It was just as good, and I love that they let you customize your meal to fit what you're in the mood for. Every table was dirty with food from the previous customer. After we received our warm food in our little plastic bowls, we went to get napkins, but there were none so we asked the cashier that there were no napkins and he said "we're really shorthanded today, half hour staff went back to college". OK then that must've been a surprise for them to know that college students return to school in mid August. Not to worry about hiring replacements in early August to keep their services running smoothly. Napkins were replaced by a roll of paper towels set on the counter. The service was quite slow from the beginning, as I waited over 10 minutes for my initial drink and also experienced a long delay when asking for a refill.When the meal arrived, there were a few issues:The bread was cold and did not arrive ahead of the meal.The portion sizes felt small for the price point.The grilled shrimp were unfortunately burnt.The coconut shrimp were overcooked and dry.The most disappointing part was how the issue was handled. Because the waiter didn't check back on the table until I had already finished the rest of my meal, I asked to have the burnt grilled shrimp removed from the bill. Even though the dish cost $25, the waiter informed me they could only offer a $2.50 credit.While the staff was polite, offering such a small credit for an un-eatable main dish didn't feel right. I hope management can work on better quality control in the kitchen and more flexible service policies in the future.
