, I was writing the review as I see it. She told me it was comped because she doesn't want me back in her restaurant. Then she repeated that I shouldn't return. I don't write reviews to please people. I write the truth as I see it. Oh, and I wouldn't have returned. But I felt like this was very unprofessional. I did learn not to post reviews until I leave a restaurant though. Answer to Owner: yes, I was asked by you and the waiter if everything was alright. Two bites in by the waiter to be specific. I don't want my meal comped. I don't want to feel put on the spot and complain. Actually that shows I'm not an unhappy person outside of being rudely confronted in a restaurant. I'm generally a happy customer; over 75% of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars. You say that the other customers thought I must be an unhappy person, but what were they to think when I was confronted by the chef in front of the other customers? I would give it 3.5 stars based on my experience, I rounded up rather than down. This place has a cool atmosphere and ambiance. We were sat on the second floor after a short wait. This was the Valentine's Day meal which was the only choice for this given day. It was a five course meal for a set price of that included tax of $141 each. We booked it on open table and pre paid for the meal. It was non refundable obviously since pre payment was required. To me the bang for the buck just wasn't there. The service was fine, the wine choices were minimal especially on the higher end, 4 of the 5 courses were good but the one that wasn't was the main course. I will explain more as I go through the courses. 1st course was tomato's, Pine nuts, basil pesto, shaved Parmesan, balsamic all on a crispy baguette. It had good flavors and was a nice way to start. Second course was lobster bisque. It was thick, rich, and creamy with several pieces of meat in it. Was really good. Third course was strawberry salad with raspberry vinaigrette. I enjoyed this salad the dressing was a little sweet but in was left wanting more of this. Fourth course was where the meal went off the rails for me. Petite filet (understatement this was such a small filet it was about five bites, the steak was cooked well. This wasn't what I expect when spending $140 for the meal. The scalloped potato's had a sauce I didn't like and had never had scalloped potatoes with a brown gravy like sauce. I just didn't like the flavor. The Ratatouille as well I just wasn't a fan of it. So I was looking forward to the lobster tail. Well... most of my lobster tail was mushy and honestly I hate that texture and it scares me to eat lobster that has that texture because it concerns me on the proper cooking of the tail. I did eat most of it and it seemed to be cooked properly but something wasn't quite right to have that much slimy/mushy texture. The main course was a huge disappointment unfortunately. Fifth course was chocolate mousse with berry compote and whip cream. Overall we enjoyed the overall experience. I wasn't impressed with the meal at the price we paid and so I would go elsewhere in the future many better choices but it's sometimes nice to try new places. Well, this was our go to spot for special occasions, or just a weekend date... I'm not sure if all the new faces have anything to do with the horrible service or the bland food, but something is definitely wrong. It's a set menu tonight, like it is most nights for special occasions. Lobster, filet scalloped potatoes, asparagus ratatouille with lemon and butter... sounds awesome right? Nope... I think the Chef, and I use that term loosely, forgot the salt n pepper shaker at home, but definitely remembered the extremely overly pungent goat cheese (that nasty stuff was in everything! ) The meal had 5 courses. App; wild mushroom and candied onion bruschetta- this was obviously made a few hours before we arrived. The bread wasn't toasted and was soggy from the microwaved mushroom mix added to the top. The soup- an extremely fishy lobster bisque, bland with no seasoning, and has an awful fishy aftertaste. A soup that traditionally comes with bread or a puff pastry square on top, came with a store bought hard as a rock crouton... salad- "fresh winter greens" -um no.. goat cheese... again... with store bought, from a bag spring mix, no dressing.. the strawberries were good.. The entree- filet with lobster tail, asparagus ratatouille, scalloped potatoes... geeze with the freakin goat cheese again! The filet was a 2-3oz perfectly prepared beautiful seared steak. Unfortunately it was left in the "hey I'm done take me to my table " spot for long enough to get cold. Not cool, cold. When we finally seen our waitress and she ask how it was, I said it's cold... she said ok and walked off! (One of 2 times she came to the table within a 60 minute time span.) ** other staff delivered our food, I ask other waitresses to get butter, salt, pepper and drinks...* the lobster ... again, if your going to attempt a butter poached lobster, please for the love of god don't use a store bought frozen one! It turns to rubber regardless of how well you think you did! The scalloped potatoes were so full of rotten goat cheese it was inedible. Same with the asparagus ratatouille, no seasoning, everything was cold... but they sure didn't mind taking my $272! Well, I must confess that price includes a $35 bottle of wine... the same wine I bought last week for $14.99 at Walmart... to cook with.... ugg. Ok. Let's sum it up. This used to be my place, now due to the poor quality of food, the absolute lack of detail in the food prep and plating, and service that reflects a Waffle House at 2am when you take home the last fat girl left in the bar but need to sober up a bit before you go home and completely disrespect yourself... needless to say, I won't be back. I'm terribly disappointed. You know, If Trey was still here the experience would be 100% better.. if the food was horrible he would've made the experience better! Ok.... let me clarify a few things after the response from the owner.. Our waitress only came to our table twice... literally twice. I had to ask other staff for refills, ask other staff to clear the plates stacked up on our table, ask other staff for bread, and ask other staff why a table that was sat 30 minutes after us were finished with their meal and we hadn't even received salads yet. The food was cold, it was bland, it wasn't worth the price they charged. You can clearly see the grease in the plate, clearly see the seeds left in the lemon, clearly see the pre-frozen lobster tail that was rubbery... instead of making excuses, maybe take some responsibility of the poor staff choice and have the chef taste the food before it's sent out. Have the waitstaff check on their tables instead of gathering in a group and talking. Have the waitstaff take out food when it's ready instead of sitting in the window and dying... on steak and lobster the time from in the window to the table should be no more than 2 minutes. After that it's dead and shouldn't be served. Don't mark up wine 200%, have the waitstaff pre-bus the tables... it really is simple to address these issues. It's better than making an excuse. .....PS. every plate they picked up from our table had between 45% and 80% food left on the plate. Nothing was said during the meal in fear of retribution on the next course and our so-called experienced waitress couldn't be bothered to ask why there was so much food left or if the food was okay. read more

