    Korean Styled Fried Chicken
    Julie Anna E.

The best Korean fried chicken!! The chicken used does look smaller now I will say- but the flavor and crunch is still so amazing that I am docking 0 stars for that The spicy soy garlic packs a nice punch without being overwhelming. If you don't like spicy food then go for just the regular soy garlic Haven't found a place in Pittsburgh that matches the level of this chicken!! They also have great pork kyozas and other side items like crispy calamari

Tapioca pearls good. Little cramped. Would not be good for crowds one person making drinks. Got a smoothie coffee tapioca drink. Good price.

Sweet spicy top , bottom soy garlic

The wings are not heavily battered and they are a average size. My favorite out of all the flavors is the sweet and spicy wings! 20pc+ is good to share between 2 people.

    She's my chick n she's very bubbly

When I'm in bed I can be Cuddly And fiercer than Bubba Ray Dudley But when I'm up in Pitt This chicken's the sh** So I come to eat at Chick N Bubbly! What to get: Korean Chicken Wings. What not to get: STDs from the gorgeous girls at U Pitt and nasty boys not from U Pitt that come here to pick them up. What else to get: Black Milk Tea with Tapioca Balls. What else not to get: Creepy Staring Syndrome with Blue Balls. I've been coming here for what seems like a decade, although it's not been much more than half of that. It was one of the first places I tried bubble tea when I came to Pittsburgh and I thought it was pretty good back then, but over time I realized that this korean-style boba, while being good, is not the best. I would definitely stick to the regular milk tea, as the other ones are a little on the sweet side. The real star of the show here are the Korean fried chicken wings which are still excellent after all these years. I'm not quite sure how this tiny little place manages to make them so well, but they do. Service can be hit or miss with some friendly people and some not at all friendly people, but based on the wonderful memories I have of this place and the excellent Korean Fried Chicken - which we don't expect in Pittsburgh, especially not for such a cheap price - then based on my memories of bubble tea and all the hot people that come in here and the cute branding and what not, I'll give five stars, but with reservations. For awhile, Chick N B was one of my fave things in Pitt. The bubble tea the girl recommended on my first visit was an original black tea and it was yummy. So creamy and thick and delicate and just the way I like it. It reminded me of the milk tea at Coco, a chain that is especially popular in Flushing NYC. The Korean chicken wings were off the charts good. A bit like Country Sweet (in Rochester) but better. I don't usually like sweet food unless it's a dessert, but these wings had it going on. Plus I appreciated that it cost me under 10 for the chicken and the tea. And that first time I came had lovely service too. Very busy, decent wait time, but so worth it. Awesome experience. I even wrote this about my experience, after my first visit: (1) The creamiest, sexiest, most delicious milk Bubble Tea outside Coco (Queens NYC). Absolutely heavenly. Their other flavours are pretty good too, not to the same degree as the original. (2) Ridiculously delicious sriracha-infused Korean Chicken Wings. This was the first place I ever tried KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and if this is anything to go by, I'm going to love it long long time. Unfortunately, my experiences since then have been less stellar. The wings are still amazing, and still deserve five stars. But the bubble tea has been inconsistent, and has not been nearly as enjoyable the last few times. I can't figure out what's different. It might be the creamer, it might be the tapioca itself, but also it might be that my bubble tea appreciation and tastes are becoming refined and more picky very rapidly, since I've had so much damn bubble tea lately. In any case, I'd rather get my bubble tea from I Tea Cafe in Shadyside, Sumi's in Squirrel Hill, or Love Yogurt right here in Oakland, these days. Also the service here the last few times has left something to be desired, and the most recent time they kept getting my order wrong. However, I will say that they did (eventually) fix it (begrudgingly) after I forced the issue (and by issue I mean I need to stop using so many parentheses). These days I think the BT tastes more like Kung Fu Tea than Coco. Which is not as good, because of the creamer used. Nevertheless, the BT here is still enjoyable, and the Korean Wings are excellent, as are prices. My typical Friday night includes a random cute girl and a bottle of Champagne. I like to call this concept "Chick N Bubbly." And my gf is pretty awesome. She's a cool chick, and bubbly. And when I say bubbly, I mean this in multiple ways, with emphasis on the word multiple. And by that I mean that when we are, you know, she often, well, basically, and you will not believe this and it should not be written on Yelp and it's very personal and intimate, but I'm going to tell you anyway... she tends to randomly and spontane (You have reached the character limit for this review. Chicken Gang Jeong

