I've become a quick fan of this spot since I discovered chicken salad chick and I even find myself craving their food. Especially for this location, the staff here are all very friendly and make it and even more enjoyable experience. I love getting the chick melt combo with provolone with either 1-2 sides. 2 sides if i'm feeling greedy and want a lot of chicken salad for the day, but it really is a lot of food! & you have to try the grape salad it has changed my life!

I've only ever been to this Chicken Salad Chick location but it's such a good one! The space is clean, the staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the food is yummy and consistent. I also like that the drink station has individually wrapped lemon slices. I've had the BBQ (sweet and savory), the original (classic and well done), the jalapeno holly (savory and a little spicy), and the pimento cheese (cheesy!). All scoops are good and the crackers you get are a sweet wheat thin crackers that pair perfectly with chicken salad. Sides I've tried are the grape salad which is so good and the broccoli salad which is sweet and refreshing. You also get a pickle and a free cookie which is delicious!

I was so happy with my meal! I got a BLT with chicken salad as well as pimento cheese. The pimento cheese is SO delicious and I was able to get two snacks out of it. The sandwich I finished in one sitting and was so happy with it as well. It's a good, well rounded but simple meal!

I'm obsessed with the chicken salad here! The classic and the basil are yummy! I've tried the grape salad, the pasta salad and broccoli salad. All are really good. The cookies that they give you with your meal are addictive. Very friendly staff. This location is also very clean. Plenty of seating. Plenty of parking.

Fruity Fran chicken salad Side of mac & cheese

My group had lunch at Chicken Salad Chick last week, the service was quick, and the ambiance was nice and easy to conduct conversation. I had the Fruitty Fran tuna sandwich on toasted wheatberry bread and a side of Mac & cheese. The sandwich was good and had plenty of chicken salad on it, and I really like the bread; the Mac and cheese was just so, so. If I am back in the Falls Church area, I would stop in again.

We have been to Chicken Salad Chick a few time since they opened in August 2024. The are many varieties of chicken salad that include savory, spicy and classic styles. I had Dixie which is the only one that contains onions. The chicken salad is very good and the croissant was fresh. I had Mac n Cheese as a side and I didn't care for it. The pimento cheese is good and comes with crackers. This is a great spot that has relatively quick service with plenty of tables. If by chance you don't like chicken salad they do also offer a turkey sandwich. Each order comes with a small iced cookie to finish your meal off. We enjoy this place and it's a great spot to get quality chicken salad.

It was my first time here and I must say, I'm impressed with the customer service here! I love chicken salads so we stopped by to check it out. My partner loves spicy food so she had the Maui and I ordered the Classic Carol. We were able to sample a few before committing and the chick comes with a side. I heard good things about the broccoli salad so I enjoyed it. I'm not sure if each meal comes with a cookie but that was a nice touch! I would definitely come back here for a quick pick-me-up!

Disappointed that I ordered a BLT to basically be missing the "B" on one half of the sandwich lol

Relatively new spot and you can get chicken salads to go! Super clean and spacious spot and really quick and efficient staff. Granted, it is chicken salad so if you don't like chicken salad.. well.. you probably won't like this place. I like the fruity Fran chicken salad the most as it has some fruit inside and is like a fruit mayo salad with chicken. Got takeout to go and they have all the main salads on the side of the store near the front. Great way after driving from work and not wanting to cook anything. Saw lots of small families, and honestly I would say it's a solid spot for a quick (somewhat healthier) dinner with your kids.

Been waiting awhile to try this and it did not disappoint! To start I loved the inside vibe of the Chicken Salad Chick. Service was very friendly and fast. I got the Sassy Scotty meal and my wife got the Kickin Kay Lynne meal. Both sandwiches were fresh and had delicious flavor. Grape salad was definitely my favorite side. The pasta salad was decent and I was not a fan of the broccoli salad but that was my wife's favorite side! Wish it was closer!

Not a bad lunch spot! New to our area, I decided to try it when I wanted something different. Lots of options depending on if you want a more savory chicken salad or sweeter. Nice options! You can make it healthy without bread or make it a sandwich. I think they're a little lazy with the bread though, maybe toast it? It was good - not sure if I'll add to my rotation.

I really enjoyed trying this restaurant! The staff was super nice and they allowed you to sample the different chicken salad choices. There are so many flavors! I went with the lemon basil and my daughter went with the option with onions. Both were so delicious! They also have the option for pre packaged chicken salad you can take home. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Also the sweet tea was amazing! If you enjoy southern sweet tea (hard to find here), you would love this. I will def return!

    Susie W.

I had such a great experience here! The team was so friendly and helped me understand the menu as a first-timer. It's definitely a casual vibe - you order at the counter and then find your seat. There were so many options and combos, I'll definitely be back.

I love a good chicken and waffles so I was eager to try them out. I got to try the regular classic, peach ,and sample the Mac and cheese waffle. They were decent and I enjoyed what I had but it didn't move me to chorus. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. The biscuits for a cause were incredible. Hands down my favorite. Warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the jam and butter. The roasted half bird dish was a item on the special menu. They had a special on mimosas and had a few different dishes that weren't on the regular menu. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The green beans were nice and savory. Though the Mac and cheese left a bit to be desired. They complemented the dish but the green beans were definitely the standout. All in all, I'm not disappointed that I went but I can't say that I would return on my own accord. It's a very popular restaurant but I found the food to be a bit mid unfortunately.

