I stopped by here yesterday with my wife and twins for lunch. We had found the hummus house on Yelp and liked that the food looked good and that it was somewhat close by. I then navigated over to their website and placed an order through their preferred online ordering system which ended up being sauce. The website told me that it would be ready in 15 minutes. Whenever we got there 20 minutes later my wife ended up running in to get the food since there wasn't a good parking spot. She eventually had to come out to get my phone to show them our order and was then told that it just came through. About 10 minutes after that we had our food and were on our way. For lunch on this day I ended up ordering the sabich eggplant pita and my wife went with the 6 pieces falafel with tahini. The menu described my pita as Hummus, grilled eggplants, hard-boiled egg in a pita topped with chopped cucumber, tomato and pickle, Served with tahini sauce and my wife's as 6 crispy chickpea balls and tahini sauce. My sandwich here ended up being decent and I really enjoyed the eggplant and hummus portion of my pita. It was decently flavorful and by the time I was done I was full although I wasn't completely satisfied. My wife did enjoy her falafel though and they really looked crispy. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While I wasn't a fan of the wait while we were at the restaurant, my food was alright. read more

TLDR: A solid Mediterranean restaurant with good vegetarian / vegan food, but is priced more like a full service restaurant rather than counter service. Once again, no complaints, but as many of you know, I reserve 5 star service for those who go above and beyond making a truly memorable experience. Food: we wanted to try as much as possible. So we got the appetizer trio, lentil soup, falafel platter, and Jerusalem Mix Platter. While the falafel was probably the best we have had in South Florida and the babaghanoush was delightful, everything else just wasn't at the same level. The lentil soup was a bit underseasoned, just your plain lentil soup, no kick of pepper or something else. The hummus was solid, but a bit bitter to our taste. And the Jerusalem Mix faux meat proteins themselves were pretty good, but the seasoning felt one note. Lastly, at $20 / plate and for the wife and I we spent $75 without drinks for an app, soup, two plates, and a small dessert. For counter service / takeaway style of meal, it just seems a tad too high, even for South Florida. We have nearby full service restaurants that charge $17-18 / plate and are just as good or even better. Everything was good. The falafel was the highlight with the tahini sauce. The tabbouleh could use some more lemon juice or something, it was a bit bland. Grape leaves were great. Hummus was good and pita bread warm and soft. I really enjoyed the cabbage and pickles added! My husband enjoyed his pita sandwich but our son didn't eat much of his. Hummus house is a hidden gem! Stopped in for lunch after my sister had told me about 100 times. I'm not a vegetarian, but i love good food, especially Israeli food! After looking at the menu and asking for suggestions, i ended up ordering quite a few things. I got the falafel pita. The shawarma platter which was packed with meatless shawarma, fresh delicious tabouleh salad, red cabbage and more hummus! The Moroccan egg rolls. Crispy filo dough that had veggies/spices in it that blew me away. Dip it in the tahini sauce and they got even better! Finally, the shakshuka. I've had this in a few places and this holds up as one of the best I've had in the area. This tomato based dish served in a skillet had so much flavor! I do wish the eggs were a little runnier because i like the flavor of the yolk but you could taste the love put into this dish! How did it take me so long to come here?! Stopped in for lunch and was blown away by how delicious the food is. I got a hummus bowl with falafel. Its a generous serving of hummus with 4 super crispy on the outside (and soft on the inside) falafels. Man, this was so good. It comes with a side of pickled cabbage, mini pickles, a spicy green sauce and a fluffy pita bread. Wowza. This was super filling and delicious. Washed it down with one of their homemade lemonades that have some sort of herb in it. It's almost like a slushie. Cool and refreshing. Also had a baklava and it was also incredible. Once arrived it looked delicious and definitely was good. Nice salad but with only 3 falafels. Was hoping to get a bit more to make the salad a bit more filling. I also thought the price was a bit steep $15-20 range. I am an avid middle eastern food eater and this is the most expensive ive had. Its not worth it. It seems unreasonable to take chickpeas- hummus and falafel and very inexpensive food item and put premium prices on it and then be very frugal about it. At least give me 5 falafel for that price i would have said ok. The owner was sitting outside and walked in and out multiple times and didnt engage with any of the customers. I am a pescatarian who does not like Hummus. Now that we got that out of the way and you have silently questioned my ability to rate this restaurant we can continue. For a non-hummus this place was phenomenal. The vibe was an eclectic little shop that should be ina boho part of town. It was quaint inside but the decor was simple and fresh. It was really warm and inviting and made for great instagram photos. Food: I tried rhe Moroccan spring rolls, the falafel pita, the falafel hummus and baklava. The falafel was so delicious. I hate when falafel is too crunchy and this was the opposite. Plus the hummus was creamy and delicious. They added pickled cabbage and pickles and although I skeptical it was actually so good. Randomly stumbled upon the Hummus House and was glad that I did. My wife and I shared the meatless shawarma platter with a side of falafel and some extra pita. We weren't super hungry but it was plenty of food to split and the price was right at just over $20. I can't compare this to other vegetarian Israeli restaurants but everything we tried was excellent. As a meat eater I can attest to the fact that this "meat" is a good comparable alternative. The tastiest part of the platter though is the hummus in my opinion. It's perfect. The pickled cabbage with pickles and the tabouli with fresh parsley (and to my delight sans tomato) were on point. We didn't use the side of spicy sauce but some may like it. The falafel also had the right texture, combination of flavors/spices, and size. The interior of the restaurant is small with just a couple of tables. The food came very fast but we came at a very quiet time so I can't say that would always be the case.
