I had an excellent experience at Chicken Salad Chicks. I stopped in there for dinner and got a scoop of the buffalo and the jalapeno sandwich. I got too much food but what else is new, right??? Everything was fresh, delicious and spicy, just the way I love my food to be. And to the fearful, it is not too spicy to the point whereas you will need water or anything afterwards. This will definitely be part of our weekend takeout rotation going forward! I was hesitant to go because I'm picky about my chicken and especially chicken salad, but it was SO GOOD. My husband and I ordered 2 sandwiches and it was the perfect little lunch. Would be great to grab and go for a picnic too! I've had good experience in the past, I love the fancy nancy. I'm also 7mo pregnant and my brain doesn't always work. Today when I ordered the girl at the counter asked me (and this is how I heard it) "would you like the croissant white or wheat?" And in my head I was like huh I didn't know they offered wheat croissants. So I said "white" Then when I got my sandwich it was on white toast. I immediately knew my blunder. She meant "croissant, white (bread) or wheat (bread)" I really feel like they need to fix this lingo. Am I the only person who would be confused by that?? But then when I asked if they could remake it (very apologeticlly) I was given a "ummm well, I guess we can" like I was really a problem, I apologized profusely for misunderstanding and was so embarrassed. I mentioned when I handed it to her that I still wanted it toasted (the first one I ordered toasted and it was) Upon receiving my second sandwich my croissant was not toasted remember I'm 7mo pregnant and this just sent me over the edge. I started to cry and asked the same girl again I'm so so so sorry but could I have this toasted and she again gave me the same tone like I was really causing issues by asking again. She made me feel like such a burden even though we were the only people in the restaurant. I'm so disappointed in the way she handled this. Yes, I know I misunderstood but I am obviously overwhelmed and distressed about this. The least you could do was say "oh hon, no worries I'll fix this right for you!" Or something nice. I'll be back and now I know there's 3 options instead of 2. Also the Mac n cheese was scraped from the bottom of the barrel and was burnt, which was disappointing because their Mac n cheese is always so yummy! I just had to stop by yesterday to try this place out on the day they opened. By the time I got there close to 5:00 p.m. there was no line. They have menus sitting around that you can look at before you get to the counter which I found handy. I misunderstood one item though and thought that they had a little sampler plate for $6.99 because it named the different kinds of salads with the word "and" in there, not "or". But that's okay. I got the two scoop plate for just under $10 and tried the plain chicken salad and the one with boiled eggs in it. The plain was pretty bland but otherwise good with plenty of white meat and not overwhelmed with mayonnaise. The other one had a better flavor I thought but that's because it had more ingredients including pickle and boiled eggs but I couldn't actually taste any onion in it unless maybe I got mixed up and that wasn't the one with onion. I opted to get the scoops without being in a sandwich but I saw some platters with the chicken salad on croissant and they looked pretty good. I ordered a cookie but evidently the young man didn't understand me so I didn't get charged for it nor did I receive it. The platter does come with a tiny little cookie on the side and it was delicious. I know a pickle spear isn't very important but I have to say it was good quality and not some cheap slimy thing and I enjoyed having it on the side. They gave me a ton of crackers which I really appreciated. There was enough chicken salad that I probably took 3/4 of a scoop home and ate it later for dinner. The place was immaculately clean and there was a girl who was right on the spot as soon as anyone got up to leave she was right there cleaning the table getting it ready for the next person. I just got water as my drink but I got a little sample of the watermelon tea and it was delicious so I might get that next time. There are three other places in town I know of that have delicious chicken salad for probably less money but this one was definitely good. Since they closed the two in Oklahoma, I checked to see if there was a CSC location on our road trip from Nevada to Oklahoma. Indeed there was - Amarillo, Texas! Yay! We made it our mission. I've tried the majority of the different flavors but Kicken Kay Lynne is my favorite. I got a scoop of it with a cup of tortilla soup. My daughter also ordered the KIcken Kay Lynne. It tasted just as good as at any of their other locations. We have been to many in SC, AL, and FL. Since the two closed down in Oklahoma, I wanted to get some to go for my other daughter and husband. We got the Kicken Kay Lynne and Jalapeno Holly to take with us. Fortunately it made it to the house and not into our bellies on the ride home. The staff is super friendly and the service was fast. I guess this location recently opened. Lucky people! I hope they will continue to expand west! read more

I tried them for the first time and it wasn't bad. I ordered the fruity and the jalapeno to go. Both were tasty but the meat seemed dry. The sandwiches I saw looked good. They put plenty of salad on the bread. My only suggestion is that they cut the fruit in smaller pieces so that it blends and spreads better. read more