If this rating was based on service I would give this establishment a five star however the reason for the three stars would ultimately be because of the food. I realize my husband and I may be on the pickie side of the food university but our entree was very salty we just couldn't finish it. I'll start from the beginning. We were seated immediately which was excellent since we had reservations and the atmosphere was fine but I was expecting a more romantic feel. The host brought some sour bread and butter and filled our water. Wine per glass is about $6 and they have their house merlot, Pinot etc. we got the special appetizer which was poached salmon on those toasted bread points which was good. I got the chicken herm something and my husband got the prince something pork. The meat itself was very well cooked but the sauce on top of both was extremely salty. We tried to eat it with the sour bread but ultimately we gave up. We took the pork Togo because I think our waitress figured out we didn't like the food and we honestly was not in the mood to argue. I don't see us coming back to this establishment though. It wasn't a very exciting birthday dinner and usually when it's a special occasion a restaurant usually gives us a small dessert but not this one I guess. read more

This could be the coolest restaurant in okc. Could. The grounds are exquisite, the architecture grand, but then you go inside. The first floor is the only part we experienced, so I can only review that part of the experience. The ambiance as you pass through the front door immediately shifts from grandeur to clumsily cramped. The decor is somewhere between rustic cottage and cheep Italian restaurant, but it was quirky and the staff was warm and friendly. The expectations continued to shift after we were seated. Taking in the surroundings, the energy of the place suggests cheesy murder mystery dinner and lack-luster big lots furnished backdrop. And the wait staff, though very friendly, is understaffed and poorly trained. Ultimately, there has been no significant upgrades or reinvestment into the the building, the staff, or the management of the establishment in at least 20 years. We went for an experience and we certainly found one, though queer and unpleasant. We became so uncomfortable after and hour and a half, we requested our dinner to be boxed and took it home. The filet was delightful, but sadly the sea bass was tough and overcooked. Although, my German Shepard didn't seem to mind at all. read more

We came to Castle Falls the Saturday before Valentine's Day. They had a preset 5 course menu for this date and we paid when making the reservation. The outside is beautiful. I was not impressed with the entry area but we were taken upstairs to a dinning room which was more attractive and had a romantic ambiance. The service was good considering how busy it was being Valentine's Day. The first course was a bruschetta appetizer. The second was lobster bisque. The third was a strawberry and mixed green salad. The first three courses were excellent and I wouldn't change anything. I really enjoyed the salad and that was probably my favorite course. Fresh mixed greens, sliced strawberries, mild feta cheese, toasted almond slivers, and berry vinaigrette. It was a perfect combination. I would come back for that salad. The fourth course was the main course, with beef filet with red wine reduction sauce, lobster tail, asparagus ratatouille, and scallop potatoes. The beef filet was very tiny, but well cooked and seasoned. The lobster was okay. I did not care for the asparagus. The cooking method gave it a brownish color and it was hidden under the lobster tail. I think lightly steamed, bright green asparagus spears would have tasted better and been more attractive on the plate. The scallop potatoes were a bit salty but okay. The desert was a thick chocolate mousse with a berry sauce and whipped cream. It was so rich I could only eat a few bites. The desert did not look very attractive and while the mousse was delicious, the dish could use an element of texture, something crunchy. Overall, this is a good restaurant but not amazing. It is nice to support a restaurant that is unique to Oklahoma and not a chain. This is not a trendy place, very old-school. The venue was perfect for my son and new daughter-in-law's wedding. We had approximately 150 guests and everyone was well taken care of. This facility beautifully comes together as an upscale 5-star restaurant, lovely landscaped outdoor area for large groups and a charming Grand Hall for indoor festivities. You can really have it all using this venue. The owner, Amy Rollins, is so accommodating and is such a pleasure to work with. The chef, David Sullivan, is incredible as we used the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner, and he also prepared the wedding buffet. The food was delicious and was beautifully presented. Such a great restaurant! I had the Beef Stroganoff which had onions, peppers, and a German Spaetzle (pasta). Charity had the pork tenderloin with truffle oil mashed potatoes and asparagus. We also had a sparkling moscato and spinach and garlic dip. So great and would be a great date night spot. 5 stars. read more

My family has been dining here for many, many years now, and few places are as special to us. It's perfect not only for casual suppers with family and friends, but also for engagement parties, weddings, confirmations, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs (well, unless you keep kosher, that is!), anniversaries, important business meetings, and other special events. (There's even an entire selection of event menus you can choose from in advance.) Terrific ambience and (consistently) friendly, helpful service. (Marshall is our personal favorite, yes, but we've never had bad service here with ANY server and, again, we've dined here for years now.) Our last dinner? I had the Charcuterie Platter while Hubs had the sea bass. (We tend to share a bit, and this dinner was no different.) Both the platter and the bass were top notch, too -- something I've come to expect from Castle Falls. My only problem with this place? So, my wife and I have eaten here a few times before and we have always enjoyed the food and environment. But on 2/11/2022 we came and the meat was grilled too high and was really charred/burnt and had way too much salt and the scalloped potatoes had too much garlic and salt. Inedible. Wife couldn't eat hers and my meat was redone, but the potatoes were still salty/garlicky. Very disappointed. The waitress was amazing. The food this time was terrible. read more

She lives out of state but grew up in Norman. She has nothing but NICE things to say about this venue! And when she took me to look over the venue with her.