While this place is not anywhere near Burke, it is a trip worth it. First, the service was excellent. Ziniah was phenomenal in attending. It carried a lot of flavor with the eggs and even the potatoes were flavorful and crispy. The best feature was the sweet butter. I could eat a whole tub of that and want to eat more. I ate the wing first, and while it was cooked, it definitely seemed like it could've used more time. That made me skeptical enough to check the rest of the chicken--and instead of biting into it, I cut it and sure enough, the thighs weren't cooked all the way through. That pretty much killed the meal for me. The skillet cornbread was good, but too thick for my preference. The greens had a nice flavor, but they had turkey diced extremely fine throughout them. I don't like meat mixed into my greens, and with it being almost crumb-sized, picking it out was damn near impossible. The mac & cheese was good, although slightly salty. My girlfriend's fried oysters were overcooked, and she didn't care for the candied yams. She did say the peach tea was excellent. Best items were the peach tea, skillet cornbread, and mac & cheese, in that order--but the tea was really the only thing either of us thought was excellent. Service / Timing: Service was okay. Our waiter brought the wrong items twice and wasn't the most attentive, but it never got to the point where we were wondering where she was. What bothered me more was how the undercooked chicken was handled. They removed the chicken dinner from the bill and took another $10 off, but nobody apologized. Serving undercooked chicken is a serious mistake, so I would've expected at least an acknowledgment or apology. Value: Low. The bill adjustment was appropriate, but between the undercooked chicken and the other food misses, the experience wasn't worth it. Highlight: Tea Wrap-Up: Unfortunately, this was a disappointing birthday dinner. There were a few things that were good, but almost everything came with a "but"--the cornbread was good but too thick, the mac was good but slightly salty, and the greens had good flavor but weren't enjoyable for me with the finely diced turkey throughout them. The only thing that got an excellent review was the peach tea. The biggest issue was obviously the undercooked fried chicken. My entrée had to be removed from the bill, nobody apologized, and I ultimately left my own birthday dinner still hungry.

From their tried and tested deviled eggs to their classic but with a twist Gochujang Tator Tots to their hearty Shrimp'N'Grits; the menu always has something that is sure to please each and every person in your company. My family and I enjoyed all of the dishes and we found that our selection of items was quite perfect for a group of three looking for a balance of savory and sweet. What we tried: The French Toast is crusted with cornflakes, making every bite a treat for the senses. I daresay that french toast should never be served in any other way. The crunch from the cornflakes elevates an otherwise humble dish and highlights the ingenuity of Southern cuisine: simple ingredients that when brought together deliver high impact results. The Shrimp'N'Grits was a delight. We have a dish similar to this which I insist the team at Succotash must try. It's called Kichuri; similar but different. This is perfect for those who prefer a savory breakfast packed with umami and flavor in every bite. Mr. Roger would definitely approve of this one. Potatoes are a universal favorite and thus Tator Tots were a must order for us. We didn't have any children with us but fried potatoes always satiates even the most picky of eaters. We did appreciate the integration of a gochugang aoili and pickled jalapeños. This elevated the dish enough to where it could be enjoyed by both adults and children. The Deviled Eggs are a no-brainer unless you are someone who hates perfection. They are the creamy dreamy accouterment to elevating one's daily protein intake and perfect wholesome addition to any breakfast or brunch. Not mentioned: I have had the Chicken & Waffles at Succotash and I still dream about it to this day. We did not have it in this visit because we decided to opt for more shareable items but the Chicken & Waffles is highly recommended. It's a complete meal: both savory and sweet. Surprisingly, it wasn't very busy for a Friday night near Navy Yard, which, in hindsight, may have been a sign. The service got off to a rough start. Valet parking was advertised, but no valet was present when we arrived. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone showed up. Once seated, it took quite a while for our server to introduce himself, check on us, and even offer water. We opted for the $30 unlimited drinks, which sounded like a great deal. Unfortunately, the bartender struggled with an Old Fashioned multiple times. The first drink had the wrong liquor, incorrect ingredients, and even the wrong ice. After another attempt, our server explained that the bartender was new, so he ended up making and pouring the drink himself. The food was a mixed bag. The jerk steak bites were disappointing, several of the six pieces were mostly fat, making the appetizer feel like a waste. The Brussels sprouts, which are cooked with okra, were anything but crispy. Instead, they were extremely slimy. The lobster pasta had good flavor, but it was swimming in so much oil you could have fried a batch of chicken. On the positive side, the chicken and waffles were delicious and easily the best dish we ordered. The sea bass, however, was just mediocre. To end the evening, we experienced another long wait. It took about 15 minutes for the valet to return, and then another 10 minutes to bring the car. Overall, Hen Quarter has a beautiful location and a lot of potential, but the inconsistent service and hit-or-miss food made for a disappointing experience. I really wanted to love it, but based on this visit, I wasn't impressed. I hope they can work through these issues because the restaurant truly has the potential to be something special.

I felt like I was using the bathroom in the dark! * I think they should give you more than four wings for two people with the family-style meal, especially since the wings were so good. Overall, we had a really good experience. The food was good, the portions were filling, the presentation was great, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely go back! I'm glad we decided to give this place a try because it really is a hidden gem.

Worked up an appetite shopping this afternoon and decided to have lunch here…read more It wasn't too busy and if my cousin wasn't with me I would've loved to just sit at the bar... For a holiday, the mall wasn't too busy so that was a plus! We were welcomed and seated right away. The music playing wasn't too loud. Perfect vibes for an afternoon lunch with my cousin/niece. Today I went with the salt and pepper shrimp roll and my niece ordered the bacon cheeseburger with extra pickles. She enjoyed her burger and my shrimp was seasoned perfectly. The rolls were a bit undercooked this afternoon, and my Mango Martini was just like I remembered...yummy! Our server was welcoming and attentive. He suggested I try the Mango Mojito. Just may have to take him up on that next time. Until next time...Happy Yelping!
