First time checking out Chicken Ranch Casino resort this past weekend, and we had a pretty good time! When you arrive, it's good to know that its split into two buildings. The GPS took us to the old building which has a casino and bingo hall. We parked here but ended up taking the shuttle to the brand new building which was located just a couple minute drive away. If your goal is to spend your time in the new building, there's plenty of parking down on the lower lot. We signed up for the players club which came with $10 in free play, which got used up pretty quick. They have a ton of slots and a handful of card tables. The lowest minimum I saw for blackjack was $15, and definitely the most popular of the blackjack tables. I spent most of my time on the slots and while I started off hot, the casino always wins in the end lol. I racked up enough player points to get a free bluetooth speaker, which was pretty cool! The slots I had the best luck on was the Top Dollar and Huff n Puff machines. Everything else was no good for me. The Casino floor isn't huge by any stretch but does what it needs to do. They have a few restaurants on-site. The 209 sports bar was the busiest and one of the only spots to watch sports and eat. The bar on the 3rd floor had live music after 9pm and was pretty lively. I was low key very surprised at how busy it was. Overall, solid spot to get your casino fix that just so happened to be a short drive from where we are staying. Next time I'm feeling the urge to win, I definitely wouldn't hesitate spending more time here. read more

The hotel is amazing!!! The rooms are new and beautifully done. The beds are comfy and they provide a coffee machine in your room with plenty of coffee pods. Super clean and will definitely stay here instead of Black Oak Hotel. Sooo much nicer. We also ate in the restaurant which could really use some help, food was unappetizing. The main bar in the casino was awesome! Drinks were half the price of Black Oak. The bartender was super friendly and quick to get our next round. Love this place and will be back! read more

Friends of ours suggested a visit to check out Chicken Ranch Casino Resort and we agreed to make a day of it. While we had driven past the resort a few times previously, we did not realize how large it was until we approached the building. Even though it was a Saturday, we didn't have difficulty finding a parking spot since it was early in the day. We entered the building and were surprised by how clean everything appeared. We were also so pleased that there is no smoking allowed inside the casino or restaurants. As someone who is super sensitive to smoke, this was a welcome surprise. We had lunch at the 209 sports grill and enjoyed our meals. Most of our party were in the mood to try their hands at the slot machines. My husband and I decided to explore the casino instead and ventured up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. At the Perch restaurant on the3rd floor we were astonished at the amazing panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Breathtaking! We made our way back to our friends and decided to check out the speakeasy. It was pretty small and we felt that the space could have been utilized more efficiently. There were very few seats. Despite the limited seating, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun libations. After dinner at the same sports bar we headed home. It was a fun-filled day and we will be back! read more

Alright! After my third trip down to chicken ranch casino I thought I'd finally give it a review. I have hit multiple casinos in Northern California. First off chicken ranch casino is clean! There's no debating that. Clean and easy to get around with part of that due to it being on the smaller end in terms of gaming floor size. Newer slot machines make it enjoyable however it's not perfect. If you are coming for slots and only slots then sure, good place to gamble. I tend to lean more towards the table games and there's not many to pick from. There is about 10 tables with only 4 being open. 2 of the tables are blackjack. Absolutely no craps tables besides the digital craps which runs on a random number generator. Personally I felt I ran into more drunk people at the tables here at chicken ranch than other casinos in California. Typically not the best time when you have someone cursing up a storm at the tables and betting table minimum with no option to move tables. Also due to the limited seating if you come with a group of friends, you most likely won't all be able to play at the tables together. Perhaps opening or changing some tables on the floor to blackjack with hirer minimum bets to limit this and give others an opportunity to game peacefully. As for bingo... this has to be the best thing they offer! Surprisingly fun and right next to the old (reopened) chicken ranch. No tables at the old chicken ranch but they had a virtual blackjack, again not a fan of the virtual stuff. Food options are there such as whalburger and another restaurant I saw on the gaming floor. This was very much well anticipated visit to the chicken ranch. Passed by this location as they were preparing to do their opening day and I waited until this weekend to g. It's about a hundred mile drive for me so I was hoping it was worth it. I didn't win anything but I appreciate the couple of dollars of free play they gave for signing up for a card. Came out with the girls for an early outing for Mother's Day, Chicken Ranch Casino sounded so funny to us but surprisingly it came out to be looking real fancy schmancy inside. I guess it was a remodel but they did well because it was nice inside. Funny they give you a new player squeaky chicken toy at the players club when you sign on and a free $10 play. I played enough points to get a Bluetooth speaker and food comp which I spent at their Wahlburgers restaurant which actually was really good for trying them the first time. 4 of us spent the weekend at the Chicken Ranch Casino resort in Jamestown. we were fortunate enough to stay in the Mother Plucker suite on the 8th floor. it was very nice: actually a little bit larger than our house. 2 beds and 2 and 1/2 baths the restauraunts - TWLV and the Wahlburger joint were both great for food and hanging out. the casino was on the smaller side but the reward program was easy and i was able to get the first reward -bluetooth speak within 2 days of very modest gambling. check in an out was very smooth. the valet and the bellhops were friendly and efficient. we would stay here again read more

