Top : half chicken with two sides (plantains & yucca fries) Bottom : Lomo saltado

This is a casual joint where you can order up front and pay right at the register. The chicken orders are quick, but stir fry plates like Lomo saltado will take another 5 minutes or so. The half chicken order came with two sides and we chose yucca fries and plantains. The yucca fries had a good crispy texture while fluffy and chewy inside. The plantains were sweet and caramelized which was a good balance to the well seasoned (salt forward) chicken and beef in the lomo saltado. The stir fried beef pieces were super tender and delicious with the gravy soaked fries and rice. The generous serving size fed us three well with left overs.

Ordered Chicken Rico for carry out on Grub Hub. Literally obsessed with this place. Got the quesadilla combo with plantains and fried rice. Came with SO many plantains. Price point was great for the amount of food. Came with salsa and sour cream and some spicy sauces. Thought one was guac- it was not and it was very spicy. Ha! Also had the fries which were kind of a flop. This is definitely the SPOT!

Food was a 5, experience was a 3, so rounding up to a 4. We got here after the lunch rush & there wasn't anything fresh so we waited a few minutes before ordering. The woman who took our order didn't speak a lick of English so I struggled to order but we did half chicken white meat, with fried rice & fries. The chicken was extremely tender and seasoned to perfection. The fried rice was also very flavorful - fries were soggy and bland, but that's not at all what we came for anyway. The whole restaurant floor was sticky and the tables weren't wiped clean so that was kind of an ick for me but the price was good for the huge portion size.

Came in to grab some takeout last night and overall, it was a decent experience. We ordered a full chicken, fries, and rice for $25, which turned out to be a generous portion that left us with leftovers for the next day's lunch. The chicken was flavorful and the rice was well-cooked, considering the quantity and the value for money, Chicken Rico provided a satisfying meal.

This review is overdue because we already had Chicken Rico multiple times. We had the one in Dundalk and Highland Town. Both are delicious. I just happen to live closer to this one. The chicken is always seasoned so well to the point that the flavors from the seasoning enters deep into the bone and cartilage. I love eating the cartilage from the ends of the chicken long bones and even that has flavor from the seasoning. The sides are always huge in proportion. Both of the sauces go well with the chicken depending on what flavor you are seeking. The yellow sauce has more of a creamy mayo texture which is good, but if you are in need of spice, the green sauce will do it justice. I would say that it can be a little bit more spicer but I am someone who likes spicy food. We ordered to go and we haven't been in the shop since COVID-19 started and they have plexi glass over the counter and all the staff members are masked and gloved. As we were picking up our food other people in line were getting their orders quickly as well. This is definitely a place to come back to!

Everything about the food is great. This Peruvian rotisserie is juicy, tender, flavorful and fresh! Luckily when I went to get the food, a new batch was freshly out from their coal oven and so my chicken had that addictive coal smoke flavor in it. There are 2 sauces which comes at an extra $2 and I think it is worth adding those 2 bucks to your order. They goes so well with the chicken and actually lot if other boring food in the fridge. The rice in the combo platter was a great as well. Just with the right amount of zing. The plantain fries were too oily and sweet for me.

It's a cute vibrant restaurant located right on the corner with outdoor patio seating and a full indoor dining area, bar, and second floor seating. We did make a reservation (which I would suggest) however if you get there early enough (between 10:00am - 10:30am) you should be able to get seated at a table or the bar. The staff there are very friendly and have great energy. The two hostess even offered us suggestions and their faves from the menu. Our server Jess was also very helpful and attentive during our time there. As far as food, we started off with a classic mimosa & paired it with the cinnamon bun which was delicious. Soft on the inside with a nice crust & the perfect creamy frosting with a hint of citrus. We were told they have a pastry chef in house so everything is made fresh (buns, biscuits, pastries). For our entrees we ordered the biscuits & gravy and "The Bunny's Benny." These were the perfect savory dishes! The sausage gravy was creamy, seasoned well, & had a hint of spice. The hollandaise sauce was sweet with a twang which paired well with the tomato jam and egg (I had mine scrambled). I ordered it with a side of the miso hot honey for chicken bites .. so good! Both dishes were large portions so if you wanted to share you could or plan to have some for leftovers. We also got to meet Ron, who's the general manager. Very nice man, attentive to his guest, and welcoming personality. Overall we had a great experience 10/10 and will definitely be back!

