    Gluten-free cannolis
    Jackie M.

The first time I came here I just found it on the final gluten-free app and salt and it had gluten-free bread option for sandwiches. After talking to the staff, they told me that one of the owners has celiac disease and so they actually have a very strict protocol in the back, clean surfaces, dedicated space changing gloves, doing everything they can to prevent cross-contamination. I did end up getting a hoagie sandwich and it was really good. I'd say the only downfall is that all the good options. Do you contain wheat starch. Weed starch does bother me sometimes, but it didn't seem to bother me too much when I ate the sandwich. I've eaten here a couple of times now the last time I was talking to a different staff member and she said that there were other gluten-free options and that most of the things on the menu they could do gluten-free, but they even had gluten-free pizza crust and gluten-free cannolis. So my mom and I did end up trying to cannolis, they were very, very sweet, but it was really cool to have a gluten-free option for that.

My coworker sent me a TikTok on this place and wanted to know my review. I had never been before so here is my review. I came here on a Tuesday at 1:36pm. It was freaking packed. Like a line all the way to the door where you walk in at. On the left there are a ton of pastries. i'd love to come back and try pastries, but on this day, I didn't try any. Up first, I had the $11.99 homemade meatballs. Absolutely on point, and perfect meatballs. I really enjoyed them. For my main entree though, I got a Rebuen sandwich, or otherwise known as a Five Points Gang for $21.99. Oooooof, I really wanted to like the Reuben. I've never said this before about a Reuben sandwich, but frankly it had too much meat. It was weird because it was swallowing a handful of pastrami and nothing else. You couldn't taste any of the dressing, sauerkraut, or the bread because your mouth is full of just pastrami. I love Reuben sandwiches, and this one just isn't it. I hope to come back and give a review of a different sandwich and pastries. I feel like there's potential here, and maybe I just had a wrong item. Whereas the meatball was legit delicious.

The Food. The Desserts. Everything is great. We had sandwiches and they were amazing. We were in the restaurant at 2:30 pm on a Saturday and the line was out the door. Either it's small or the food is just that good. The Food is just that Good. Great environment and customer service.

I came here for the viral chicken cutlet tacos while in town for work! Honestly, I was a tad disappointed in them. We got two of the Caesar salad tacos along with one Alfredo and one vodka. The vodka sauce one tasted like a very average spaghetti and marinara. The Alfredo chicken cutlet taco was the best tasting one out of all of them, but I don't think it's worth the $14.99 for the two. Service wasn't that great. The staff seemed like they didn't eat to be there, but I was taking a to-go order so that didn't really affect me. They don't have cups of water... you have to buy a bottle. The ambiance gave very much Italian deli. A few tables but not like a large Italian restaurant or anything like that. BUTTTT I will say they have like 4 pages of sandwiches on their menu and I would absolutely come back to try any of their sandwiches.

This was our first time after awhile of watching their Instagram. Order at the counter and wait for the order to be ready. Then you can eat it inside, outside or takeout. Service was great and there is a staff member always cleaning which is nice. Each food item is fairly dense, but they use real and flavorful ingredients. I got the pesto chicken wrap and their olive oil, pesto, fresh mozzarella are obviously fresh. The chicken cutlet tacos have great flavor, but will definitely only need one next time. Our least favorite was the pizza. We got a slice of the grandma pizza heated up because it looked so good in the window, but it was overheated and seemed to have been sitting for a bit. This is probably our error for not realizing it wasn't a fresh pie and that it may have been better not heated at all.

this place was PACKED but the service was fast. inside was chill had italian theme super cute , i took a picture of the mini mural at the front entrance i thought it was pretty cool. They had a bakery here too and the options are endless, i couldn't decide what to get but I got the cannoli and LOVED IT 10/10. I also had the chicken taco with alfredo & vodka pasta. Personally i preferred the vodka pasta over the alfredo from this spot, it has good flavor .

We always make it a point to stop by Frankie's Italian Deli when we're in Tampa. Great desserts, sandwiches and pizza. Last night, we tried some Sicilian and white chicken pizza. It all hit. I've never had anything bad here. Later, my in-laws had some desserts at their home. Their cannoli and Napoleon cake is stellar. The staff is great. We went towards close, there was still a crowd waiting for their orders and everyone was still pleasant and proud of what they were producing for the customers. Inside is clean, everything on display and Frankie's consistently executes on everything they do. If you're in the Tampa/Brandon area, you need to try this place. You'll be glad you did.

