Loft has some great clothes, but their "free 30-day returns" policy leaves a lot to be desired!…read more If anyone from Loft reads their online reviews, this is a story in how to drive a previously happy Loft customer away for good. I needed a different size in an item that was gifted to me through Loft online. My size wasn't available online, so I started to process a return on the Loft web site. There was no option to receive a store credit, which would have been perfect since this was gift. Then, they wanted to take a $10 return fee from my gift-giver's credit card if I returned the item by mail, but no fee if I returned it in store. This is non-sense, especially since the nearest Loft store to me is 45 miles away and in a place that I never go to or need to visit. Frustrated, but out of principle, I made the hour plus drive to the store for the free return. My experience trying to return this $35 item grew from bad to worse dealing with the Loft clerk. Sparing details here about my drama with her, I didn't have time to shop for something else and I just wanted a store credit to use later online. She ultimately handed me the store credit on a piece of paper (Loft no longer has cards apparently) and THEN told me that it was only good in-store and not online. This, after I just told her my town's store closed 10 years ago and I had to drive 45 miles to get here. I asked her to cancel the store credit and refund my gift-giver's card in full. I had to argue with her to do that for me too! Loft management, this is bad customer service and damages your brand. It sends a message that you do not support your customers. - No longer a Loft fan -

Dillard's - No Tom Ford out because loss prevention is too hard. Guess what? Bought the Eau de Parfum elsewhere.

I used to shop at this Dillard's many years ago and loved it. Recently, I noticed a weird…read morestore-wide odor but nonetheless bought a shirt I was crazy about...until I tried it on at home and discovered the "stank" was IN the shirt, triggering my asthma badly, and giving me a rash. Same as another Yelp poster, I tried everything I could think of to get the smell out--soaking, vinegar, Borax, even dish soap--and washed it over and over but nothing worked. I had to get rid of the shirt. Then the other day I bought underwear there, and had exactly the same reaction. I finally realized this chemical smell is IN EVERYTHING in the store. Pathetic that I won't be able to shop there anymore.

DILLARD'S is horrible!! They have horrible policies, horrible management, and they do not value…read moretheir customers. They literally steal from their customers! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU WON'T EITHER! I purchased a formal dress from a clearance rack. It looked good under the dim lighting in the store. A few weeks later when I tried it on at home I could see stains all over the entire dress, so bad that it could not be worn. They absolutely refused to give me a refund or exchange stating that they have a 3- day return policy on clearance items, even though their website states that those return limitations do not apply to merchandise that is damaged. The store manager in Colorado Springs is mean. She accused me of putting the tags back on the dress in the wrong location as if I would have damaged it myself and then returned it. She and her associates ganged up on me and were threatening me, who was the customer! I'm a grandmother and it was a bit scary to me. Why does society not speak up these days, but instead continue to support businesses like that, as if the customer is bad for asking for a refund or complaining about a product they paid money for that they can't use because it's damaged or defective; like it's just ok to be taken advantage of! I had other issues with them not honoring returns in the past but didn't learn my lesson until now. If my review isn't convincing enough just read other reviews on Dillard's. There's good reason why they only have a 1.3 rating.
