    LAMB GYRO
    Daren R.

Mediterranean gyro shop with the three giant skewers of warm meats including lamb, chicken and beef dripping with glistening fats on full display behind the counter intended for customers to salivate during menu selection. The owner was helpful navigating through a few of their specialty items. Ordered the loaded lamb gyro. Took a seat near the window gazing at the artistic vibrant wall mural proudly depicting the Pita Shop name with gyros and shawarma against a drift wood background (see pic). The gyro was massive with lean strips of lamb with plenty of onions and tomatoes but the white tzatziki sauce excited my taste buds with every bite. The doors of the gender assigned bathrooms continued the vibrant mural decor. The inside was clean with basic design. This Pita Shop seemed well managed with excellent food which earns then a strong five star rating.

Yum!!! What a pita shop!! We enjoyed the falafel pita and the chicken pita. Nice mom and pop pita shop, happy to support a local business. It's in the neighborhood Walmart shopping plaza so lots of free parking nearby. Good lunch special!

Made a decision while driving around Cooper City to find a good sandwich for lunch but instead got the urge to try this pita place which was hidden from the main roadway. Tried the lamb gyro with a side Greek salad. The gyro was very large but ate the entire thing, tasted fresh but a little too salty. Liked the salad since it was chopped up perfectly with good chunks of feta cheese. Noticed the owner cleaning the tables as soon as customers leave making a clean dining experience.

Pita Shop is our go to for a quick, reasonable, and tasty meal. My usual meal is the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken Shawarma. The salad is bright, crisp and fresh. The portions are large. A small salad is plenty. The Shawarma is seasoned perfectly. Last night I was in the mood for something new so I tried the Snapoer Platter with a double side of Greek Salad This was also excellent. Husband usually gets a Chicken Shawarma pita or wrap with fries. The soups are also fabulous. The staff members are friendly and helpful.

    Falafel Pita Combo

I ordered the Falafel pita combo & babaganush. The Falafel was just ok. It's was sparsely filled with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & tahini. The Falafel its self was tasty. I was missing the Mediterranean salad mix that's usually in it as well as the Tzatziki. The Babaganosh was excellent. All and all it was an average experience into Mediterranean Food. Price wise a little pricey.

I stopped by here for a lamb gyro. I recall visiting this place about a year or two ago and the people were much more friendly then. There were two guys behind the counter who seemed chill and were waiting for me to decide. One took my order and asked if I wanted a side of fries or salad. I declined because the gyro itself was enough for me as expected later on and I didn't want any leftovers. I was paying while he was on the phone, which by all means, is no sweat. The other guy let me know it was ready. The gyro was massive enough to fill my appetite. Fillings were decent; the only issue I had was that the tzatziki sauce seemed more watery than creamy, but no stress. The service was fast. This one is right by the Walmart Neighborhood store on your way to one of the exits towards Stirling Road.

I got really excited when I saw a local spot with falafel. The first time I ordered on Uber eats the wrap was great. The second time my falafel bowl had bits of chicken. Overall the food is decent. The fries are great. But I would not expect pieces of chicken in my falafel bowl. I am willing to give it a second go. The rice was yummy !

I tried this place again about a year later, and I still agree with my last 3 star review. I got the chicken gyro bowl and it tasted like low quality meat. My friend got the chicken shawarma pita and she agreed. Come here if you need a quick meal. But don't expect much.

We have been meaning to order from here since they opened. I honestly have no clue why it took us so long to try this food. Hubs and I love Greek but I need to be in the mood. Our first time we ate here, we were out and decided to stop in. The restaurant only had one other person but the staff appeared busy making and preparing food. I always get a lamb gyro when choosing Greek cuisine and this time was no different. I have grown to like onions more in my food over recent years but I think it is too strong to have in a gyro, so I 86 it. Of course I always add extra tzatziki sauce. We also decided to try their Greek salad and Greek fries. Hubs ordered Chicken Shawarma, which came with a small salad as well. The staff member taking our order was very friendly and told us our food would be ready in about 15 minutes. We decided to go grocery shopping in the meantime. We returned back and did not wait too much longer for our food to come out. Everything was delicious! The order was correct and nothing was missing. We ordered from here via Uber Eats and DoorDash after our first visit and everything was just as good. There are tables and seats inside the store to eat in but no table service, to my knowledge. I'm getting hungry and craving this while writing this review!

