Office holiday party and we took up the back of the restaurant (8 tables? of 10). I helped myself to the salad bar which had many options. They were pretty good about replenishing too. The guys coming around with the meat were attentive! And paid attention to how you liked it cooked. Some beef things were good, some outstanding. I didn't try the chicken or shrimp. We had a choice of the cheesecake or the chocolate cake. Chocolate cake was good and thank god, a small piece! Wish they had something lighter like ice cream. Place was very popular mid January!!

My 3rd visit here and it was NOT a charm. Celebrated my anniversary our server was nice. We got our starters: Polenta sticks not good. Puffy bread balls: hard as a rock. Brazilian mash potatoes. We got it served cold :( Dinner service starts at 4pm. They make sure all the lunch patrons clear out 1st. Which runs past 4pm. The salad bar was meh. The only good thing was butternut squash soap. Most side item seems like it came from a container. Guachos all stood around there til like 4:25 is when the 1st rounds of meat came out. The best meats IMO were Filet mignon Lamb chops Rib eye Short rib. However, the top of the line stuff... filet mignon and lamb chops really lagged throughout the course of the night. Often times we had waited for these items. The guachos (who were very nice and professional) kept asking us what we were waiting on. We said lamb and filet mignon. The chicken ( which look dry) salmon- we found out that it's farm raise ( no thanks) Shrimp and pork sausage kept coming out and grilled cheese and grilled pineapple. Our server was ok. However I dont understand why the top meats lag . This happened before at my friends celebration. For what they charge, I expected better. I get better meat and service at K bbq at a lesser price. Valet parking is available for $5

Vegetables, rice and beans plus smoked salmon from the salad bar.

I stopped in at Chima Steakhouse Tysons Corner after leaving AMC Tysons Corner, and when we first arrived the dining room wasn't very crowded. After 8:00 PM, though, it definitely filled up. I hadn't been to in more than 10 years, so I was excited to return--and I'm happy to say it absolutely lived up to my memory. If you're searching for a Brazilian steakhouse in Tysons Corner with a great salad bar and authentic rodizio dining, this spot really delivers. I still remembered how good their salad bar was--and it did not disappoint. What I didn't realize before is that you can order the Select Rodizio and choose just one protein (shrimp, chicken, sausage, or picanha). Our entire table chose the picanha, and it was the right choice. Right after we sat down, they brought out warm cheese rolls with a creamy spread that had a slightly salmon-style, savory flavor. It was a great way to start the meal. At the salad bar, I loaded up on fresh vegetables, rice, beans, sausage, smoked salmon, and beef carpaccio. The beef carpaccio was absolutely amazing. One of my friends grabbed the chimichurri sauce, which I ended up loving--bright, fresh, and very flavorful (I personally would have enjoyed just a touch more garlic, but it was still excellent). Our server, Karas, was excellent and very attentive, and they kept the picanha coming. It was cooked perfectly--medium rare, juicy, and with just the right amount of fat along the edges. They also brought us crispy polenta, whipped potatoes, and fried bananas. The potatoes were incredibly addictive, the polenta had a nice crisp, and while the bananas could have been a little crispier, they were still a nice sweet finish. I'll definitely be back to Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Tysons Corner, VA--and honestly, I would even come just for the salad bar alone. I also really enjoyed the vegetable soup (I believe it was butternut squash). Overall, this was a great evening, excellent service, and a hearty, satisfying meal. If you're looking for one of the best places for picanha, rodizio, and Brazilian steakhouse dining near Tysons Corner / Vienna, VA, this is a solid choice for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.

We had a great experience at China and you really can't beat the flavor and quality of the food! Our favorite bites were the lamb chops, ribeye, cheese bread, and the grilled pineapple. The salad bar has a good mix of pasta salads, breads, and veggies. We were celebrating a graduation so they brought us a complimentary cheesecake, which was also good. Also, the valet is only $5 which is pretty awesome. There are a couple bumps in the ambiance and service. When we were first seated it took about 5 minutes for a waiter to come around with drink menus and explain the setup. Then on the back half of our meal we didn't get any service from the gauchos for about 10 minutes. This was Mother's Day weekend so it was crowded. Lastly, and this is a nitpick, but they call your name out for reservations like orders at McDonald's, for a place of this level you'd think they'd have a more upscale experience. Overall a great experience and we'll be back!

