Shelly, our server, was the absolute best! So friendly, humorous, and kind!! Food was great! I got a Guinness (I know, not German) and the bratwurst with a shared duck fries appetizer!! Everyone I went with enjoyed their meal. I tried a bite of the Schnitzel and Meatloaf, both tasted wonderful!!

I really enjoyed my time at this place, and I think it could be a great spot for anyone looking to hang out with friends or family. It has a fun and inviting atmosphere, almost like a small play area amidst a bustling city. They recently celebrated an event at Oktoberfest, which added a lovely touch to the decor, and I had a nice experience sampling one of their beers. However, I do want to mention that their selection of IPAs is somewhat limited, which might be a bit disappointing for some. Unfortunately, I noticed that they don't offer many vegetarian options. If you're a vegetarian, you might find it challenging to find something to eat. One of my friends ordered fries, but they were prepared with duck oil, so that option wouldn't work for vegetarians either. If you're planning a visit, it might be wise to have a light meal beforehand, as the only vegetarian dish available seemed to be a small salad priced at around $10. Still, if you're someone who enjoys beer or a lively atmosphere, this could be a good place to unwind and enjoy some quality time with friends. also talking about service, the server is not experienced so he wasn't very good at helping us.

Great service, price, food, and atmosphere. The schnitzel tasted good and authentic. Dad said the beer tasted like German beer, overall a very nice price and experience

Let me start off by saying without this one employee I would've gave this five stars! Down at dust bowl everybody is always so kind and welcoming, and I love you guys's happy hour. But this one employee made me want to give you guys a one star but I just can't do it. I literally love giving small business businesses great reviews. I love building our community. I asked a bartender in Fasslers if he had a cold glass, I could pour a beer into. When he didn't have one I made a comment about it being a little early. I was totally just teasing. He began to tell me how rude I was. And just gave me endless attitude until we left.. bro, it was just a question about a cold glass you didn't have to comment on how we were drinking a little early. I mean, we are spending money in your establishment. Thanks, Sawyer. But I will still give you guys four stars because everybody else was so polite specially the bartenders down at the dust bowl.

THE BIG: German Beer Hall located in the heart of downtown OKC. Indoor and outdoor table benches available with TVs adorning the bar and exterior. Plenty of street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came with my high school friend that I haven't seen in two years and we tore this place up! It was choose your own table and seat, while the waiters were very quick to bring menus and water. We were starving and ordered the sausage combo which came with three sausages. They make all of their sausages in house and they were good. I had one sausage that was very dry that kind of put me off. For other apps, we got the giant pretzel with mustard and cheese dipping sauce. Then a side of fries, which turned out to be an entire tray. We also got their beers, which is great and reminded me of Germany. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall damage done was around $100 for quite the feast. I'm low key scared of what the regular fries are if the size of the side fries was an entire tray.

Well designed and fun German inspired beer/food hall near downtown OKC. Also has another location in downtown Tulsa. We went for brunch on a Saturday morning before it got too busy. Plenty of tables inside and outside for large groups. We got the Duck Fat Fries, Chicken Biscuits and Gravy, and Chili Cheese Dog, all of which came in huge sharable portion sizes. Draft beer lineup is very impressive and comes in half liter pours and full liter pours in glass steins. They also have a full bar well equipped with various spirits, cocktails, wine, canned/bottled beers/seltzers/non-alcoholic beers, and mocktails. Overall, the venue was absolutely a very cool place to visit!

The employees were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. What else is needed for a restaurant review to achieve the 85 character minimum to post a review for crying out loud.

Fabulous food, inventive drinks and great service and atmosphere here. The big pretzel is a must to share as an appetizer and the beer cheese that comes with it is out of this world good. I've never had better sauerkraut or mustard than what I tried here and I honestly can't wait to come back. The brat sampler is a great way to get a taste of various flavors and the portions here are large and shareable. I went with a group and we all loved our drinks. I'm especially appreciative of the gin options in their cocktails since that is my favorite spirit. We were even able to bring our baby with us too since we went before 7pm. Well done, Fassler Hall!

Man the vibe of Fassler Hall is so on point! Especially now that they've transformed into "Thunder Hall" for the playoffs! Loved the pretzel, mocktail, and schnitzel dinner. And my fiancé really enjoyed his sausage! Only thing to note is that the customer service was a bit lacking but it makes sense since it was a busy afternoon on a Sunday day.

The food and the beer was really good, highly recommend the chicken schnitzel dinner, wish they had more authentic German food but it was good over all, recommend to try their Oktoberfest beer selection

Needed to kill time before meeting up with friends in the area! Had a great time enjoying these appetizers with a beer. Great venue, likable staff, and incredible food. Great sauces as well!!

AMAZING food. On my 2nd visit and it's even better than the last. Beer selection and food was delicious. Absolutely loved the schnitzel and spätzle. The pretzel bread pudding was the best bread pudding I've ever had. Haven was a great server!

Love it. Massive space, so it's quite good for big groups. I love German beer!!!! I love their chili cheese dog. I love their fries. I LOVE their pretzel bread pudding. They also have Pie Junkie slices which is iconic. Bartenders are generally friendly and efficient, and they usually have servers coming around regularly taking orders as well. My only complaints are that parking can be a bit tough, and the German nachos are very not good.

I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.