This is a little drive for us but we were in the area and knew we had to stop. We came for their cutlet tacos. It's a chicken cutlet shaped into a taco shell and either stuffed with Alfredo or vodka sauce spaghetti or Cesar salad. I got the pasta ones and wow!! Their Alfredo was so delicious and had a lot of garlic. They also came with a garlic knot . The portions were big and staff was king. They also have a dessert case, Italian deli counter and a pizza case. The menu had a lot of items and they also sell fun and unique sodas. This is a great spot with lots of options. Do yourself a favor and get the cutlet tacos. Only knocking down 1 star because you cannot mix and match between the Cesar salad cutlet and pasta one. You get 2 per order but can only do all salad or all pasta. Thankfully a friend ordered the Cesar and I was able to try that one. Perfect combo right there

I've been going to Frankie's Italian Deli for a couple of years now and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely worth the drive from Wesley Chapel. There are days during the week when I'll even have a team member drive 40 minutes just to pick up breakfast -- that's how good it is. The pastries, coffee, heroes, and breakfast sandwiches are always my go-to, and everything is consistently fresh and satisfying. It's the kind of place you look forward to going to and keep coming back to. Highly recommend Frankie's to anyone looking for great food that's well worth the trip.

Decent experience at Frankie's. Had the chopped cheese and the buffalo chicken meatball sandwich with ranch. The bread I believe was a Ciabatta which I was not the right type I feel like it should have been a roll instead. The Ciabatta was so spongy and it was harder to eat. The buffalo sauce in the other sandwich was all absorbed in the bread so it was dry. Didn't see any ranch on it either. They do have lots of options, deli sides, pizza, sandwiches and desserts. They have those viral chicken cutlet tacos where the shell is chicken and the filling is pasta! You order at the counter and sit to eat or take it to go. There have a small seating area. I would come back and maybe try the pizza or something else, but I was not impressed with the sandwiches.

This place stays BUSY so it's highly recommended that you order online 20-30 minutes before you arrive if you want to eat quickly. The location is small but they do a lot including prepared foods, desserts and of course the hot/fresh food. We tried the viral Chicken Cutlet Caesar Salad tacos and the Supremo Wrap. Tacos - 8/10! Very tasty, just needed some extra dressing to be able to dip the tacos in. Supremo - 7/10. It was like a poutine wrap, lots of flavor and tasty but a little much for me, personally.

I love a good Italian deli and this one did not disappoint! Upon arrival, we got in the long line to order and waited at least an hour before ordering. The place is small and packed in, but it kind of adds to the New York feel of things. They have all kinds of desserts along the area where you wait in line, and everything looked amazing! Once we ordered, the sandwiches came out pretty quickly, so the main waiting was just to order. The sandwiches were huge and loaded with fillings, so a great deal for the price! The Italian cookies were tasty, and the cannoli was good as well though the filling was a bit too runny, not thick like a typical cannoli. Overall a great experience but be prepared to wait, and I hope next time the cannolis have a thicker filling.

Love it here!! I, just like many others, discovered Frankie's from their viral TikToks. When I arrived, the line was out the DOOR. I was so happy to have placed my order online. The venue itself is what you'd expect from a deli/restaurant. It wasn't too crowded, and the ambiance itself gave off a warm, familial vibe. There was the actual bakery counter with an array of yummy-looking pastries, and you order your food at the end of the counter. The service was nice as well. I decided to go with the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was delicious! It wasn't overstuffed, and it wasn't super bare. The chicken had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. The Caesar dressing wasn't overpowering either. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and I definitely plan to go back.

This restaurant is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5-10pm. I have no idea how they make it. Now, the inside is super duper tiny. The second you walk in you almost run over the hostess stand. Then, there's maybe 10 tables inside. Up first they bring you free bread. The bread isn't homemade, and tastes like the same bread you can get at a thousand other Italian restaurants. I tried the $8.50 bruschetta. It is a monster portion. However, it's just regular bread with regular tomatoes on top. No special spices, no special ingredients. Very plain and boring. For my entree, I had half Linguine al Pesto and half Penne alla Rustica. Oooooof again. The linguine pesto was watery. I could barely even taste the pesto. It was like swallowing wet noodles plain. Maybe the worst pesto dish I've ever had, and I love pesto. The penne was better, but once again it didn't taste any different that one you'd order from Fazoli's. Overall, underwhelming. The pasta tastes straight out of a box from Publix. No cocktails here. The only positive is that portion sizes are huge. I think a half size is plenty for most people. Also, there is some good people watching if you can sit at a table in the window. I won't be back.