8 years ago I wrote an amazing review with a few notes to be fixed! Guess what? 8 years and quality is amazingly solid if not even better and my notes were taken care of! Yes!!! Their shrimp has gone amazing now and it's peeled with the tail on and amazing dressing/seasoning!! The service is still amazing! The best price now is on Sundays! Don't miss their limited time 2 lobster tails for $20!! And if it's your birthday don't forget to sign up online and get your $25 off coupon just don't celebrate your birthday more than twice a year! Lol ;) After trying all three chains in the area I can tell that Chima WINS!!! 1. The best meats- taste, quality and variety! 2. The best service and most friendly! 3. Complimentary valet parking wish if 1 can remember all the names of the great staff but next time 1 will do!! Thanks to: Eric Zaka Ibrahim Ayman And for everyone who made this visit a great experience for me! The salad bar is amazing, the appetizers are also amazingl! The best ever Brazilian vinaigrette! They are paying atattention to the details! I loved the lamb chops, beef ribs, top sirlion , fillet mignon , the Cajun rib eye and the shrimp, spicy jalapeño sirlion steak ** I love that the soda has free refill! Desserts are great but on my last visit I didn't have a space for it :) Try it, vote for the review , message me, or compliment me with any comment or question, and don't forget to ... Pray for me ;)

The meat! Sausage, shrimp, fillet and something else (it was good).

If you like meat...and a wide selection you need to visit Chima. Reservations for 6:30 on a Thursday, the place had a few patrons. We were seated directly in line with the salad bar. The salad bar has a monster selection of everything salad releated plus breads, potatoes, cold pasta. I was saving my appetite for the meat. Initially the waiter comes with filet, then small sausages, chicken (I say no to chicken, I cook chicken at home), then came another huge selection of perfectly cooked meats. The picanha, cajun ribeye, flank steak and shrimp were some things that were excellent. On the table is a disc, one side says more meat (I think it's the red side) and the other says I'm good for now (I think that's the black side). The service is pretty good. They're always asking if you want a beer or glass of wine, I was driving so I have to decline. Meat selection and salad bar are great, you'll eat until you can't eat any more. Yeah it's a little pricey but it's a treat, dinner out with a friend or a good place for the second or third date with a lady. I'll be back, count on that.

We came to this restaurant for Father's Day to celebrate the Dad's in our lives. Boy,was I surprised at the wonderful service and the attentive staff. The restaurant is beautiful. A person in our party initially made the reservations however, the time needed to be changed to further accommodate the added guest. I was able to call to change the time of reservations without any problems although they were booked. What I loved about the restaurant was having the salmon that was on the menu the warm cheese and smoked pineapple . This is my first time being able to get these added items at a Brazilian steakhouse. Oh, the salad bar is fully stocked with so many fresh items including soups. I never heard of the this restaurant before this visit. It was great to try something totally new and different all while having such a great experience and love shown to Fathers. They had a photo prop up for picture taking for Father's Day which I had to take full advantage of. We were also given a coupon to return however, I haven't made my way back yet but, I definitely will.

Chima in Tysons is a popular restaurant, and it can get crowded, especially during the weekend. Atmosphere - contemporary, open, and inviting Service - front desk staff is not as efficient as the back wait staff, while we were waiting to be seated, they were scrambling over the guest list and who has been seated and who has not, someone needs to train them better. The dining area wait staff were a different story. They were navigating the noisy and slightly chaotic tables filled with large families tables like a pro. Whenever we needed something, we could wave down any staff pass by and get what we needed, which is great. Value - pricey, about $70 per person for dinner on the weekend. Cocktails is about $20 per drink . given the quality of meats and nice selections of open salad bar items, it's worth it.... A note to small stomach people like me, this is not meant for people like us, but I will still go for the good companies. Parking - There is a nearby parking garage with 2 hr free parking, which is about a couple of minutes' walking distance. Also, limited street parking, just ensure you are not taking any of the residential parking spots. Do recommend. - By IG@WineDinenVacay