They have a super big problem with couples using the same card. I get it with tweekers and scammers trying to scam the place. My husband and I discussed this reason, trying to make sense of what happened. But when you have a 68yr old husband and 61 yr old wife gambling, eating, tipping really well to valet, waitresses and others you may tell security to calm down. Overkill is the word. First night my husband was gambling really early morning (he likes that it's quiet) and he was approached very rudely by security. First thing she says is "I need to see your ID". My husband said she was rude and offensive. That evening he and I played together for 4.5 hrs and then went upstairs around 8PM. He went back down first and unfortunately, I feel asleep before I could go back down. He came back up maybe an hour later and next thing we know security is at our door asking for him. They said because he was warned before that we must vacate the premises and check out a day early!!! The next morning. They said they we're being nice and not making us leave right then at 11:30PM. He was also banned for 30 days!! My husband is amazing at being polite and knows how to be respectful to authority, so the interaction wasn't heated. Me on the other hand have been traumatized by this whole experience! We had plans that day we had to leave and this made us cut our mini vacation short. At this point I never want to return and will let our family and friends know how we were treated. The front desk wasn't even informed we had to check out early and they seemed sorry to see us go and sympathetic. This wasn't our first visit, but it will be our last. read more

Over all nice casino and had no parking issues. They also have valet parking. The casino floor is nice, new and clean but it seems small gambling / slot area for how big the place is. The chairs at the slot machines are heavy and hard to move. They don't slide well on the carpet and hard to move forward once you sit down. Some areas are a little tight if you have a walker or wheelchair. I think, they offer complementary sodas if you're gambling but never have any employees ask me if I wanted or need a drink. No smoking inside, outside patio area for smokers. They carry Pepsi soda though the casino ( personally don't care for Pepsi, I'm a Coke drinker) The hotel is nice but no electricity outlets near the bed, only behind the nightstand. The night stand has USB on the lamps. My husband must have an electric outlet near the bed due to medical reasons/ equipment. We got a room with a patio, it had 2 patio chairs and a small table. The TV in the room was internet TV and super slow loading channels and TV guide. The slot machines seem to be the same machines though out the casino. The popular machines were very limited and someone always playing them. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. The players club area employees were great and friendly. New members get a rubber chicken & free play cash (on club card). Some restaurants could use improvement on the food and customer service. (Yelp restaurants individually). read more

This time we drove up for their hotel and restaurants. We recommend their restaurant called twelve and we had a nice room with a balcony as well. Checked out Chicken Ranch Casino Resort after hiking in the Eastern Sierra Sun 7/27/25. Parked in one of the first open parking lot and took elevator into the casino. Bathrooms on 1st floor to the right of the hotel check-in. It's large, bright, loud in the casino area. There's at least 3 restaurants to eat at. Tried to go to the restaurant with burgers, steak, pasta but they made us wait and we wanted to eat. Then went to look for Wahlburger, think it was 2nd Fl, far left. If you want Free 12oz bottle water you have to get it at the bar, the cage looking area in the center. We asked for tap water at Wahlburger and they told us, if u want a cup there it's $2.95. Got an Our Burger the small single patty one, was over $11+ after tax. Tasted better after lots of ketchup and mustard. We thought it was a nice stop, probably don't need to go back since we don't gamble. read more

