So this is my second time coming to The Car Shop. Every time I come here I leave completely satisfied with the care I have been given. I (luckily) had a warranty coming and these guys were so professional the first time I went and they made sure not to beat up too bad with the price. When my car ended up getting some scoobys and I needed them to replace the engine bad. $7800 to $1608. I couldn't ask for a better job from them and the car drives smooth. Shoot smoother than when I got it it feels like lol. Nonetheless. You someone to take good care of your car? Come here. I drive from near Norfolk the 25ish minutes just so I can come here because of how welcoming, honest, professional, clean, and prompt these guys are. But hey. If you don't believe me? Go to em!! Initially, I felt good that I found a repair shop that listened to my concerns and expressed how other shops had been and what was done. They called me throughout the process ect. However, when I picked up my vehicle, I knew something was "off" but it was late in the day so I waited until the next morning to address my question and concern. First off, telling me that sometimes a timing belt needs to be worked in so drive it a few days and call them back Monday if it was still the same. That would've been 5 days. I brought it back the next day and said no I'm not going to do what was told. I know how my vehicle drives. It's not my first time getting major repairs done and I have never felt unsafe driving my vehicle. There is a list of things that I should add but quite frankly.. after spending almost 3 grand.. I don't trust them to touch my vehicle. I'd like to say that I do understand the labor intensity of replacing the heater core, but to not cover the front seats and it's covered in oil is just bad business period. read more

Installed my custom suspension 6 months ago and car still runs good! I had some springs and struts I wanted to install. These were shock inserts that needed ALOT more work than the usual. My cousin, who is way more knowledgeable than me car mods, wasn't sure about doing this job and he usually is my go to if I need help. I started looking around and came across these guys. So initially I picked the Car Shop based on the star rating I seen and their availability. The staff that I interacted with were kind and approachable. They explained everything since I was using my car warranty. They remained in communication and when I called with a question they were happy to answer. The repair was faster than I expected and my truck was as good as new. Hopefully I won't but if I ever need any other repairs done I will be returning to the car shop! read more

This place is a joke. Guy who runs this place is doing shabby work! Wanted to charge me $1000-1500 to fix 10inches of a tube. Once I found out how He was going to do a shitty job I asked for a quote for the complete fix. (To fix the whole tube) The he told me to come and pick my car up! So either pay $1000-1500 for a shitty quick fix or we don't want your business. The worst part of it was I was willing to pay 1500 for a "good" job but not the quick fix!!!!! If I was the owner I would be furious. Turning away business because it's not the easiest job. Customer has money to pay for a job and you turn them away?????? The guy was like "I don't want to do the job because of the liability." - yea because you want to do a SHITTY job! If you did the job right there wouldn't be anything to worry about!!!!!! Needless to say I went down the street and getting the complete job done for $600. *** Update: after reading the owners response my comment remains. He told me over the phone he only wanted to "replace part of the line". I wanted and asked for a price on replacing the entire fuel line and he refused and asked me to pick up the car. PERIOD. I get it, it's a big nasty job. But still the owner never even gave me a price. Only wanted to fix a small section. But also he's complaining about a potential customers car that's leaking fuel because... he refused to do the job. Oh and yes I will agree about one thing, he looked at my car... for free. Matt and Chip saved me thousands of dollars!! Literally. I live in DC (3.5 hours away) and found a a used vehicle in the VA beach area but wanted to have a Pre-Purchase Inspection done as I am not that knowledgeable of vehicles and because I am a out of State Resident I did not want to go through the hassle of purchasing a lemon. These guys are so HONEST and NICE. Matt was very detailed and was so thorough that I was able to fully understand the problems the car would have caused in simple terms. I showed the diagnostic to a mechanic back home and even he said just based on the notes he could tell Matt knew what he was doing. Chip was So sweet. I was assured after speaking with the manager (Jeff) that everything would be handled. I did received my gas tank. No, Bill of Lading, No receipt...no way of even telling what type of tank it is or sending it back if it doesn't fit. A manager is only as good as the person that trains him. I'm going to take this lose which ultimately will cost me $410.00. I'm really tired of dealing with incompetent people and people that do not keep their word. A great auto shop with very professional and genuine staff. I had run into to some car problems at another shop, basically the mechanic flooded my engine in order to get my insurance claim to pay it by saying I ran over a puddle. Long story short my insurance wasn't buying and I was furious. I networked with friends to find a respectable body shop. I was skeptical at first of the basic name but after my car was done I realized why their name made sense. Straight forward hardworking people, that love not only their work, but take pride in helping others. They got me a great deal on a built from scratch engine just for my car and had it installed in a timely manner in time for me to begin my cross country trip to California. I got my brakes, calipers, ect. replaced a few months ago and Tara, who works the service desk not only found me the best prices on everything, she even went out of her way to take me home so I didn't have to wait around the shop for hours while my car was repaired! She also came and picked me back up so I could get my car later that day! If that isn't excellent customer service I don't know what is. Great place to take your car, weather its basic maintenance to most custom work, they are a professional and friendly staff. My car's a/c system needed work and had taken it to Integrity Auto, but only resulted in poor customer service and communication in my experience.
