My wife loves this place. She buys containers of chicken salad at the inflated price of $17 a pound because they are cute. It's not bad chicken salad. I can't afford it though. The pimento cheese is about the same. Soon they'll start putting those pink ribbons on the containers and raise the prices. It wouldn't surprise me if they'd put a high heeled shoe on the counter and bump up the price of the chips to $5 a bag. It's far from being the best chicken salad,jalapeños or not,in a town that kills a million chickens a day and all but invented chicken salad. There's much better just down the street. read more

It's the little extra quality perks that make this place so special - the crispy dill pickle on the side, the delicate iced sugar cookie and yes, even the sturdy styrofoam cup you get for soft drinks and tea! The idea of Chicken Salad never really appealed to me until I got invited by the owner to come try it out. I was hesitant cause I didn't think I would enjoy it. And then I tried the BBQ Chicken salad and the Dixie Chick salad and I was blown away. I would recommend that you at the very least go and try it out, I loved it and I will be back. Great food, different concept, definitely worth a stop in and grabbing a bite to eat. When ordering you are welcomed to sample any of the chicken salad flavors. After sampling a few I chose "Dixie Chick" on a croissant it had more of a flavor blend with the onions. I cannot understand how, if I just placed my order, the toast can be cold AND soggy. Just saying. The chicken salad was ok. Asked for lettuce and tomatoes, and didn't get it, had to go back and ask for it. The tortilla chicken soup was very salty. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but for $25, I would generally expect better, and if my wife weren't with me, someone probably would have gone home in tears. This place definitely lived up to the rave reviews! LOVE the decor and atmosphere. I got the Cranberry Kelli with a side of pasta salad and my daughter had the Fancy Nancy with a side of Mac and cheese...all delicious and my daughter said the Mac and cheese is some of the best she's ever tasted. The little cookie they give you to go with your food is soooo good too! We also had a manager come speak to us and ask how our experience was, I love when a business interacts with their customers like that.