I love falafels and I normally make homemade ones. Today, I was like let me give this place a try since I was in a rush. The place, going in looked so nice and clean so I was not one but hesitant ordering from here. The lady in the front when I asked her if I should get the chicken shawarma or falafel wrap, suggested that their falafel is good. So I got that and a Mediterranean salad small size. I got the falafel with spicy tahini and side of garlic sauce. My falafel coming home was soggy, and I only live 10 mins away and the salads lettuce was not fresh at all. The olives were soggy as well! I was really disappointed in the falafel sandwich as it was dry and didn't put any spicy tahini sauce which I was so confused about as to why it was soggy. The baklava I got had some weird oil base thing that was covering the bottom of the container so I didn't even try it. The taste could have been better of the meal if it was not soggy and not dry!

The best Mediterranean food in the area! The flavors are authentic, the service is excellent, and every dish is made with quality ingredients. Whether you're craving fresh hummus, perfectly grilled kebabs, or delicious baklava, this place delivers an unforgettable experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making sure every guest feels at home. From the warm pita to the flavorful spices, every bite transports you straight to the Mediterranean. If you're looking for a true taste of tradition, this is the spot!

I had this place bookmarked after seeing a lot of good reviews and decided to grab a bite to eat with my oldest daughter since I was with her. My husband and middle daughter are not that adventurous and didn't want to come... their loss. They have a couple of tables inside and 2 tables outside if you prefer outdoor dining which is what we did. We placed our order of chicken kabob platter with pita & hummus and gyro platter with hummus & Greek fries. After waiting for a few minutes, we were told that we could have a seat and they would bring our food to us so we grabbed a table outside. The weather was a little chilly that night, but not unbearable. The guy that brought out our food was so sweet. He was concerned with us sitting outside because our food would get cold. He even brought out some extra pita for us to share. The food smelled so good when he brought it out! The chicken was very moist and flavorful. I even tried my daughter's gyro and liked it. I would have never ordered it because I could never get past the thought that it's lamb. However, now that I've tried it, I wouldn't be afraid to order it. When we were done, we brought our dirty plates inside and the guy who brought our food out asked if we liked it. It was very touching that he wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our meal!

I live in the area so when I saw this place being built I was excited to try a fast casual Greek spot. Enter a year and a pandemic later, I finally made it! The only downside is im sorry I waited so long! All the reviews speak for themselves and the pictures look mouthwatering. The hardest part was determining what would be my first to try on the menu! They offer smaller classic Mediterranean appetizers, to larger platter with sides to trays for catering. For this time around I opted for the gyro platter with a side salad and small hummus. You get two sides, so I went with pita and the salad. This way I could optimize my dipping in the tzatziki and the hummus. Both were delicious and clearly homemade. The hummus is super creamy and the tzatziki is super flavorful. Also, I like salad, but I can't say I've ever been so excited about a side salad before. It's a healthy size side salad topped with a super tasty greek vinaigrette and a handful of feta...yum! Really well dressed and just overall really tasty. I know it's a salad...but it really is good! I also opted for take out and was happy how everything was packed and was up for a car ride home. The place is super clean, no frills but the food and staff are quality. If you have any questions they happily walk you through the menu. The also offer a wide variety of delivery options in case you want to wait home for your order. Overall, if you are looking for some quality fast casual Greek eats, you should definitely check this place out!

This place is amazing, one of the top 10 best restaurants that I have ever eaten at. We started with the Baba Ghanouj which was out of this world, The garlic yogurt (I think) and pickled vegies made it that much more special. I had the lamb Shish Kabob and my friend had Chicken Kabab both with kabsa rice and we both loved it. The kabsa rice was so tasty and aromatic, loved the cardamon. The portions were very generous, enough that we had enough for dinner the next night. What topped the dinner was the fresh baklava, so many delicious varieties. We bought a lot to take home. The young man who waited on us was so friendly and accommodating, and had a wonderful smile. Service was impeccable and we had a few nice discussions of language and culture. Once again young man, welcome to America. We will now be regulars. What a gem!

We've been hitting up Mediterranean restaurants like nobody's business on this leg of our spring…read morebreak, in part because of our proximity to many, and in part because my progeny and I are currently obsessed with babaganoush in its many variations. For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.