I have sent this email over the course of the past few weeks with no response so here is my very summarized experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. What started as an amazing girls' getaway quickly turned into one of the most humiliating customer service experiences I've ever had. The pool staff and daytime employees were fantastic, and we were already planning to return regularly. Unfortunately, everything changed that evening. After having only two drinks over several hours, I was suddenly cut off with no explanation. I repeatedly asked what I had done to justify the decision, but no one could give me a straight answer. Instead, I was told things like "management decided" and "they are watching." Hours later, management claimed there was a "2-drink maximum," yet multiple employees had never even heard of that policy. Meanwhile, my friend was served a third drink, and we watched other guests who appeared far more intoxicated continue to be served. The issue was never about being denied a drink. It was about how we were treated afterward. For hours, we were made to feel like criminals. We were constantly told we were being watched. After we went to our room to change clothes and returned ordering only water and iced tea, a manager confronted us and said, "Did you really think you could change your clothes and we wouldn't notice?" and "Aren't you supposed to be in your room?" Those comments were unprofessional, demeaning, and completely unacceptable. We were respectful the entire night and caused no disturbance whatsoever. We waited until 1:00 a.m. to speak with upper management, only to receive inconsistent explanations and no accountability. The most unbelievable part? After refusing to serve me all night because they supposedly believed I was intoxicated, management ended the conversation by telling us we were welcome to go get another drink--but it was last call. That alone proves how poorly this entire situation was handled. This wasn't responsible alcohol service. It was inconsistent enforcement, poor communication, and the public humiliation of paying guests. Because of this experience, you've lost not only our business but also that of several friends and family members. One friend has already canceled a hotel reservation for an upcoming wedding, and others in the wedding party are now reconsidering staying here after hearing how we were treated. Chicken Ranch Casino had every opportunity to resolve this professionally. Instead, management chose to dismiss our concerns and make paying guests feel unwelcome. I cannot recommend staying here until there is accountability and significant improvement in how customers are treated. read more

