In town visiting a friend and we came here to join the ND Club of the Bay Area to watch the Sugar Bowl game. I got a coconut mojito and pretzel, friends got beers, wings, and mozzarella sticks. The mojito is DELICIOUS! Refreshing and not overly sweet. Perfect cocktail for me being a picky drinker. The pretzel order came with 2 and nacho queso, but they had no salt, and one of them was not heated all the way through and we had to send it back to warm up. The mozzarella sticks were shorter and plumper than the usual bar sticks, and the breading was different. They were ok, but when the cheese is that thick, they weren't fully melted in the center. The wings, however, were perfect and .y friends made note to keep this on their list of places with good wings. They were crispy and juicy, and the sauce was really good without being overly spicy. Plus, it was all flats without asking for it and she loved that! Ordered the fries after halftime, and they are bomb! Love me some good shoestring fries that are crisp and salty outside and chewy inside. So good! Definitely get the fries! Panda was our server (and I think the only server for the whole bar tending to all us game watchers), and she was friendly and did a fantastic job keeping on top of every table. The other staff member helping clear tables and run food was also attentive and helped keep tabs on everyone. Not easy to find parking in the area, but overall it was a great spot to hang for the game watch with fellow Irish fans! They have tvs in multiple areas and angles throughout the bar and outside!!

Play games right at the bar! I was green. Total domination.

Total gem! We came here on a whim on a Saturday evening, as we'd been wanting to spend more time exploring North Beach. We were drawn to the quaint neighborhood pub appearance, and ended up having a fantastic time here! The interior is very charming, with lots of interesting art painted on the walls, stained glass, cozy wood paneling, and plenty of seating. We plopped ourselves at the relatively empty bar, and were greeted by two very friendly bartenders. The drinks were pretty good, and exactly what I'd expect from a classic sports pub - nothing special, but it got the job done! We tried the Paper Plane, Hot Irish Coffee, and a couple beers. Our drinks were brought out quickly, and they even asked if we wanted to play games at the bar! After obviously saying yes, they brought us a portable Connect Four board, so I was able to dominate my partner at games while we sipped our drinks. The bartenders were lively and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Chief Sullivan's provided exactly the cozy neighborhood pub vibe we were looking for, and I'm sure we'll be back again!

We try to get a drink , was pack the place , so we decide to get in line , I was walking through and this man who works there was so rude he scream to me to go to the line , inside say to him I'm doing that so he dream again , I don't know what kind of employees you have , he was so in respect to me . Please keep on eye of this man . Thank you . Atmosphere was horrible !

Cozy Irish bar with lots of indoor space and TVs to watch SF teams. I love the random murals and overall dive-ness of the place. Great place to grab beers before heading to Club Fugazi.

Service was good and attentive on a bustling Saturday afternoon. They sat us at the back patio since they were full out front but given we were the only ones sitting there it was a bit odd. We asked to move and they accommodated. Pretzel came with a dope cheese pimento and beers and mixed drinks were both great.

Been here for awesome breakfast twice then next 3 times either closed with no notice or no food serving anymore. Checked their website for brunch. Now they only have empanadas. That's not brunch food just bites. So sad.

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!

It's also a cool destination for friends visiting from out of town. It's hard to pass up hanging out at the oldest bar in San Francisco, made partially from parts of a shipwreck! It has that classic, old-timey neighborhood bar feel without feeling overly touristy. The staff is always so nice and welcoming! The drinks are great (I think I've had most of the cocktail menu at this point), and the food is delicious. My favorite cocktail would have to be the Pimm's Cup, though it's hard to choose just one. Food-wise, we've had the burger (mine with a Beyond patty), the patty melt, chicken mole nachos, quesadilla, chili, clam chowder, and mac & cheese--can you tell we come here a lot? I haven't personally tried the meats, but the mole sauce on the chicken mole nachos is delicious, almost as good as the mole my parents make. The burger is so good and is my usual go-to, with sweet potato fries. I'd say we've tried a good majority of the menu at this point, and we've never been disappointed. I highly recommend it for a chill night with friends or to watch a game. There's also a small outdoor area that's great if you're looking for a quieter evening. We usually only sit outside when we bring our dog (she loves bars--might have a drinking problem).

Great little bar in the FiDi, open late, and serves food late at night which is a huge plus. Even after a celebratory dinner, we couldn't resist getting the quesadilla here again - this place makes one of the best quesadillas I've had. Get it with guacamole, which they fold into the quesadilla. The drinks are good, and reasonably priced, especially for SF. Good selection of beers. When you walk in, you'll feel like you're on the deck of a ship - or like you've had a few too many - because the floor is slanted. Fun place, and draws in the local crowd. See you soon, Old Ship. Probably this weekend, as we continue RB's birthday celebration.