Beef ribs were the best cut in my opinion. So tender and juicy. The filet mignon only came in medium or well done. For the cut, it was a little dry. The ribeye was tender and so were the lamb chops. I usually hate lamb but these did not taste gamey at all. The shrimp were also super succulent and I enjoyed the garlic sirloin flavor. Also the cheese bread!! So good and I loved the spread. Delicious food although a little pricey. The Brazilian steakhouse experience is fun though. I think individual dishes at other restaurants may taste better but you won't get ther variety or experience that you would here. Recommend checking out this style of dining. Unfortunately, the service was not as attentive as it could have been. We waited at least 5-10 minutes before a server came to us which was unexpected for a high end restaurant like this. We had to grab our own plates from the salad bar and our water wasn't filled until after we already started eating. The small plates (aside from the bread) weren't served until well into our meal. Additionally, there's no free parking by the restaurant and costs $5 to valet your car. They take cash or card.

Updating my review as I finally had a chance to visit on my on terms (last time was a wedding). Though we made reservations, the restaurant didn't get busy until after 730. The hostesses greeted us with a smile and our waiter Joao Victor took such great care of us. He was very knowledgeable and gave good suggestions based on our feedback. Loved the variety of meat + seasoning and they really know how to keep the meat going! Great margaritas true to their name.

Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The bartenders were very busy, and the waiters would walk by, avoiding any eye contact. Also, the host needs tips on greeting guests. Instead of asking how he could help us or if we had a reservation, he just stated that they were booked all weekend. During our time at the bar, only half of the tables filled up.

You all know I compare Love to Restaurants!…read more I love The Capital Grille. It's a quiet reminder that consistency and quality can still echo the kind of love we long for. My sweet friend also loves this place. Dinner was easy to decide on this week. I don't typically like being in VA but since I'm his "favorite" plus one, yes let's do it. Service is always great here! Can't remember a bad visit! Ambiance, typical "fine dining" atmosphere. I love that most patrons are dressy. I typically get steak when I'm here but he dines at this location at least once a week (he's loyal) and raved about the salmon. I listened and followed his recommendation. Let's get into it! Salmon - OMG I might have found my new favorite place to eat Salmon! Chef's kiss! Do not get well done, prepare it the chefs way! Sautéed spinach - was perfect! Will note I didn't need a side but I got this and glad I did. Filet Mignon butterflied - Oscar Style is my go to and typical order. Lobster Mac - Always! Perfect for date night, with an ambiance that encourages slow talks and shared smiles. Recommend this over and over!