We had been waiting like 2 years for Chicken Ranch to open and we were finally able to visit today! Smoking is not allowed inside, so it was nice not to have to walk through a cloud of smoke. We took our daughter straight to the arcade where they had lots of different games and great prizes - staff was super nice too! It was super clean inside with lots of hand sanitizer stations throughout. The casino is massive with a hotel and a parking garage. I saw a huge bar in the middle of the casino and even a sports bar! They had different restaurants like Wahlburgers as well! We didn't visit everything so I'm sure there was much more to see! We gambled on the slot machines, but only one of us took home money unfortunately. Casino was clean and spacious and we'll definitely be back! Small casino, nothing spectacular about this place. Although the art work caught my eye. Nothing else really stands out. I did lose my cell phone, which reminds me, never use the charging mechanism on the slot machine. Soon as I realized this I headed over to the receptionist desk. The ladies there where talking amongst themselves until I walked up to ask for a lost and found, both of them immediately picked up their desk phones and I'm pretty sure pretended to speak to someone In order to blow me off. I was able to locate security with none of their assistance, as soon as I walked away they both ended their calls. The Resort is beautiful. Unlike other Casinos, this one is filled with so many windows so you can see the beautiful view. They have quite a few food outlets. I am a frequent flyer of their restaurants. From their coffee shop to their 3 meal all are delicious. They have beautiful hotel rooms, the beds are so comfortable. All the artwork is amazing. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of my favorite art piece. Their pool is a large egg shape, perfect for their chicken theme. They are always having exciting events and promotions. I would definitely reccomend this place. They have entertainment and not just gaming. They have live music at their rooftop restaurant on Sundays as well as some live bands on their ballroom. They have also hosted boxing and MMA events. The staff is extremely friendly and treat you like family. And they are so hospitable - with all the current wildfires they are offering evacuees free rooms as well as offering parking garage for those who have RVs or Trailers. Chicken Ranch Resort & Casino is a brand-new property, and it definitely has that "wow" factor when you pull up. It's right off the main road, super modern and elegant-looking, with plenty of parking options garage, outdoor, and valet (which is complimentary if you're a hotel guest). We stayed four nights while working in the area, and the rooms were reasonably priced, modern, and comfortable. The hotel and casino have a ton of amenities: a kids' arcade, outdoor pool (on the 4th floor), coffee shops, gift shops, fitness center, and multiple restaurants. Some of the restaurants were a bit pricey and the food was just okay, but there's variety. The casino floor itself is spacious, clean, and has a luxury vibe. The pool area turns into a club scene on Friday and Saturday nights, going until about 2 a.m. -- fun if you're looking for nightlife, but not so great if you're trying to sleep. If quiet is your priority, ask for a room away from the 600s/100s, since those overlook the pool and pick up the music. Rooms with balconies overlooking the party scene are an option if you'd rather enjoy it from above. Another thing to keep in mind: the elevators can be a hassle on weekends. Since the pool/nightclub is on the 4th floor, security staff set up checkpoints on the 3rd and 4th levels to check bags and wristband guests heading to the club. This means the elevators get tied up with people constantly moving between floors for the party. If you're just a hotel guest trying to get back to your room after a long day, it can feel slow and inconvenient. One more drawback: no spa. I was really hoping for massage or spa services, but they don't have that (yet). Also, the room design is a little quirky. The bathroom has a smoked-glass door (no lock), and the sinks/mirrors are in the bedroom itself, which can disturb anyone sleeping if you're getting ready with lights, hair dryer, or music on. Overall, though, we had a great stay. The hotel is new, clean, and very modern. The pool and arcade make it family-friendly, while the casino and club add that lively adult vibe. To be honest I was excited about the reopening of this casino I do think it's beautiful but the fact that it's 18 and under confuses me. Living in Vegas on and off so long probably threw me off at how much smaller they were and the rooms also no drinks? That's a first for me seeing a casino not serve drinks at a blackjack table lol. That's not to say the WALBURGER is absolutely delicious!!! I also hear there is a very nice restaurant upstairs but as far as staying there or playing the slots it was just eh. super confused by the low ratings. My hubby and I came on a last minute getaway before the back-to-school rush begins. It was an unexpected 5 star experience. We ate at the TWLV restaurant for both dinner and breakfast - Good food, great service, incredible options. We had drinks at the poolside bar - recommend the rum + agua fresca 10/10! It was shaded, nice and clean. We hit the slots for a bit and enjoyed the experience. Stopped by the store to buy a cool Chicken Ranch hat and a mixed treats bag labeled "bear poop" for our kids when we return. Final stop for the afternoon before heading to freshen up was the Arcade. Really cool! We did the Dinosaur Jurassic VR experience since we're geeks. Our room was delightful - spacious, impeccably clean, modern, comfy and quiet. The bed, omg, the bed!!!! we've stayed at dozens of hotels and we rate this the #1 BEST BED anywhere we've ever stayed. We got ready for a night cap and had a cocktail at the Proper & Plume. We loved it! Such a cute vibe, super nice bartender and the drinks (we got the two that had bourbon ) were again 10/10! We made our way around the corner for a nice surprise follow the decorated hall lined with bookcases and look for a secret door. We checked out the Twisted Feather at around 10:30pm and had no idea what to expect. The outdoor poolside nightclub is such a great place for people watching. I think it would make for a perfect girls night out in the future. We're not about that late night club life anymore lol but it was nice for a while so we headed back for cuddles and hulu before having the best night of sleep in years! no exaggeration. You walk in and it's bright and airy. Ceilings are so tall. So many windows all around and I'm not used to that for a casino. It was nice. Seems well ventilated and I don't think they allow smoking because my nose wasn't assaulted with cigarette smoke or remnants of such. So bright and spacious. Ground floor seems like resort check in's and a few shops. Also a very clean and well stocked bathroom. Took the escalators to the second floor which is where all the fun is. There were 4 of us and none of us are big gamblers. $20 on the penny machines is enough of a loss for us..hahahaha! However, there was a gentleman directly behind us whom stated he put in $13 and he his the jackpot ($17k) while we were there. I have never witnessed anyone win that much. It was exciting. Who wasn't excited were the attendants who were first to the scene. I nor my sister in law could figure out what all the eye rolling was about nor could I hear what she was saying to her coworker. If I were to hit a jackpot please don't come to me with a stank attitude. Not that it would matter just run me my monies...lol! We didn't even walk the entirety of the floor to look around. We each lost like $20 and we were on to the next. We came since we were on vacation in Twain Harte. My husband got to play the slots for a bit, and I checked out the arcade with my son. A number of the games in the arcade didn't work, or didn't scan the card at all, but he enjoyed himself and came up a decent winner. My husband, on the other hand, didn't win a single game. But I mean you can't expect to win everything lol. The buildings are REALLY nice and extremely clean. It looks very high class. (We don't have any experience with the hotel amenities). I like this place since its a non smoking casino and you do t have to i hale that second hand smoke. They also have great Places to eat. Also the good thing about it is so close to modesto and you do t have to travel to blacl oaks casino and come out smelling like an ashtray. read more

PARKING: they have a south and north garage. I parked on the third floor of the north garage and was able to walk in easily and take an escalator down to the casino floor area. INSIDE everything is brand new with a quirky chicken alien theme with photos of chickens on the walls that look AI. The casino floor isn't super big, but it gets the job done. There are 4 levels. First is the lobby check in. Second is the casino. Third are conference ballrooms. Fourth is the rooftop pool and live concert outdoor area. There's a hot tub too. Nice view. They have a couple different eating options like Wahlburgers by Mark Wahlburg and his family. Coffee place on the first floor. 209 is more of an American sit down restaurant.
