I go to chicken planet at least a couple times a month. Fast, fresh and tasty chicken grilled chicken quarters. I go with the 1/4 or 1/2 white meat, depending on how hungry I am and I get the side of rice and 2 pitas. The BBQ sauce is they offer is tangy, I think it might actually be Open Pit which I really like. They also have a salsa which is also good for dipping both the chicken and the pita. This is a great lunch spot although there is very limited seating depending on what time you go you may have to take it to go which most people do anyway. read more

As it turns out, when the only thing you do is roast chickens on the grill all day long, you tend to do it really, really well. I got half a chicken, dark meat, because YOLO. Also dark meat doesn't dry out as easily. On the side I got rice and a drink. Maybe the thighs were a *hair* overcooked, but overall this is grilled roast chicken as it ought to be: warm, moist, spicy crispy skin, and ready literally before I was done paying for the meal. The rice pilaf was excellent, seasoned well and uniformly tender. The chicken meat was exceptionally tender. And the price, at about $8 tax included, is perfect. I always get a half chicken for myself because they are relatively small chickens and they are so good that a quarter will not satisfy your craving. Food is as good as the Jackson location where I usually order a half chicken, with a side of their very tasty rice. It's not aesthetic at all and there's barely any seating and it's more a guys restaurant but I absolutely love this place. The chicken is soooo good and soooo inexpensive.
