This location was recently built and opened. This location offers a drive through window. I was skeptical about the drive through as I assumed that it would take a long time to receive our order, but that is the complete opposite of what happened! They immediately took our order and once I pulled around and paid the food was ready! Very impressive in my opinion. I ordered "The Chick" which included a sandwich, one side, a pickle and a cookie. Yay, it's finally here. I visited on grand opening day at around 4:30 pm. I was actually quite surprised that it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. There was no line. I saw plenty of cars and people eating at the tables. The whole ordering process seemed very organized. It was my first time at Chicken Salad Chick so I didn't really know what to expect. They handed me a menu and explained the combinations. I ordered a Classic Carol chicken salad sandwich on a croissant for my mother with lettuce and tomato. You get a side, soup, or scoop with a sandwich order. I got her the fresh fruit. I didn't know what I wanted. They offered to give me samples, but I decided to just get a trio of 3 different scoops. I chose Classic Carol, Pimento Cheese, and Buffalo Barclay. I wanted a little bit of everything. They have a padded bench area where you can sit and wait for your take-out order. It was all very comfortable and cozy. There was a Christmas tree off to my left and framed magazine articles on the wall such as one from Paul Deen Magazine. Apparently Chicken Salad Chick is one of her favorite picks. Nice! I received my order in a good amount of time and delivered it to my mother. She practically ate all of it, and every bit of her fruit. I was surprised. I guess she really likes chicken salad. I wasn't expecting the mini cookie inside of our box. That was a nice treat. I also didn't realize that these are generous scoops of salad. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered it. I obviously couldn't eat it all. After a while, it all became too rich for me to eat. I'll know better next time. What I did have was very tasty. The pimento cheese had chunks of pimento, but I think I want to try the spicy pimento next time to get a little more of that flavor. The Buffalo Barclay is chicken salad with wing sauce. It wasn't spicy at all, but still good. The Classic Carol is their traditional chicken salad recipe. Everything is finely chopped so you don't really get many textures. I like my chicken salad to have texture but the taste was all there. Next time, I'll get a sandwich because I felt like the scoops are too rich by themselves. That's just me. I am so looking forward to trying other menu items. They have soups, various green salads, fruit, and mac & cheese. The prices all seem reasonable. The meals I ordered were under $10. I'm happy anytime I can get a meal under $10. They have many gluten free and vegetarian options. The menu clearly marks all of them. I'll dine in the next time I'm at Bloomingdale Square. I want to love this place... but they are just so inconsistent. I don't dine in - I typically order for pickup or through UberEats, and my order is just never right. Last time I ordered the Lemon Basil salad, I ended up receiving the spicy one with jalapenos instead. I was also missing a side. This time, I paid $9 through UberEats for a gallon of their "natural lemonade" to find that they had given me the sugar free disgusting powdered MinuteMaid... for $9! Such a rip off.
