Instead, we found a place that absolutely understood the assignment. We both ordered the Jerusalem Mix pita, and wow. It's a full-on flavor festival. Savory, spiced, juicy, and perfectly balanced. Every bite had something new going on, in the best way. This pita does not play small talk. And then there's the complimentary salad bar, which deserves its own applause. Fresh, crisp, and featuring pickled carrots and peppers that add just the right tangy punch. It's one of those "I'll just grab a little" situations that turns into "I'm going back again." Bonus points for the huge glasses of water. Not dainty. Not decorative. Hydration that means business. Truly appreciated. Service was fast, friendly, and exactly what you want when you're on a timeline but still care deeply about eating well. We'll absolutely be back, whether we're headed to a concert or just craving something that tastes way better than it has any right to for how easy and quick it is. Pita Xpress is officially on our repeat list. Come hungry and bring good vibes.

The tables are clean and the silverware is disposable so it's always clean. The mood is chill and Israeli pop music plays on the overhead. You can even eat outside if you want. I had fun today. My daughter ordered the chicken shawarma with a side of wings. To start, absolutely nothing looked like the pictures presented on the menu, which was already concerning. The shrimp had no flavor at all -- not even a natural seafood taste. I have never had shrimp so bland. The yellow rice was just okay, nothing special. The Greek salad and pita bread were honestly the best parts of the meal. I also ordered a cup of lentil soup. While I love garlic, this soup had an overpowering garlic taste that made it hard to enjoy. It was very watery and mostly liquid, with only a few small pieces of carrots. My daughter couldn't eat much of her chicken shawarma because the garlic aioli was so pungent that it overwhelmed everything else. The wings were clearly frozen and deep-fried, with too much fat. We ended up eating the wings and cold fries simply because we hadn't eaten all day. Overall, the food quality was very disappointing. I just hope we don't get sick from the seafood. I should have paid more attention to the fact that there wasn't even a cooked food smell in the restaurant when we walked in. Sadly, this was not a good experience for us.

The owner was helpful navigating through a few of their specialty items. Ordered the loaded lamb gyro. Took a seat near the window gazing at the artistic vibrant wall mural proudly depicting the Pita Shop name with gyros and shawarma against a drift wood background (see pic). The gyro was massive with lean strips of lamb with plenty of onions and tomatoes but the white tzatziki sauce excited my taste buds with every bite. The doors of the gender assigned bathrooms continued the vibrant mural decor. The inside was clean with basic design. This Pita Shop seemed well managed with excellent food which earns then a strong five star rating.

Avoid this place at all costs…read more This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The falafel was terrible, the chicken kebob plate was awful, and the overall food quality was completely unacceptable for somewhere calling itself Mediterranean cuisine. The dish claimed to come with peppers there was literally one tiny piece in the entire kebab. The chicken had no flavor and tasted poorly, and the rice was completely off, more like Mexican rice than anything remotely Mediterranean. What's even more frustrating is the way the staff handled it. When we raised concerns, they didn't take any responsibility and brushed it off as if the issue was on us. No attempt to fix the problem, no acknowledgment just dismissive and unprofessional. And somehow, they charge a mandatory 20% service fee for this. For what? There was zero service, zero care, and zero effort to make things right. Charging customers extra while delivering this level of food and attitude is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I'd take store-bought hummus from Publix over this. If you actually want good Mediterranean food and proper service, go to Ethos instead it's night and day. This place is not worth it.

I enjoyed the combination of flavors from the meat, rice, and vegetables. However, I wasn't a fan of the truffle cheese fries as they didn't seem fully cooked. The hummus appetizer also didn't taste very fresh and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the beef skewer medium rare, but it came out overcooked and chewy. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some good items and some that could use improvement.