She suggested Patsy's and I'm really glad she did. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and clearly on top of everything, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The food was excellent definitely top-notch, though a bit on the pricey side but worth it overall. What really stood out, though, was a young man named Henry, who was working as a food runner. As someone who's naturally outgoing, I struck up a conversation with him, and he left a lasting impression. For just 18, he carried himself with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. You can tell he has a bright future ahead of him. Places like this should hold on to people like Henry he truly elevated the entire experience. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Sorry for the late post. I was really excited when my husband surprised me with a birthday dinner…read morereservation at Churasko last Saturday 3/28, but I'll admit I was a little nervous after seeing some mixed reviews on Yelp. Thankfully, our experience turned out to be absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the host was warm, welcoming, and very patient as we figured out which dining option we wanted. She clearly explained the different experiences--from the churrasco and Wagyu offerings to the sushi and small plates--and gave us time to look over the menu without any pressure. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with great ambiance and music that really set the tone for a special night. My husband chose the Platinum Tier dining experience for my special occasion and it was worth it. Our server, Mike, truly made the entire evening unforgettable. From start to finish, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He took the time to explain each dish, offered great recommendations, and made sure we were always taken care of. We started with Brazilian cheese bread, which was just okay, but the trio of flavored butters (gochujang, black sesame, and regular) was unique and delicious. Then came the Fire & Ice seafood tower, which was not only beautifully presented but also came with a dramatic tableside display. The grilled shrimp and oysters Rockefeller were excellent, and the chilled oysters and sashimi skewers were fresh and flavorful. The lotus chips on the side were also a nice touch. One dish that didn't quite hit for me was the lobster tempura--it was slightly salty and it was a bit soggy when I expected it to be crisp. However, the lobster bisque more than made up for it. It was hands down one of the best I've ever had--the broth was light but yet very rich and flavorful, perfectly executed!!! We were also served a shrimp egg custard that was interesting and enjoyable, though we were already starting to get full at that point! Then came the highlight: the unlimited premium meats. Everything from the A5 Japanese Wagyu to the lamb chops was delicious and high quality. The bone marrow pasta and Wagyu fried rice were standout favorites for us as well. The presentation throughout the entire meal was stunning--every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and visually beautiful. What truly made the night special, though, was Mike. He went above and beyond to make my birthday feel celebrated. He surprised me with all three desserts, a complimentary champagne toast, sparkles candles, and even two beautiful take-home gifts (a set of Japanese-style bowls like the ones used for the lobster bisque, with the restaurant's name on them). That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to us. We had so much food that we couldn't finish everything, and Mike kindly allowed us to pack up what we couldn't finished to take home. Overall, this was an incredible experience with outstanding service. Honestly, it was far better than when my husband took me to Hell's Kitchen a few years ago--we spent just as much there but received nowhere near the level of service or even a simple birthday acknowledgment. Highly recommend Churasko, and if you can, ask for Mike--he will take amazing care of you!

Went here to celebrate my brother's birthday for the whole family because I wanted to check this…read moreplace out after seeing it all over social media. Wow were we disappointed. We paid Michelin star prices for airport lounge food. That is how I can describe it. The silver and gold packages per person ARE NOT WORTH IT. They give you unlimited wine and beer but it's not wine you get to choose and they were out of the Japanese beer my brother wanted. They have house sake but you can't choose the sake you want. For the cost of what we paid per person (which includes tip) and the service reflects that. You could tell our server didn't want to come to our table very much at all. The only thing that blew me away with the gold package which is what we got was the grilled pineapple. The silver package sits you in the silver section with the silver buffet. The gold package sits you in the gold section with the gold buffet. You get the point so your party all has to do one of them...then there's the platinum which I will never find out about because it's NOT WORTH IT. I thought we were going to get lobster and oysters and all of the wagyu tacos I saw on instagram. I come to find out that is the à la carte menu and it is probably way cheaper than what we paid. The most disappointing thing was that we were told we were getting something called Australian and American Wagyus??? Yeah they were awful pieces of meat. I wanted the Japanese A5 Wagyu seared in front of me for $150 a person at a JAPANESE STEAKHOUSE. It's not the American steakhouse or the Australian steakhouse...it's Japanese...The Filet and Picanha were the softest pieces of meat they offered but even then I could have cooked and eaten better at home. Thank goodness the one great thing is that they didn't charge us for the 2 kids because there was no way they were going to eat $150 worth of food each. If they had charged us for the kids, it definitely would have been highway robbery. The sushi at their "airport lounge like buffet" wasn't great either. The sushi and seaweed salad was sitting out for awhile. It was my brother's birthday and we didn't get a cake- you could only choose 1 of 3 desserts from their buffet. I wanted to try the 4 milks cake but since we didn't know or do the à la carte we were limited to what they offered in the gold package. The ambience and vibes are cool. But definitely just stay downstairs and order off their menu. To do it right I would have gotten the first drink on the house for ladies at dusk and ordered from menu. I hate these kinds of steakhouses because you're always left feeling like you didn't get the quality -- you just got quantity. We felt defeated and I could have eaten better at Capital Grille or gone to a Michelin and at least would have felt more wow-ed! -after a $1,220 for 6 people, I honestly want my money back...