My fiancé and I were in the area looking for a quick bite. We saw this joint and we're super excited as they advertised KFC (Korean fried chicken) -- so we had to try it! We got the Chicken Gang Jeong which were nugget chicken bites deep fried and coated in a korean spicy sauce. The chicken seemed over fried as it was a bit tough and dried out. The sauce was solid full of flavor and spicy, which was the saving grace! For that, it gets a 2.5/5. We also got an order of the Takoyaki, which did take a bit longer to make. However, it was well worth the wait! Hot, crispy outside with a fluffy center with chunks of octopus. This made both of us happy! 4/5 I wish the chicken wasn't the sad part of our quick pit stop, but if we're in the area again we'll probably give it another try.

Korean Styled Fried Chicken (Small) Lychee Smoothie (with "bubbles")

Great food, but consider ordering ahead. The locations is small, but COVID protocols are in place. There is a plastic shield protecting the cashier and a wall of stools and tables prevent you from coming within 6 ft of the cash register. (Downside - it was somewhat difficult to hear the cashier) Because the restaurant is small and much of it is blocked off, you'll wait outside for your order to finish if happen to order in person. Mine took about 15 minutes. I recommend ordering ahead of time, especially during winter. I purchased a small order of Korean style fried chicken. It was 10 pieces of chicken wings, cooked perfectly. Thin, crunchy outer layer with juicy inner meat. You get a choice of sauce and I ordered the sweet and spicy at the recommendation of the cashier. It was very good! Not spicy though, IMO. Also, I ordered a lychee smoothie with Boba. That was fantastic! Highly recommend. If you like wings and boba- definitely check this place out.

I heard a lot of good things about the ranch and it was good once I really really tasted it. I didn't find it that flavorful off the top but once I really tasted it, it did have good flavor. Maybe this was a fresh batch that needed to sit. My dad got the buffalo chicken eggrolls. They were good, but we didn't realize it would just be chicken dip in the eggroll wrapper We were expecting shredded chicken with hot sauce and cheese or something similar. I came to celebrate my granddad's birthday just to try something new and he generally likes bar food. He enjoyed it as we sang happy birthday to him. November 2025: lightly edited realtime notes:…read more - This is like a pop-up restaurant that is inside of a bar. - Buffalo wings, Nashville hot wings. The wings are cooked perfectly. The sauce is weak. The fact that the wings are crispy and fried and 100% dead-on makes up for the weak sauce. All things considered, 4.2. Could be 4.6 to 4.8 with decent sauce. In retrospect, having tasted the sauce as a side (below) I think they tossed the wings in the sauce when they were too hot, kind of denatured things, and got too much oil in it. The sauce is actually very good, and these wings could have been a notch or two better if they had let them cool for just a hot second before tossing them. These wings have the potential to be some of the very best in the city. - Onion rings here are just absolutely perfect. Think of the best a Burger King onion ring could be, and these are four notches up from that. - The french fries are OK. - The side of buffalo sauce that they brought us from the kitchen is so much better than how the wings came out; I am presuming that the wings were tossed in the sauce too hot, and not enough. These guys actually have a great buffalo sauce. - I got the Smashburger. Cheese, lettuce, pickles and their special sauce. No substitutions permitted. This burger is excellent and exactly what I wanted. 10 of 10, would totally order again. - One of our group got the signature applewood burger."It's delicious!" - Another got the farmhouse burger and seems to be completely tickled with it. "It's really good. How can you go wrong with bacon and egg on a burger?" Unfortunately, restaurant was out of the cheese sauce tonight. We observed that the cheese sauce would've made it "fire." - J got the Cajun burger. "Awesome. Very good!" He wishes he would've asked them to add bacon to it.