We both got the chicken sandwich. The menu is small, or I'm sure Jeremy would have ordered more than one sandwich. He did also get the bucket of "Korean Chicken" but that thing is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and he wasn't brave enough to eat much of it. I'm not sure what makes that chicken Korean. It has a nice breading, but one does expect certain flavors when ordering Korean chicken. There's no soy or garlic here, no spice. The chicken is also cut/chopped in such a haphazard manner that the first bite I took was composed only of small rib bones. You really can't tell what you're getting (because of the thick breading) until the chicken is in your mouth, and then there's the possibility that there won't be any meat in that bite. These tiny bones are dangerous. Spitting them out is messy, but necessary. No one should have to spit out a mouth-full of bones. EVER. There isn't any "Hot" in anything that we ordered, either. I do appreciate that the coleslaw is coarsely chopped, and well sauced and seasoned but part of the draw (at least for me) of having coleslaw on a sandwich is to soothe the burn of a hot sauce or seasoning. While it does add a nice crunch, is it really needed on an already crispy sandwich? Not really. It just makes your roll mushy. I suggest getting it on the side. The chicken on the sandwich was great. It's well-breaded and crispy. It's a decent size piece of chicken. The huge dill pickle slices are also perfectly briny to cut through some of that fried-ness. It's a very appealing contrast. Service was friendly and speedy, but there's really nothing I would go back for.

My uber eats order arrived and I was very disappointed so I got in my car to go to Uncle Sammy chicken to get the order corrected. Entered the address into the GPS and to my surprise the restaurant was only a few blocks away. However, knowing the area I knew that there was only strip clubs, Americas Best Wings, and one other well known food place on that particular part of that block on E. Baltimore St. I parked and walked into the well known food place looked around and walked back out. I went into Americas Best Wings, looked around, gagged, and knew I was unfortunately at the correct place. There were two men working there, one directly at the counter and another off to the side by the grill. I approached the counter, explained the situation, the man near the grill was understanding took the food back and began remaking the order. The man directly at the counter started arguing with me! Asking me how can he make it right (the other guy already working on fixing it) and in the same breath calling me ungrateful. I guess he wasn't expecting me to pull back up to have them fix my food correctly and that had him mad. Anyway, here are pictures I captured of that dingy place. Yes, I allowed him to remake the fish, they didn't replace the sides (said that wasn't messed up) , I was given another Ranch dressing (they charged $1 for one cup!!) after I walked out of there I gave the food away because Fear Factor couldn't pay me to eat from there!! The drink menu did not tickle my fancy so I ended up just having water. The restaurant week menu was a good selection of their regular menu items so it was an opportunity to try something that I could get again. I opted for the tuna as an appetizer, the whole branzino as my entree, and the zalabia for dessert. Everything was delicious! I would have liked the tuna to be more chilled; it came out closer to room temp. I have no notes for the bronzino. It was perfectly cooked, I really love the time and orange, the olive tapenade was the right amount of salty and briny, and the accompanying roasted harissa potatoes were fantastic. I guess if I had any critique it would be of the too skinny and woody asparagus. The dessert was something I'd never heard of, something like Mediterranean donuts. I really love the pistachios and the I think pomegranate sauce (it wasn't described on the menu so Im guessing), but the addition of chocolate was completely unnecessary and I'm not just saying that because I don't like chocolate lol. After dinner me and my dining companion went upstairs to the speakeasy for a cocktail. I was hoping they had a different drink menu and they did! This menu was much more interesting to me and I ended up getting a a well-balanced gin cocktail. I just read that they are closing to relocate so I'm hoping that I'll be able to go again soon.
