I brought Dad here for lunch once before and it was a good experience. We went back for our Daddy-Daughter lunch today. I ordered the Classic Carol for Dad. The soups of the day were Loaded Potato, Chicken Poblano, and Tomato Bisque. I got Dad the Tomato Bisque and he enjoyed it. I had the Fancy Nancy sandwich on croissant with a side of pasta salad. Fancy Nancy had apples, grapes, and pecans. Love that! We both only finished half of our sandwiches so there's leftovers. The interior of this restaurant is so delightful as it feels like a casual southern restaurant with small tables and chairs and booth seating. You order at the front from their extensive menu with key highlights of their main combination items. I ordered a croissant sandwich and was able to choose the type of chicken salad. They had quite a variety. Included in the meal is a side of your choice and a tiny frosted sugar cookie and pickle. The food tasted fresh and came out quickly. The variety of items was the surprise along with the fresh items such as broccoli that included an optional freeload of chopped salad bacon. All for about $10 so it felt budget friendly. The staff was also nice and offered to take away our trash. I would absolutely return as it's a great place to meet with friends or have a quick lunch. read more

This is a great place to try different varieties of chicken salad. They have other options from salads and soups to other sandwich options. I tried the Lauryn's Lemon Basil scoop on my croissant sandwich and it had a refreshing balance of lemon and basil...not over the top. As a side I tried the loaded potato soup which was good also, but served lukewarm. The interior is bright, cheery and well decorated. It kind of has that southern charm which also gives off a modern Tea Room vibe. I definitely want to come back and give a few of the other variations of chicken salads a try. read more

It has cranberries and jalapeños in it, which is the right kick of spiciness. The cranberry Kelli I was saving for lunch tomorrow. I did take one bite and it is very bland so I will be adding more spices to it tomorrow. The red velvet cake looks delicious. It appeared moist with cream cheese frosting. The cake was very good and the cream cheese frosting even better however, the cake was a little on the dry side. The cake crumbled terrible when I went to get a bite because of the dryness. I will not order that again in the future. Also, I wanted to know every time I dine there their pickles always look like there's something wrong with them so I never eat them. I have to say I get why at lunch when we went as a surprise the drive through snaked around the parking lot and building. This place was packed and there is a reason why. Everything is delicious, plain and simple. I love the decor with all the photos on the wall, the light green paint, I love the picture with all of the family and friends that all are the flavors are named for. The service was prompt polite and helpful. Even though the place was packed we had our food in no time. I am picky about chicken salad and I have yet to have a flavor that is not mouth watering. I had sassy scout and the pimento and I devoured my scoops. My hubs liked his turkey blt, he was awfully quiet. I do not say this often but I could come here every day and twice on Sunday. They are also on my approved bathroom list. Good for a date, family meal or a group of friends. I/we will be back most definitely. They have this place running like a well oiled machine! The setup to where you can grab the bowl yourself and all the various types and sizes they offer are right there in the front refrigerator keeps me rollin right on through. This day I stopped and got a slice of the white cake. It called my name. Lol. It was good. Nothing special. The family liked it too. I've tried about 4 different kinds of chicken salad and all have been really good. I'll for sure be circling back to to try the rest of them really soon! read more

I ordered takeout....The Chick (cranberry Kelli on croissant, scoop of Fancy Nancy) and made it a trio (broccoli salad) for $2.50 more. The croissant sandwich filled with generous portion of chicken salad, lettuce and tomato was delicious. I thought it was unusual that the Fancy Nancy contained whole grapes. Four out of five packages of crackers were broken! Unacceptable! They should toss the broken crackers not give them out in a takeout order. The big pickle spear had a tough cucumber skin, which made it unpleasant to eat. Maybe they should buy smaller pickles. I noticed that the broccoli salad was served in a paper cup for dining in. The portion seemed more generous than the serving in my takeout box. I love the broccoli salad so I wanted more! The mini buttercream frosted cookie is a sweet end to the meal. I noticed the cookie was made by Cheryl's Cookies, a favorite mail order company. I enjoyed my meal and will return to try other varieties of chicken salad. read more

I enjoy trying multiple scoops of different flavors and today was no exception. The only one that did not impress was Ole. Croissants were not fresh and disappointing. The service continues to astound me. I sat close to the counter thinking maybe the girls at the counter pick and choose BUT NO they are rude and indifferent to everyone. I met the owner during the grand opening so I know it's not a reflection of the owner. It's simple. Find people that want to be there making it more enjoyable for everyone. Me and my friend both tried to use are birthday coupons for a free meal and they said it just wasn't working and that there was nothing to do about it so we paid full price.
