The only negative thing that I have to say about the experience is that I had asked when we sat down for the loan what percentage the rates started at. We were told they started at 5.25%. My sister has good credit so I wasn't expecting her payment to fall in a much higher percentage bucket. We were good with the price of the vehicle, and the warranty that she added on. However, and this is a big however, until we were signing the documents, did we see for the first time that the loan she was being given was at over 14% APR. This is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of for somebody who has good credit. We wasted no time going over to Navy Federal and securing her a proper loan at a reasonable rate. The amount that Carmax was trying to charge her in interest was more than half of what the vehicle cost with the add-ons. Let that sink in. Do not sign blindly and make sure you understand what you would be paying in interest. I highly recommend getting pre-approved elsewhere for a loan first and not using their financing. You have three days to get a loan elsewhere and have it changed over, but I would suggest making sure you're eligible before you go car broke. We didn't see any of that until half way through signing the contract. Kind of crazy!

CARMAX does not do repairs on Tesla's, they will send you to the Tesla dealership on military highway. Once there, Tesla does not accept third-party warranties you will have to pay for all repairs out-of-pocket with a hope of reimbursement from Max Care. If they approve the reimbursement, it will take 3 to 4 weeks. It's been a cluster bomb. I hope to save someone a ton of trouble and Time.

Shawn was knowledgeable, helpful, and worked hard to get me the best possible price. Their pricing was very competitive. The dealership has a family-oriented atmosphere, and everyone was willing to help. The vehicles are thoroughly inspected, which gave me confidence in my purchase. I flew from California to Virginia to pick up my Jeep, and they even provided concierge service from the airport. I then drove the Jeep nearly 3,000 miles back home to California without a single issue. Car Exchange is an honest dealership with great vehicles. I am very happy with my decision to purchase from them and would highly recommend them to anyone. Whether you're local or buying from out of state, they will take great care of you. They also have a great selection of cars and trucks.

Bad used car dealers are the devil. These people take money from you and your family to feed them and there family and sleep with it.I couldn't do people like that just for money. If I become a dealer ,I will stand behind my cars or take the loss. You would get more customers that way!

The owner,…read moreJohn Gabriel, worked with me when I explained I had a horrible experience with a previous dealership where I drove 3 hours away and I made an appointment and they sold the car to someone else while I was test driving it, and he promised to work with me to make sure I don't have a similar experience and he really did make it happen. I drove 3 and a half hours to get there and immediately I could tell my happiness truly was their priority and they care about their customers. The other two associates were also incredibly friendly and helpful when walking me through the actual buying process. They made sure I was all set before making my drive home by making sure I had a full sized spare tire, when I brought up my concern that there was no front license plate mount they instantly took action to make sure it was fixed for me, and a full tank of gas! I went home with an amazing car and an even better experience. Thank you so much!

Long-time customer of their Yorktown location, glad to see they're on Southside now…read more My family has been going to their Yorktown location for years, and have had great service on all of our German cars, including a vintage Porsche 944, a BMW E39 528i, a BMW Z3, and a 2002 Mercedes SLK 230 (which was actually purchased from Auto Haus). My brother since then purchased his car (Toyota Camry) from Chai Douanglee, and couldn't have been happier with the transaction. That was nearly 2 years ago, and the car has performed flawlessly since then. I've always been happy with their service, recently getting a leak in the SLK 230's transmission fixed ath the Va Beach Location. It was cheaper than I expected, and they had me in-and-out in about 80 minutes, getting started right at the scheduled drop-off time. They offered to shuttle me elsewhere if I needed it, but I opted to just wait there in their comfortable waiting room, and catch up on some paperwork. Joey, the service tech, was incredible polite both over-the-phone, and in person, and the service tech (who's name I forget now, but will update later), was also very polite and answered all the questions I had about the car's maintenance, and the service performed.

When I stopped to check my truck out (and look at the Raptor they had), I was struck immediately by the friendliness and professionalism of every single team member. There was no pressure, no subterfuge, no BS. They were upfront and matter-of-fact about every aspect of my truck, they printed a copy of the original window sticker, the Carfax, everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. The level of trust they engendered is rare nowadays, particularly from pre-owned dealerships. It was a fantastic experience, from my first unannounced visit to the completion of the sale. Since I felt so comfortable working with LA Auto Star, I asked them to find the exact vehicle my wife wanted; Another unicorn-Well maintained, particular model, color, options rust-free. Hard to find, but they finally found it, and we just completed another enjoyable, comfortable buying experience. They even delivered both vehicles to my driveway, 45 minutes away, through the tunnel! Remarkable pre-owned auto and RV dealership. Highly, highly recommend LA Auto Star. Good people. Trustworthy. When it comes time to finally retire and purchase an RV, this is where I will come first.
